Listen, I'm very sorry, but all tags/messages that ask for donations for people suffering disasters will be treated as spam and blocked, because I can't afford donating. At least not right now. I hope everything works out for y'all.

Not to complain, but whenever I pour my heart and soul into a piece, am overjoyed with the results, and excitedly show others, only to hear an "oh, cool," my ecstasy immediately drops (as it happened earlier today).

But anyway, may I present "The Tunnel of Escapism." Yep, I actually named it.

The purple fabric points to imagination. Then, the books come just after it, as a means for accessing the imaginary world. Then the tunnel, leading to the reading girl. What about the dragon? Is it green for a reason, and is it a coincidence that it's of a similar colour to the girl's dress? Actually, there is a reason! Do you know how, when you're reading (or after), you are vividly imagining yourself in place of a certain character? Living inside this universe in your head? The dragon shows how extreme our imaginary alter egos can be. So... don't mess with readers, I guess.

Tbh, though, it was originally just a concept art practice, as well as making new discoveries and conducting experiments in my program. I just really liked the sketch I once drew, and decided it needed colour.

This is a companion piece for this. Both scenes are from @tir-lavender 's chapter 154 of this HTTYD fanfic. The first piece depicts Sigrid better, but you can still see him in the background here!

When I was little, my obsession had been dinosaurs. Then it expanded to reptiles in general; including dragons. And I am proud to announce that it will never leave.

I've done countless drawings of dragons in the past few years, but this is the first time I've done it digitally, and with colours!

Having said that... this is actually fanart for @tir-lavender 's HTTYD fanfic. I absolutely love it; mostly because of the main character, Sigrid. Who is, coincedentally, depicted above. But I mean, come on; who doesn't like dragon shifters?!

Unfortunately, I don't have much Christmas art since I've been rather busy with other things, but I made this village/mountain landscape using snow spray yesterday. Thing is... I remember how once we saw that sticky spray stuff in a store, and thought "wow, cool!" without actually knowing what it was, and when we used it, we just kind of... sprayed the stuff over the whole window? And the effect — as you can probably imagine — was rather (who am I kidding, the word is very) underwhelming. But this time? Well, long story short, who knew I'd find my calling in becoming a graffiti artist. And as I'm wont to, I will likely never touch a spray can again, even though I enjoy it. Procrastination is a menace.

Also, I'm doubly happy with the outcome, because I made the stencils (from paper, genius me — it was all soaked and ripping by the time I was done). Without using reference photos (which I'm always giddy about if I succeed, because very often my very own creations look weird. But hey, practice makes perfect... ugh). Also, I love my palette knives. The little metal bendies once again saved my life. Enjoy reading my happy rambling, I've just successfully stolen a precious minute of your time😊.

Aaaaaand that's a wrap! I'm done with drawing the Fëanorians; at least in the same style and as companion pieces.

Here's Fëanor, on his way to commit the crime he's so infamous for. And I am so incredibly happy with my progress. Because, um, when you look at my art of Maedhros and the others, they all look incredibly... thin. So either advanced stick figures or disturbingly underfed elves... I will leave it to your imaginations.

Edit: Also, I just realised "Trouble" by Adam Jensen goes with this perfectly

Guys, my Feänor post has officially reached over 1,000 notes! I'm so so so excited! Thanks so much to everyone that spared a moment to either like, reblog or comment😉. Whenever I feel uninspired, I always look through all of your responses.

I started working on this yesterday evening, and though it started as an experiment, it became my favourite piece I've ever done. I've never been this happy with something I made! Well, there was a Fingolfin vs Morgoth painting and a realistic-looking dragon egg, but it's nice to feel this ecstatic again because of my creation.

I mixed traditional art with digital art. I took a detailed drawing from my sketchbook, and coloured it in my program.

Here is Varda creating a star.

And I finally drew a circlet! Yay!

FINALLY, after such a long time, it's finished! Not quite as dynamic as I was aiming for, but... I can finally cross it off my to-do list! (The painting process itself was fun; the dissatisfaction with how it was turning out was not).

Fun fact: the cape's there because the painting looked weird and awkward without it. Also, it provides a nice contrast. And breathes some life into this piece!

Another fun fact: this is the 4th attempt at transferring my vision for this scene onto a painting! The previous ones looked even more stiff and unnatural, so — even though I'm still not entirely satisfied with the result — you're looking upon the winner that made it to the end. The other drafts have already completed their jolly journey to my trash.

Yet another fun fact: it's fanart for @jumpywhumpywriter ! Some of your stories would fit right in among great books in bookshops.

This scene is the fight between the "hero", if he can be considered as such (he can't), and "villain" (to whom the same applies, to some extent) in an abandoned warehouse.

If it doesn't look like a warehouse... well, I've never painted one, abandoned or not, so there's your answer!

Okay, so I know I still have a long way to go when it comes to drawing people, but! Recently, I've been actively learning (as in, actually learning instead of daydreaming about becoming better) anatomy and drawing techniques, and I managed to draw a person that can actually, well... pass for an actual human. I find it's – ironically – a lot easier to do that with colours (ironically because I hate painting skin), but this is a small success I'm really proud of!

you, artist online. somebody has referenced you in conversation irl by your online handle and somebody else knew who you were talking about. somebody has kept up closely with your posts for a period of time like their morning paper. somebody found a music artist because of you, thinks of you when they hear them on the radio. somebody followed you years ago and remembers you randomly even though they can't find you. somebody has screenshotted and saved your posts and sent them in discord servers. somebody has made your drawings their lockscreen, added them to their favorites folder and looked at them when they're going through some shit, has sent them to their best friend and sparked conversation in private chats. your art in particular could be the source of a keen sense of nostalgia for someone. maybe they've even printed out your images using their home printer and taped them to their bedroom wall and they look at it every day and they never even told you. isn't that scary? isn't that awesome? remember this well.

submit to the mortifying ordeal of being known so that you may turn around and see the impact you leave and the light you cast on others.

And another folds practice! Tbh, this is probably the best one yet. I'm so proud of it.

It's been too long since I last drew dragons; namely, around a month. I've just reminded myself of how fun it is.

Sooo, it's been some time since I last posted something, but in my defence, I was ✨️busy✨️.

Also, I decided to take a break from digital painting and focus on actually practising more. Yesterday, I was doing a pose/fabric-folds spontaneous practice session, and long story short, somehow ended up with a Greek-statue-like person in my sketchbook.

WHY my drawings on tumblr are posted in such poor resolution is still beyond me... either way, here's Fingon the Valiant, High King of the Noldor. Precisely the moment he saw Gothmog coming. I tried to make him look both scared and determined, and I think I did a pretty good job with that; feel free to zoom in on the face. The hand could've been better, but overall... I FINALLY am almost completely satisfied with something I drew! Success!

Also, I forgot to add a circlet, but I think it looks better this way. And I didn't forget to add a helm; I just didn't. In fact, this was mostly done so that I could get rid of my irrational phobia of drawing - painting - faces and skin in general. At the moment, I think I came out victorious, but... we'll see.

I like to headacanon that the Noldor, Sindar, and Avari have different shaped ears!

For example:

Noldor ears are pointed and pointed more horizontal, while Sindar ears point more vertically. Avari ears are the same length as a humans but with a point, their shape have evolved to be less prominent as their culture and lifestyle is more dangerous, feral, and they are more prone to be ripped or damaged!

I can't draw for schnizz so if anyone wishes to draw or sketch the differences that would be soo cool!

You mean, like, kinda like this?

It was such a fun and peaceful afternoon. And we have a river nearby, which makes it all the more beautiful and special. It's fun and so different and refreshing to sit on a fallen log, surrounded by trees and nature sounds for a change, instead of in my room in front of an art tablet, knees under my chin, resembling Gollum with my incoherent mumbling and humming.

Also, it's really nice to have the opportunity of eating wild blueberries straight from the bush.
