okay so we all know that the goldeneyes have so far been practically unscathed by the expansion FOR WHICH I AM VERY GRATEFUL but with the recent Torrent news I am starting to get a liiiiittle stressed out y'all
I might be a newer hockey fan, but from what I've picked up, I kinda get the feeling that maybe your professional hockey team should probably.... have a head coach? maybe?
i miss hockey can we have hockey again this stuff is scary i dont like contracts can we just go back to sticks flying and women shoving each other
"I’m not even Russian, but people don’t know that." An interview with Kadirova—the first Tatar woman in the PWHL.
The interview is in Russian, but I think it should be easy enough to read using a translator.
i think more people should know that cj jackson has had not one, but two post-collegiate sports careers (baseball and hockey) - at one point literally wrapping up a season with the toronto six (hockey) and going immediately to training camp for team nova scotia baseball.
truly lesbians can do anything lmao
Ok so phase 2 is officially over (I think?) and the goldeneyes lost nobody. I’m pretty sure it was just a perfect storm of their most valuable unprotected players being not considered good enough targets to offer an EFO to (which would force them to leave) and then desirable players having a reason to prefer to stay in Vancouver or had uncertain futures in the pwhl
- Claire Thompson: the most likely EFO target but we are not even sure if she is going to be in the league next year or if she is, how many years she will stick around before returning to med school
-Jenn Gardiner: from Vancouver and has open talked about wanting to stay in Vancouver plus not a high up efo target
- Hannah Miller, Nina Jobst-Smith signed players from Vancouver who probably want to stay in Vancouver
-Ashton Bell: Vancouver’s capitan who is dating Nina. Probably wants to stay in Vancouver
That being said players I’m surprised did not get signed by expansion teams are: Soupy, Tereza Vanisova, Izzy Daniels, Gabby Rosenthal.
Im sure they will lose a bunch in phase 4 because I literally cannot see go the can’t with restrictions on how many players team can lose and how many other teams have already lost
San Jose still has one more to go before phase 2 is over, but it's rumored to be Maddi Wheeler (by Ian Kennedy, so large grain of salt)
I feel like our free agents are going to all melt away in phases 3+4 though, and the players under contract will be In Danger in phase 4 if the expansion teams can't get 10 players in time 😬
vancouver goldeneyes rn:
“go to hell” is basic. “i hope your favorite team recruits britta curl-salemme” is smart. it’s possible. it’s terrifying.
please... just finish it...
I love that people brought the Walter cup out with fucking white gloves on, and they announced how it's pure silver whatever, and then these dirtbag jocks immediately filled the thing with beer and did lesbian communion with it
Canadian lesbians winning but at what cost (canadian lesbians losing)
unfortunate that mtl goals come at the high high price of seeing gwyn philips sad
hiked up to the top of a mountain and opened youtube just in time for OTTAWA TO TIE IT UP LETS GO ⚡️⚡️⚡️
The concept of “too many women” is misogynistic and driven by a skewed perception on women’s participation in a given setting. In this essay I will-
We did it. We solved misogyny.
what a calm, composed play by Philips
Our playoff goalies everyone!
(I spent both way too much and way too little time on this ^^;;)
