the joy of starting new bg3 runs is remembering that there's a non zero percent chance astarion gets kidnapped by aliens, gets an unknown living thing shoved in his eye where its doing the cha cha, survives an alien ship crashlanding on a sunny beach in the middle of nowhere which he is miraculously surviving and his reaction is to get in a knife fight turned fist fight with literally the first person he sees. you will never convince me he does not love throwing hands. he's got fight or fawn down to an artform so well that he's lost room for confusion or whatever else alien abuduction interdimensional shipcrash survivors are supposed to be feeling. i say non zero chance because sometimes he is foiled by the dastardly perception check but this doesnt mean he is not planning to pounce in every universe. he does not care if the player character is a gnome or a 7 ft tall half orc. he doesn't even care if you're karlach and on fire. he has 99 problems, a knife and inexplicably. a bottle of grease

I don't have any visual WIPs (that I haven't already shared in the last few days), but I recently started collecting up some of my writing for BG3? I want to expand on what I've written to date and share them all as a series (which I've already started here for Spooky Deet).

Here's a bit of the snippet where Spooky Deet starts to realize that the more he bleeds the more powerful he feels. That certainly won't have negative consequences down the line.

Some things have been happening in recent months that made me feel silly for creating these elaborate stories for my OC (well... OCs, but that's a different can of worms) - I'd still post VP but keep the 'lore' behind it to Erin and myself.

I really don't want to do it anymore? It's difficult to start again, but autumn and now winter have been emotionally draining (and I admit it did feel a bit disheartening that a lot of people who I thought were amicable with me completely ignored my birthday even when I was upfront that it was, in fact, the day of my birth) but I guess I will be a bit silly here, again. Or, try to be at least.

So, to start slowly. Meet Val.

Valeria Tremaine

Tiefling, sorcerer, Hero of the Gate. Fell in love with a person who could not return those feelings in full without her completing ceremorphosis. She was left alone, with a mind that was not illithid but no longer mortal either.

She died, cold, alone. Got taken in by Jergal, Kelemvor. Became a holy servant - a glorified courier for the souls even. Got stuck in a loop of constantly reliving the Absolute Crisis for millennia.

Met a man, fell in love again. Destroyed that relationship too.

But, years, decades, centuries later? He found her. Brought her home.
