Of course, I've been seeing a lot of ATLA on my timeline (because the craziest thing happened?!?!?) and since I've only seen the news about the film and I'm currently brooding about animal companions, I wanted to draw Appa for some comfort. (A big Appa and a small "appa!" that the Gaang presumably find). I'd like to think flying bison are like mola mola (sunfish), in which they start out really small and then grow relatively very large.

The Future, Somewhere Far Away From Here

Some dejointed drawings and doodles of my own post-canon headcanons! Where humans send a ship to their neighbors in order to meet them, and make sure their sun didnt die in case Rocky wasn't successful, but end up finding a very much alive Ryland Grace, looking younger than he should and living his best life on Erid

I'm just fascinated by the idea of ​​humans and eridians collaborating and what that would look like. We are so advanced in some areas they lack, while they are so advanced in some areas where WE lack due to our respective biologies, the progress from both sides would be insane.

Of course, Eridians would also want to go to Earth, and is only fair they get a nice place to stay too. Maybe is then Grace decides to go back, to act as an ambassador for the Eridians, to see the place he worked so hard to keep alive. But i think eventually, after many years living on Earth (specially with the extended lifespan) he would want to go back, yeah the 2gs suck on his bones but he has more of a home on Erid than he ever did on Earth, anyway, there's people waiting for him there.

ok i haven’t read the book yet so take this with a grain of salt it’s entirely possible that there’s more clarification on eridian beauty standards/adrian’s appearance there BUT. I NEED TO SAY IT. a lot of “adrian is a baddie” designs seem to have 3 possible approaches to this concept (or combinations thereof):

the one thing that never seems to be taken into account is that eridians can essentially only “see” shapes, with both fives and sixes holding biological/cultural significance [from the document linked in this post]

the most logical conclusion to this is that eridian beauty standards probably focus on geometric consistency with patterns of 5 or 6. therefore adrian the baddie is built like a d12 (6+6 sides, each with 5 points). in this essay i will
