only reblogging because i'm pretty sure this is part of a blaise pascal quote:

I dont really care if you use the term bisexual or pansexual, but what i DO care about is that you understand that bisexuality at NO stage in history was EVER trans-exclusionary. Bisexuality has always included trans folks, and non-binary folks, and the entire spectrum of gender between male and female, as well as Definitively Gender and agender. It has ALWAYS meant "attraction to more than one gender." It has NEVER meant "attraction to cis men and women only."
So, pan, bi, use whichever label you will. But do NOT buy into the recent-years innacurate concept that bisexuality is attraction to cis men and women only, because thats literally never been the case.
@brassmama exactly.
^^ Like. Its literally right there in the middle of the flag.
And by contrast, this is what the pan flag colours mean:
So literally its just......
bi colours = "same gender, opposite gender, and other genders"
pan colours = "men, women, and nb people."
Those two things are...... not all that different to each other.
The purple has always, literally since the flag was created, meant "more genders."
And bisexuality included "more genders" in the definition before the bi flag was created, too. Thats why they included the purple bar in the first place, because it was reflective of bisexual people's attraction to and relationship with gender.
If you feel that pansexual suits you better, or you like the pan flag more, then thats fine -- but don't spread the misconception that bisexuality is remotely exclusionary. Because its literally never been.
don't believe the lies that other LGBTQ people are your enemy
Bloodborne is just Dark Souls but wet
Dark Souls is defined by its absence of anything resembling life. Miyazaki made a world that is almost utterly devoid of growth or flourishing at all. Everything is in the final stages of rot and decay, reduced to the cracking skeleton of what it once was. And not just metaphorically; the stone and grass and trees and just...everything about it are so terribly dry.
Bloodborne though? Bloodborne is fuckin dripping wet. The stone in central yharnam? Wet. The bosses? Wet. The weapons? Wet. The combat? Wet. The plot points? Wet. The way it's so utterly obsessed with liquid, fresh death, gore, and a city in the midst of ruin, rather than having died off long ago? Wet.
this is such a good fucking take on the difference of the games.
in a series that dwells upon the concept of 'living forever is a curse' - the way that's explained & shown to you is different every time.
it's a little hard to gauge how old the death is that you find in Demon's Souls, but it's widespread & clearly everyone knows about it. things are not what they once were. creatures are now monsters; people are now phantoms - everything is twisted w/ the curse of the fog.
but Dark Souls...! - Dark Souls is where things get c r u n c h y. Dark Souls is very clearly painting a picture of old, ancient, eternal death. everything has already died once or more; everyone is hollow or on their way there. everything is bleak & everything has been that way for a very, very long time. rolling through areas is always so 'crispy' - there is green grass & new life but nothing is fresh - everything has seen its prime many years ago, & now appears like a pressed flower, decayed & fragile, only a remnant of its former existence.
[i will exclude Dark Souls II simply because it deals w/ concepts of time travel, & has an incongruent & convoluted storyline in comparison to the point this post is trying to make.]
Dark Souls III returns to show the world of Dark Souls I but even further gone, even dryer & even more dead & twisted than before. lots of time has passed; things still exist but are losing their shape, their sense of purpose...there is no warmth or bright colors, no new life or foliage. things cannot & should not continue the way that they are; the ages must end. fire must cleanse.
...& then we have Bloodborne, where - as opposed to being launched into an unfamiliar, desperate world some arbitrary time in its history of death - you're birthed directly into the fray, unguided. blood caused the scourge, & blood is what defines the creature; you heal yourself w/ blood, & blood rain pours from the sky after successful boss encounters. characters joke about your existence being trivial as they hide indoors having parties. there is fear in the hearts of those that want to keep on living; there is grief in those that know enough to understand nothing can return to how it once was...
this is a world trying, desperately, to hold on & keep living. you, a newlywed hunter on honeymoon w/ your preying grounds, are simply an interloper - the wolf interrupting the soirée.
& what else would your still-living, still-breathing, still-fresh prey be, when torn into w/ your many teeth, your bonesaws & your knives...
...other than bloody, gory, & wet.
This week is Aromantic Spectrum Awareness Week ! Or aro week for short
If you didn’t know, I’m aroace ✨
If you have any questions, I’ll gladly answer them !

First image: a drawing of a cartoon person with shoulder length straight brown hair and a dark green blush on their cheeks. They’re wearing a shirt with the aro flag colors (dark green, light green, white and black in that order) and gray pants. They are gesturing up to text. It reads “it’s aromantic spectrum awareness week! From Feb. 21st until Feb 28th” Background is light green
Second image: same cartoon person previously described, now in the left of the frame and has a shocked face with hands under their chin as they read the text. Text reads “What is it? Arospec people don’t experience romantic attraction or experience it differently. It’s a spectrum” Background is light green
Third image: same cartoon person is centered in panel and has a contented look on their face. Their hands are clasped in the middle of their chest. Text above their head reads “I’m aroace… *” Besides them on left is the text “Aro: I’m not romantically attracted” and the right reads “Ace: I’m not sexually attracted” below them is the text “ *and I’m also Pan-oriented! (Everybody is pretty I’m gay)” Background is light green
Fourth image: same cartoon person in the bottom left corner. They are looking up with an expression of awe, and their hands are still clapped over their chest. Text above them reads “… but there are a Lot of other experiences!” They are surrounded by pride flags labeled with the corresponding identity (demiromantic, quioromantic, recipromantic, greyromantic, cupioromantic, aroflux, lithromantic, and frayromantic). Background is light green

Nonbinary people can wear dresses and still be nonbinary. It doesn’t matter if they’re afab or amab, they’re still valid as a nonbinary person. As long as they’re comfortable, that’s all that matters ✨

Penumbra fan artists + writers:
We talk a lot about how it’s okay to identify as nonbinary, only to later find out that binary trans suits you best. Which is great!
But it’s also okay to identify as nonbinary and later find out that your agab suits you best.
You’re allowed to question, and you’re allowed to realize you’re cis. You aren’t a “trender” or faking. You were questioning and found the answer. That’s okay.
