Oh and I found out I’m coeliac in September. Guess the reintro of gluten back in February made sense now!
Breakfast of champions; roasted sweet potato, grilled tomato, grilled mushrooms, baked beans & fried egg
I must confess I'm struggling pretty damn hard to treat my body *right* now I'm back in the UK. Since we set sail last Tuesday I haven't had any time at home. I stayed at a friends house the day we got back; and have been staying at the in-laws since as the van is at the garage. We haven't been back to our actual home yet, but I'm confident that when I do I'll be able to get back into my routine. I feel uncomfortable and bloated, my stomach hurts. I seriously want to continue with the *cleaner* eating I started the year with, but being back home has really thrown me off kilter! I'm also hella overwhelmed with life which I know is another reason why my food habits have gone up the shitter as I always tend to turn to food as a punishment which is frustrating. However, there's some light! Today I cooked a good breakfast of eggs and spinach which was ace, and yesterday I did a vinyasa flow for half an hour which I'm really feeling today. I know that small changes end up with a big outcome, so I've just got to keep chipping away. I'll get there.
So far this year I have lost 10lbs, and I’m feeling so much better for it! . . . . .
I started the week off on the right foot! So Whole30 has been finished for almost a week and so far I’ve reintroduced rice and beans. Most are doing nicely, lentils are not. I had some gluten the other day and felt ok. Had some dairy and it felt like I’d eaten a brick. Everything is interesting. My bikini feels a lot comfier, the top half is almost too big 😂I still don’t know how much weight I’ve lost as I’ve been travelling this whole time and don’t carry scales with me but whether I’ve lost weight or not the bloat is definitely gone 🙌. . .<
Pre-menstrual headaches Anyone get these? I've currently got my usual pre-menstrual headache that feels like pure death: thumping headache with nausea and shivers. LOVING LIFE! Also discovered yesterday that my periods are linked with the full moon. Hence a lot of research into that, it's interesting. Had lentils which made me feel like shit. Pre-period, headache, painful boobs, stomach full of evil lentils...epic Wednesday 😩 Completed the Whole30, which is why I had lentils. Never again. But black beans and pb were fine. Cooked pizza for the bf tonight and didn't have any because I'm determined to do this reintroduction properly after completing the goddamn whole30 I'm not just going to throw that shit away. Please pray to the Goddess that my headache goes by the morning. Apparently I've got to help the bf clear a load of shrubs and burn them and I honestly can't be arsed if my heads going to be this messed up. Also don't have painkillers ffs. I promise I'm not always a moany mcmoanface it's just the full moon, ok?
Ooh just found an old photo that I thought would make a good before and after and WOW I can totally see a difference in my jowls 😆it’s funny when you don’t even notice it and then bam, there it is 😊. . .<
I'M SORRY I'VE BEEN SO QUIET! I just lost the passion to post. I didn't give up on Whole30, and as this post shows I completed it yesterday 💅🏼today I've reintroduced legumes, so peanut butter for breakfast and black beans at lunch. I feel FINE! Obviously my stomach is a little woah because I've not had these for a month, but I feel good. I'm following the 10 day reintro (but not doing dairy) so I'll be compliant for the next two days to see how I feel before reintroducing gluten free grains. I'm far too excited for Rice!! IT'S DAY 27 HOW'D THAT HAPPEN?! Today's lunch was to die for: bed of rocket, 2 fried eggs in coconut oil, fried aubergine, wilted spinach and a whole load of seasoning. 😍
This breakfast was BOMB! Whole30 D26 M2: hash brown, scrambled egg, ago, mushrooms & onions and grilled toms. Perfect 👌

Let's bullet: - I've got my hands on some avocados, hence they feature in almost every meal right now - I've kind of broken a Whole30 rule and made pancakes out of cassava flour. Whilst all the ingredients are complaint, the end product is not. I don't actually care because it's day TWENTY SEVEN and I wanted something different. It was also absofuckinglutely amazing. Like hands down, cassava flour is the bomb - Borrowed the boyfriends birkenstocks, have now been looking them up online as I obviously need them. They suit my feet really well, yes? - Today would have been my Dads 51st birthday, so here's a throwback of an amazing family holiday to India back in the 90s ✨ - I leave for the UK in just over a week. I'm excited and scared. It's going to be cold. I'll be back on the boat. I'll get my cat back!!!!! I'll see my family and friends! Ok so not too bad, but still, it won't be warm 😕 - Anybody got any good dystopian book recommendations? Just thought I'd throw that in at the end as I need to be absorbed in a BOOK.

Loving the sunshine today 😍😎so far I've had a super productive day, and I'm still in shock that it's already day 23 on the Whole30! We made a gate for our entry into the land which is exciting and I'm currently making some toast potatoes to go with salad and a nut roast for lunch! Also had a major NSV: a dress I haven't worn since summer (which is skintight) now fits a lot more comfortably - without Spanx - and is even LOOSE in some places. Hell yes!! Hope everyone else is having an awesome day ✌️️
