We may not talk on the phone very often but when we do, my brother and I will not shut up. He called at 6:15pm. We hung up at 9:12pm. My ear hurts.

A cool breeze and a lake view make for a pleasant lunch hour.
ma'am, I'm going to place you on a brief hold while I look for a reaction image
I stopped at a roadside flower stand today. I was seduced by the sign that said peonies and when I pulled up you could see buckets that had really lovely, pale pink peonies. I walked in fully confident that is what I was going to bring home with me. However, as soon as I saw the mixed bouquets that were tucked away toward the back of the stand, I was hooked! That beautiful fuchsia peony! The white peony! The iris that was just like the ones my family had been admiring outside of a restaurant at lunch! Flowers deserve exclamation points!!!! Anyway, $20 cash in the honor system cash box and off home I went!
I'm working late and as I walked to the copier, I saw this little rainbow peeping through the slats of the blinds in one of the empty offices. What a little happy treat!!
This "Wooton Desk" was patented "Oct. 6, 1874," and made in Indianapolis, Indiana. This spectacular complete office opens to reveal an interior with birdseye or curly maple including cubbyholes or mailboxes in the doors and small drawers below, Solid walnut with raised burl panels and deep moldings.
This "Standard Grade" desk measures 46" wide when closed, 7' 7" wide when open, 75" tall, 30" deep and the desktop is 30" high.
William S. Wooten ended production of these desks in 1884. They were exhibited at the American Centennial Exhibition in Philadelphia in 1876, and owned by luminaries including President U. S. Grant, Queen Victoria, John D. Rockefeller and Joseph Pulitzer.

When you have to scramble at the last minute because the restaurant that your mom wants to eat at on Mother's Day is closed on Sundays. It was a local burger place and I was checking to make sure it wasn't cash only and just happened to notice it was closed on Sundays. So a couple of family phone calls and there is a new plan in place for tomorrow.
Look at this adorable, little cookie cake that came home from the grocery store with me. It may say Mom in it but it's totally for me.
