Story Directory:
I write for Devil May Cry, Batman/DC Comics, X-Men, Chuck, Yu Yu Hakusho, Metal Gear Solid, Star Wars, Percy Jackson, and Hunter x Hunter. My stories are mostly gen family focused fic, but there’s some slow burn slash/romance, canon exploration, crossovers, and the occasional genderbend character exploration fic as well. See below for exact fic descriptions:
Currently being updated:
Updated Semi-Frequently:
Speak of the Devil - Devil May Cry/DC Comics Xover. After Vergil and Jason Todd meet at a book club, Vergil, Nero, and Nico are drawn into a quest to find Batman's body after its lost to the time stream.
All Ye Whom Love or Fortune Hath Betray’d - Devil May Cry. After Dante kills Nelo Angelo on Mallet Island, Vergil’s ghost is stuck haunting a young Nero on Fortuna.
Our Solemn Hour - Devil May Cry. Nero figures out that Dante is his uncle much earlier. Things change. Canon Divergence from Devil May Cry 5, and also lots of awkward Vergil and Nero father/son interaction and an original villain.
Moonlight Rendevous - Chuck/White Collar/Batman/(Supernatural.) Bryce and Chuck at Stanford and all the drama around Chuck's expulsion but a. Bryce has a sexuality crisis and b. Bryce is Dick Grayson under deep cover. Dick is Bryce and Neal, blackmailed into joining the CIA. Sam Winchester shows up as a TA at Stanford (because the timeline matches up.) Future installations will include fusions with Alex Rider, and an actual Supernatural crossover.
Batman Beyond: Days of Future Past - Batman Beyond, Under the Red Hood. Terry gets sent back in time to when the Red Hood started his reign of terror on Gotham's Underworld. Knowing what the Joker would do to Tim Drake in the future, Terry teams up with the Red Hood. Takes place in the DC-Jay-U, which is the DCAU but a. Jason is Robin before Tim and b. Tim has his comic canon backstory.
Of Land and Sea - Percy Jackson/Aquaman. In which Arthur Curry sort of becomes Percy Jackson's mentor figure, accidental babysitter, and cool older brother. Oh, and Percy is sort of Atlantis's version of Jesus, but that's another story.
Vicarious - Metal Gear Solid. After the events of MGS2, Emma Emmerich (who lives because I say so,) and Raiden realize that while they can’t escape their pasts, they can change their futures. And if theirs are intertwined for at least the next while, then all the better, right?
One Step Behind - Metal Gear Solid. Emma’s mother comes to visit her out of the blue. Raiden and Emma deal with the fallout. Raidemma. Almost finished.
No One Can Stand Without a Spine - Metal Gear Solid. If Halle Emmerich was in an anime, she’d be one of the side characters sitting in the back of the classroom, hidden in the shadows. Not anyone particularly noticeable.
One Shots:
Clothes Shopping - Hunter X Hunter. One-shot. Killua and Gon friendship, set during the Heaven's arena arc.
Birthdays in the Life of an Assassin - Hunter X Hunter. One-shot. Killua has never had a normal birthday, until meeting Gon. Killua and Gon friendship, set during the Heaven's arena arc.
This House is Not a Home (Maybe I’m Better Off Alone) - Teen Titans. Joe “Jericho” Wilson reminisces.
The Thief and the Moon - Yu Yu Hakusho. In which Kurama was reborn into a female body, instead of a male one. Trans male!Kurama.
See the Light - DC Comics. Billy Batson wonders about his sister, and with some help, finally finds her. Comics!Shazam.
Stardust(In You and In Me) - DC Comics/Percy Jackson crossover. Thalia Grace returns to Gotham to visit an old friend. Or, rather, his grave. (Or, the one where Thalia has another brother named Jason, and Jason has a better Thalia in his life than Talia al Ghul.).
Memories - X-Men Movieverse. How did Logan know of Peter Maximoff's existence in DOFP?
Gangster's Paradise - Batman. In which the Joker takes some inspiration from Tokyo Ghoul while torturing Jason. Or Death in the Family but with "What's 1000-7?" instead of "What's better? Forehand or Backhand?"
The Shadow - Batman. One shot. A short, introspective piece about the duality between Bruce Wayne and Batman. Heavily influenced by Batman Begins.
Kind and Justified - Batman, Nightwing. In which Dick Grayson tries out the tennis ball thing from Arrow, has a fight with Bruce, and gets some very good advice. Talon!Dick Grayson.
Holy Mountains - Batman. One-shot. In which Jason relearns patience, despite never properly learning it beforehand.
Trials - Star Wars/Star Wars Rebels. After the Battle of Endor, Luke tells his friends a story about family, curiosity, and bravery. And breaking out of prison, of course. (Featuring Ezra from Star Wars Rebels)
Impossible Year - Star Wars Rebels. Ahsoka survives Malachor and reunites with Obi-Wan during Twin Suns.
The Smartest Cookie in the Box - X-Men Movies/Young Justice. A crack crossover in which Peter Maximoff and Dick Grayson bond over crapping all over the English Language.
Hunter’s Moon - DMC/Batman Xover. Vergil and Jason Todd kick demon ass, take names, and get sushi. Oh, and run into Nero and Nico, but that’s another story.
Friendly Neighborhood Pizza DILF? - Devil May Cry. A thirst tweet somehow catapults Dante into Redgrave City’s social media spotlight.
Dark Things - Metal Gear Solid. Emma checks up on Raiden after he has a nightmare. Then Raiden kisses her, and things kind of escalate from there. Raidemma, NSFW.
Make You Mine - Metal Gear Solid. Raiden shows Emma just how much he wants her. Raidemma, NSFW.
Fic Graveyard
Discontinued:
Batman Beyond: Evolution - The Dark Knight Returns (Frank Miller), Batman Beyond. In which Matt McGinnis and Carrie Kelley team up to make Robin Beyond a reality.
Hellraiser - Devil May Cry/Yu Yu Hakusho. Vergil, at Arkham's behest, ends up in the middle of Sensui's plot to open the barrier between worlds.
Dear Mr. Thomas - Batman/Batman Beyond. Duke Thomas is Terry McGinnis’s old youth counselor from Juvie, and Terry, who’s sorta going through it at the moment, sends him emails asking for advice occasionally. Epistolary. I write Terry, theycallme_ook writes Duke.
Uprising - Star Wars/Star Wars: Rebels. A rewrite of The Promise (see below).
Sorcerers of Death's Construction - X-Men (Movies). After the events of Days of Future Past, Peter Maximoff has a lot on his plate, thank you very much. That is, until the new kids transfer into his school. Then things get better - and they get worse. Featuring some of the characters from later movies and X-Men Evolution (Avalanche, Blob, Toad.) Takes place in the 70's.
The Promise - Star Wars/Star Wars: Rebels. After the tragic deaths of his guardians and then his Jedi teacher, a teenaged Luke Skywalker sets out upon a journey to discover himself and define his purpose in the galaxy. Takes places during Star Wars Rebels. A Luke joins the Ghost Crew fic. Was being rewritten (see above)
Team Robin vs the Museum Heist of DOOM! - Batman Beyond/The Dark Knight Returns (Miller) /Gotham Academy. Carrie Kelley, Matt McGinnis, and an older Maps Mizoguchi team up to make Robin a reality. And save Terry from a bad situation. That too. May be revived, idk.
Where the Lost are the Heroes and the Thieves are Left to Drown - Star Wars/Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Multi-chapter. In which Anakin Skywalker was never found on Tatooine, and Darth Vader wreaks havoc upon the Republic. Set during the Clone Wars TV series.
Justice is Always Blind - Star Wars. Basically the story of Darth Vader, but instead of cutting all of Vader's limbs off and leaving him to burn in the fires of Mustafar, Obi-Wan blinds him instead. Takes place in between the Prequels and the Original Trilogy.
Crimson - DC Comics, Shazam movie. The Red Hood and Shazam work to stop a criminal. Movie!Shazam.
The Champion - DC Comics/Percy Jackson crossover. In which Shazam gets caught up with Camp Half-Blood right as Gaea is about to attack. Movie!Shazam
The Loner - Batman, Nightwing. The life and adventures of a Talon who used to be known as Dick Grayson, as he navigates emotions, the perks of being an undead assassin, and the desire to be something more. New 52 inspired, may mash up that and Pre-Crisis canon.
Star X Light X Star X Bright - Hunter X Hunter/ Star Wars crossover. On permanent hiatus.
Orphaned because I didn’t really like them:
Breathe - Batman. An interview with the Fem!Robins.
Dalya - Batman. Dalya al Ghul has her life turned upside down when she learns of her grandfather's plans for her. So, she goes to her estranged father for help. fem!Damian Wayne, contentious themes like Deathstroke being a canon-typical p*do. Fem!Robins.
Ghost Stories - Yu Yu Hakusho. Short stories about Yu Yu Hakusho. AU or in canon. FFN Only, orphaned on Ao3. Chapters:
1. Dark!Yukina AU. Introspection
2. Kuwabara wonders about Hiei and argues with Yusuke. Just an excuse to write Yusuke and Kuwabara banter.
3. In which Koenma forces Hiei to go undercover at a school. Part one. Crack-ish.
Bitter Tastes, Warm Hearts - Yu Yu Hakusho. In which Kurama tries to get Hiei drunk, but with a bit of a twist. Kurama and Hiei friendship, but you can interpret it however you want. Set around the Dark Tournament arc. FFN only, orphaned on Ao3.
Rise (Rise and Revolution) - Batman Beyond/Batman. Terry finds out about the other Batkids and gets curious.
Iron - Teen Titans/Batman/Arrowverse - me making Robin a reality in the Arrowverse. Including copious amounts of banter between Dick, Wally, and Roy, and the Arrow-Bat rivalry.
It Has Begun - Star Wars/Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Multi-Chapter. Rewrite of Where the Lost are the Heroes and the Thieves are Left to Drown. FFN only.
Demon’s are a Girls Best Friend - Devil May Cry. A night of passion between Nero’s Mom and Vergil right before everything goes wrong.
Devolution - Metal Gear Solid/X-Men Xover. In which Otacon is a mutant Solid Snake is a super-soldier. It’s a match made in Heaven. (Or maybe Hell, because Hal’s ashamed of his powers and Dave is afraid of his.)
canon is what happens in the text. e.g. merlin tries to poison morgana
a headcanon is a fact that you have personally made up as an elaboration of canon. it is your invention. e.g. i think morgana and gwen had a teenage lesbian situationship before the events of canon. or, i think modern morgana would love evanesence.
an interpretation is how one reads the existing text. it is not an invented fact nor is it a headcanon, it is a reading. e.g. i think merlin tries to poison morgana out of misplaced self-hatred. or, i think that one line was delivered with suppressed malice and shows a nuanced relationship.
fanon is the general fandom’s accepted headcanons and interpretations that elaborate or recontextualize canon. e.g. merlin is a badass waif and morgana is a bitch.
these are all different words with different meanings.
Also, for an interpretation to be valid it needs to be based on the text. It cannot just be a vibe. One can disagree on readings of the text, but if someone comes with quotes and/or historical context and you just have vibes, then sorry, your interpretation is inferior and may in fact just be a headcanon.
damn i wish u guys could read this fic i haven't written and this fic i haven't finished writing and this fic i'm putting off outlining and this fic i outlined but haven't started and this fic i'll never write and this other fic i haven't written and this fic that exists only in vague impressions in my head that fall apart every time i try to commit them to the page and th
What helped me write trauma better is remembering that the nervous system learns predictions. If danger used to come after quiet, calm can feel threatening. If kindness used to come with a price, kindness can feel suspicious. So healing is not just “they know they’re safe now.” Healing is the slow, annoying, deeply unfair process of teaching the body that the old prediction is not always the present truth.
I like to think that AO3 and fanfiction are a bastion against dead internet theory. Sure, there's the AI and the bots, but at its heart fandom is still a community of passionate people going "LOOK AT WHAT I MADE" and having people go "THAT'S SO COOL" right back.
So yeah. You wanna beat the bots? Make things. Comment. The internet's not dead as long as you're still here making noise.
The “oh I could definitely write this fanfic in under 5000 words and it really wouldn’t take me that long” voice in your head is actually the devil speaking
