when you’re a gay lion and you accidentally tried to introduce your lesbian lioness friend to one of her own exes at a gay bar and she goes into the bathroom and bitches you out for not being able to tell her endlessly rotating cast of girlfriends apart which isn’t really fair because first of all they all keep dyeing their hair different colors and second of all she keeps getting back together with different ones at different times and meanwhile you’ve been “single” for like 8 months but are spending a lot of time with one specific guy who works at your old co-op and were going to excitedly tell her about it tonight but now you’ve ruined the whole subject of dating by trying to introduce her to her own ex at a gay bar (which is a watering hole. because you’re lions.)

Pretty much, yeah.

And for those who don't know, the creator of El Tigre and The Book of Life is now making an AI generated show. Like, fully AI generated through a deal with Amazon/MGM. And it looks like this:

And this is the worst fucking thing I've ever seen. Not only because of how garbled this single screenshot is with its backgrounds and muted, ugly colors, with too much going on in just a single frame alone.

It's the worst thing I've ever seen because it is showing absolute COWARDICE. In the wake of studios and techbros trying so desperately to erase the hard work of real humans, we have a man who made really great art say, "Fuck it, I'll do it too" for the sake of profit. And I get it, he's scared of how bad the industry looks right now. That's FINE enough, but bending ass backwards to allow a studio to profit off of this--

--CRAP is unacceptable. It shows signs of acceptance. Like, we shouldn't bother fighting it because it's here to stay. And if a creator like HIM should give up, then ALL creators should too.

It is heartbreaking. And I hate, hate, HATE that this is something that is just...happening.

Do NOT watch his show--Do not watch ANY of the AI-generated shows that Amazon is putting out. Treat this like that Harry Potter show JK Rowling is making for some reason. Don't watch it, don't share ANY screenshots other than the one above, and don't even pirate it. Hell, I'd go so far as to say don't let your favorite pirating sites have this CRAP on them. Because NO ONE needs to see this giant load of stinking CRAP.
