realizing that the online sphere and especially tumblr is NOT a good sample for ‘what everyone thinks’ is so, so, so good for your mental health and moral OCD. i swear to god. realizing that you don’t have to live your actual life like you’re being hunted for sport because the average tumblr user will hunt you for sport for wording something slightly weird or engaging in the wrong stuff or whatever is so incredible. like no you’re actually not fucked up and evil for not donating or for watching that one indie cartoon or questioning a post that everybody is agreeing with. that’s just tumblrs georg making you feel that way
Sometimes I’m looking for something online - often “how to” articles - and I want to filter for - like - a website that was clearly built in 2010 at the latest, which may or may not have been updated since then, but contains a vast wealth of information on one topic, painstakingly organized by an unknown legend in the field with decades’ worth of experience.
I don’t want a listicle with a nice stolen picture in a slideshow format written by a content aggregator that God forgot. I want hand-drawn diagrams by some genius professor who doesn’t understand SEO at all, but understands making stir-fries or raising stick insects better than anyone else on this earth. I don’t know what search settings to put into Google to get this.

His cabin wins the "cleanest cabin" and "most environmentally friendly" (lights off, water not dripping, minimum food waste) awards every single week. Everyone else has just stopped trying
Delivers both the "I start fires" and "fire safety" speeches with a completely deadpan expression, even through the shouting parts. The kids would also take it very seriously and miss the humor if the rest of the bros didn't spend the whole time heckling him

Activity block is about the history of the camp. Kids mostly sign up due to the fact that it's in an air conditioned building, but Gladio actually makes it really engaging
Prompto:
Listen, when your best friend is a camp director's kid and you really need a job and maybe a place to stay for a couple months, working as a dishwasher at a summer camp in the middle of nowhere two hours' drive north of the city sounds like a not super terrible plan? They feed you all but one meal per week, eat as much as you want, who cares if the pay's terrible
Turns out: Prompto loves working at camp
He's great at making kids not feel so self-conscious about camp silliness. Absolutely goes ham in campfire skits
I feel like he'd be great on the guitar
Did one summer as a dishwasher because he didn't have the self-confidence to go for anything more, realized that he could do horses chocobos, practically BEGGED for the chocobo counselor position
Super enthusiastic about being at camp 90% of the time

Took one look at the boring twine used to hang staff name tags, said "nah", and made a bunch of multicolored finger woven bands for them

His, Libertus, and Crowe's antics with the staff mail got packages banned for like two straight weeks, and they had to clean the sand out of the staff lounge
