being so staunchly anti generative ai while everyone around you is "i used chatgpt" and "i asked grok" and google search is useless and every company is implementing ai and every single celeb is taking ai money and partnering with ai is like... it's so jarring. why can't you see the harm like i can? why are you so lazy? why are we making society this stupid? can we please stop? it's killing people does that not matter to you?
"we had ai-"
"i asked chat gpt-"
it really is crazy how quickly people were willing to just let chatgpt do everything for them. i have never even tried it. brother i don't even know if it's just a website you go to or what. i do not know where chatgpt actually lives, because i can decide my own grocery list.
no sentence fills me with utter loathing so much as "i asked chatgpt"
this is an endorsement
so much of the horror genre is informed by the metaphor of queer/transness as monstrousness. especially emphasizing the amount of horror that depends on the audience's repulsion at seeing a human body changing into a new, other body. I Saw the TV Glow is about the horror of NOT transitioning. the horror of static. the horror of looking into yourself and being terrified of what you see. the horror of seeing who you are and choosing to do nothing about it. the horror of looking away. and by god is it terrifying.
Bonus: If I buy a book I get to keep it! The publisher can't turn up at my house at random and confiscate all the books I bought.
You can only reblog this on the 3st of January
the 3st huh?
the 3st.
The Thirst.
The Muppets Christmas Carol works entirety and solely because Caine does everything 100% straight. The story must have Scrooge taking everything that happens seriously and realistically. There is no hamming things up by actors, human puppet.
Most of the humorous moments comes from either the narration (which is outside the story) or from characters having in-story humerous moments - the characters find them amusing.
There's a couple of examples ("our assets are frozen") which are funny to the audience, but again, they are played straight.

Today I saw a leaf that looked like a frog and I was like haha nice and then it hopped because it WAS a frog and I started crying bc life is really full of everyday miracles including but not limited to experiencing frogs
you got camouflaged dude. If you were frog prey...... hoooo boy
we need to make using chatgpt embarrassing bc sorry it really is. what do you mean you can’t write an email
