Two logic-driven people in a room. They might steal a puzzle from their toddler and do it themselves out of frustration kiss
Did a puzzle with my niece tonight. Learned something about myself. Projected it onto The Characters. Feels correct.

god israel's destruction of tyre is like especially depressing tbh like thats one of the oldest inhabited cities in the world. people have lived there since the bronze age. there is so, so so much history and world heritage there that's being blown up and destroyed forever because its existence doesn't fit israel's nationalist vision of history.
lots to say about israel's politicized and propagandized use of history and archaeology to further their narrative tbh. here's a good article about it.
Weaponizing antiquities is part of Israel's colonial legacy, says Rafi Greenberg, whose colleagues have largely remained silent about Gaza's
do not forget about reservations.
do not forget about the people on reservations.
when you are making and reading posts about dire predictions for quality of life, do not forget about reservations.
we already have issues accessing clean water. we already experience devastation from climate change. we are already going missing for our race. we are already being murdered for our culture.
it will only get worse.
it’s possible to live through. every single person indigenous to north america has a chance to live through this. i’m not trying to fear monger; i’m trying to remind you.
please do not forget about us when you assure people that “everything will be okay; people are living under far worse circumstances in other countries”.
people are living under far worse circumstances here. and it can get worse. and it will get worse. and we need you to remember that we’re here when it happens.
Because of mining, Navajo people living on the reservation have high levels of uranium in their environment, which translates to high levels of uranium in their bodies, and thus very high rates of certain types of cancer, such as blood cancers like leukemia.
Because of how hamstrung reservation law enforcement is and how the laws governing non-tribal people on reservations are constructed, in many reservations (such as the Cherokee land in western North Carolina) white men can (and do) go into the reservation and assault and rape the women with immunity. Reservation cops can't pursue them off the territory or extradict them back into the reservation, and because they're not enrolled they're not subject to Eastern Band laws. And since it happened on reservation land, colonizer law enforcement won't touch them.
And that's just two examples of the continuing genocide of Indigenous people of the United States.

okay i know i’m Back On My Bullshit but hear me out: found footage macbeth
so much of the plot of macbeth revolves around… the fact that we don’t get to watch the plot of macbeth. we never get to see macbeth and banquo win a battle; we never get to see macbeth kill the king; we don’t see his coronation; we don’t watch lady macbeth die. so much of macbeth is what’s told through the cracks - we just get the lead-up to and aftermath of events.
so: found footage macbeth. security videos and transcripts from dunsinane and inverness. interviews with castle guards, lady macbeth’s handmaidens, figures like ross and lennox. news articles about the deaths of duncan and macbeth… battle casualty counts… whatever lady m wrote on those papers during her sleepwalking scenes… young siward’s school records… i could go on

Hello my friends, I truly thank you for your great support.
But I urgently need your help.
My wife is pregnant and needs many vitamins.
I have also become in debt to many people because of the difficult economic situation.
I started a small project so I could rely on myself, but it will fail if you don’t help me. There are not enough food supplies available.
I take care of my elderly mother and father.
Please try to help me.
No matter how small your donation is, it will help me provide a decent life for my family.
Thanks to trans men donating their tissue, we know the exact number of nerve fibers in the clitoris. Read about it here.

Do you see these Ruska dance?
Or this famous Cále Dance, Carmen Amya?
Do you notice something about their dancing?
IT'S NOT BELLYDANCE!!!!
Bellydance is a mix of West Asian and Indian styles of dance and have nothing to do with Romani dance styles.
This:
is not rromani.
Now there's a whole can of worms with the history of Bellydance and it's relation to colonization, Orientalism, and appropriation that I am not qualified to speak on. All I can say is that it is definitely not romani.
And on this, the dance in Disney's Hunchback is neither Romani nor Bellydance, but an italian Tarantella.

did you know cancer is the leading cause of death among native american people? Here's a link to donate to the American Indian Cancer Foundation
a comprehensive source on uranium contamination on native lands
important addition + point: it's the process of mining itself, leftover waste from drilling, and the abandoned opened mines that leech radioactive particles into the air and water. the problems with nuclear waste after it's gone through reactors is minimized as long as it's stored safely. but the mines themselves cannot be relocated. they're basically open wounds that will continue to affect native people unless there is actual remediation & cleanup of those sites.
