Hi everyone!

It’s officially February 13th, which means our basket auction is officially upon us! Although the event probably takes place around mid-day in Auradon, from this point forward you can have your characters acknowledge all basket-related things on the dash in character!

This means your muses now know who made baskets, what’s inside of baskets, who bought baskets… and most importantly, it means you’re free to start posting auction-related threads.

Good morning, Auradon!

We are so excited to be able to announce the winners of our basket auction a day ahead of schedule! We will stagger the posts throughout the day, but before the results are revealed, we just wanted to remind you guys of a couple of things:

Even though you are finding out the results OOC today, your characters will not know who they won in character until Saturday, February 13th (the day of the auction). 

There are a few individuals who were outbid on every basket they went for, or whose baskets fell to NPCs because their bidders won baskets they prioritized higher. We won’t be pairing you guys up from an admin standpoint, but if you want to chat OOC and pair up your muses that fell through the cracks, you are more than welcome to.

If you have any questions or need any additional info, let us know! Otherwise, keep your eye out -- the buyers of the first ten baskets will be posted soon.

can you start posting who won the pre-sold baskets?

Unfortunately, we’re going to keep those under wraps until we’re ready to reveal the rest of the results! We don’t want to accidentally spoil anything - like, if hypothetically basket 70 was made by Clay Clayton, but someone thought that they were bidding on Clay as basket 71, it would take some of the surprise out of things! Or maybe someone was hoping Mad Maddy bid on their basket; revealing she was actually basket 72 would let you know that she wasn’t actually a possibility. It’s just better to keep them all a secret for the time being.

can we get an updated list of which baskets have bids now that backups are in?

I can try to work on putting that together for you, but for now just know that every basket has at least one bid on it!

We won’t be accepting any new baskets, but if you wanted to have your new muses send in bids, that would be all right!

Hey everyone,

Thanks so much for sending in your first choice bids! We have received them from nearly every member of the group, so we have decided to go ahead and open it up to backup bids a day early, so you all have more time to rank your choices.

Initially, we had told you guys we were planning on allowing three total choices per muse, but after seeing the number of duplicate bids we got in the first round, we’ve decided to increase that number to a top five total baskets. (But don’t feel like this means you have to send five for everyone; if your muse only likes one or two baskets, that’s totally fine!)

If you’ve already sent in your first choice bid, please submit your remaining bids to the @auradonstate-events blog by midnight EST on Thursday, February 11th, ranked 2-5. If you haven’t sent any bids yet, it’s not too late! You’re still welcome to send in your choices, ranked 1-5.

does that mean the baskets with only one bid so far are definitely going to the person who bid on it?

If they don’t receive any more bids between now and Thursday at midnight, then yes, they will go to the person who submitted a first choice bid on them!

If they do receive additional bids, though, then all bidders will be considered in our randomization process, even if the other bidders don’t rank the basket as their first choice.

since there are plenty of baskets with no bids, can we have sellers bid now?

No! If you do the math using the baskets with duplicate bids, we have enough bidders to cover all of the baskets included already.
