You know, I have to believe that the Jedi Order had some process for not only tracking a Padawan’s progress but, just like with most teaching or management jobs, also had a way to keep tabs on how a Padawan’s master was doing in the role, too. Like, surely the Jedi Order wanted to know which Jedi were knocking it out of the park as instructors, and which might need some extra help or whatever.
And I’m just…dying, because I’m picturing them dragging Anakin in there for a mid-year Kenobi Assessment. And Anakin’s like, a crabby 15 year old, and he’s totally still miffed about some stupid thing that he and Obi-Wan fought about the week before, and so at first he’s all sullen and “Whatever, Master Kenobi’s standards are ridiculously high and whatever he told you about that last mission we were on is a lie”, and so then the Council is all concerned – does Young Skywalker feel that Obi-Wan might need some additional help? Does he feel that his Master is not providing him with the guidance he needs? And OH SHIT, ANAKIN IS LIKE UM EXCUSE YOU OBI-WAN IS A GOD AMONG MEN OK, how DARE you insinuate that his Master is not perfect THIS IS AN OUTRAGE HE IS AS WISE AS MASTER YODA AND AS POWERFUL AS MASTER WINDU HE COULD FIGHT ALL OF YOU, and the whole Council is just like “…yikes, OK, we were literally just asking because you said that –” “I SAID NO SUCH THING. GOOD DAY.”
