To celebrate the Star Fox 64 remake, here’s my take on various designs for the main villain of the series, Andross.
The Ocarina of Time remake rumors were true, and with that, I have some things to say. I’m actually excited since this seems to be an ACTUAL remake, rather than a lazy port of the original. With that said, here are some things that I’m hoping for in this remake
1. Rework the entire Water Temple to make it less annoying, other Dungeons can get something to make them more refreshing or in some cases less as well, but if I had to pick only 1 Dungeon to get reworked, it’s the Water Temple
2. More secrets to find, this includes new locations of various heart pieces, and even new items that further upgrade your arsenal. This also extends to new bits of lore that fleshes out the story a little more and Easter eggs that reference other games, and yes this means locations like Goron City, Gerudo Fortress, Castle Town, Kokiri Village, and Zora’s Domain get expanded.
3. More music tracks to fit certain characters, specifically unique boss themes for villain characters like Phantom Ganon, and Twinrova.
4. Upgrades for bosses, specifically reworking Morpha completely, adding more attacks to bosses like Phantom Ganon, Twinrova, and especially making the final boss more intense (mainly give the final boss more methods of attack in all phases)
5. Add enemies from other games to add a little more to the combat, and especially give the Moblins a little more time to shine throughout the game
6. This is optional, but it would be cool if Ganondorf got peach fuzz growing on his chin to signal that his beard is growing in as a nod to how all other games give Ganondorf a beard. I even drew this to show what I think that would look like
What do you guys think of my ideas? If you want more clarification, I can tell you more in replies.
For Star Wars Day, I have made my own take on Emperor Sheev Palpatine. I would explain some of the artistic inspirations for my take on the character but I prefer saying it in an interaction with you guys more directly. So if you have input let me know and May the Fourth Be With You.
I may be primarily a Zelda fan, but I have to comment on this and there is technically still a chance that this isn’t true, but if it is, I will have lost all respect I had for Ian Flynn as a writer. Yes this is a Sonic related thing. Anyways here it is
Bringing back Starline is a mistake on multiple fronts
1. His death was perfect, so resurrecting him undermines that ending to his character. On top of being plain lazy writing since they couldn’t be bothered to create a new character or bring back someone else who isn’t confirmed dead
2. His death was framed to make it clear he was dead, only not showing the details because this is children’s media and kids don’t need to see bloody and mangled corpses that were crushed to paste. Heck Belle SAW it happen and there was no way he could have dodged out of the way, especially since his Tri-Core expired. Yet now that he’s most likely back, guess what, death is now pretty much a non factor since Starline is physically just an ordinary Mobian yet he survived being crushed, so all the main heroes don’t need to worry about being crushed since it won’t kill them if an ordinary Mobian survived.
3. If he’s Infinite’s benefactor, it’s officially character assassination since the Starline we know would have never given even one of the Astroscopic Lenses to Infinite since
A. Infinite is a loose cannon, so Starline would know better than to give Infinite something he could use to cause damage that he couldn’t manage
B. He’d be stupid to give the lenses to Infinite if he could just use their power himself, especially since he would have had access to one so he could have used them to steal the lenses himself rather than using the Tri-Core.
So yeah at this point, if Starline is back, Ian Flynn is officially prioritizing fan service over good writing, and because of that, I will likely have lost all respect for him as a writer.
Time for another round of Revealing the Rage Bait, and yes this is another one involving Ganondorf. And this time I’m covering the lie that the community spreads to try and make it seem like Ganondorf’s depictions are racist. This specific lie really makes me mad since
1. If Nintendo wanted to push a race agenda, then why are a majority of Gerudo characters portrayed in the Zelda series morally positive or at least neutral?
2. If it was a gender or sex thing, then why are there multiple male characters in the series that are morally good. Plus, there are 2 female Gerudo characters that are evil as well, the Twinrova sisters.
3. If Ganondorf’s depiction specifically was racist, then why did the writers for Ocarina of Time specifically want to make Ganondorf a noble figure but ran out of time only for it to be reincorporated in Wind Waker, and in TOTK he was specifically designed to be cool?
So yeah, plus any remotely potentially racist designs for Ganondorf are CUT CONTENT. So yeah those who are saying that the depiction of Ganondorf or the Gerudo is racist is reading too deep into things at best, or actively rage baiting at worst and I’m sick of it either way.
Ya hey chad? Buddy? WTF?
I know I try to be a point of "Let's let people learn than simply call stupid" but this both grossly misrepresenting points and missing the points entirely.
So let's take this point by point shall we?
The very first depictions of the gerudo were as thieves. I think you missed that little bit of info when you glossing over the face that nabs unfortunately falls under stereotype of "The good one!" from a race.
The first half of that point doesn't even make sense. Also, no there isn't. Unless we are saying varen is gerudo the only specifically evil gerudo is twinrova.
Alright let's talk about rudolph valentino in the 1921 silent film the shiek shall we? The title character is a racist depiction of a middle eastern noble man who ends up assaulting the white female protagonist, but she ends up falling in love with him.
Why do i mention this? Ganondorf being noble DOESN'T MEAN HE ISNT BUILT UPON RACIST IDEALS
Orientalism doesn't just get erased because one design happens to be cool. That's not how it works. Throughout the games ganondorf is referred to as "The man from the desert"
Here's another bit of history, middle eastern men have been villainized because white men believe them to be a danger to the pure white woman that are so rightfully theirs. That's a factual part of human history. Cut content or not gan was designed by Japanese writers who can certainly use these tropes and stereotypes! The fact those even ended up on a sketch page is bad enough.
We aren't reading too deep into things; you just don't like the actual reality. Kinda funny how when people call attention to stereotypes that have hurt real people call it 'Reading too deep into things"
I've also been made aware you most likely have the wonderful bloobluebloo blocked. Probably because they have frequently pointed this out. Which is EXTREMLY TELLING. Kinda funny how ya love everything about ganondorf but can't actually love him without all the stereotypes.
There’s a couple bits of context that I would like to add.
1. When I referred to the morality of the Gerudo, I was referring to throughout the franchise as a whole since a majority of Gerudo characters are seen as heroes. Nabooru, Urbosa, Riju, Ardi, Sholani, Ronza, and Buliara to name the most noteworthy examples. So since a majority of the Gerudo in the franchise are seen as benevolent, it’s clear that any antagonistic attributes the Gerudo did have were circumstantial, for instance Ganondorf himself implied that the Gerudo being thieves was due to desperation, not just stealing because they were bad. And to add to this point the whole definition of racism is discrimination against an entire ethnic group or culture, not picking and choosing 1 or 2 bad people and the rest are either neutral or good. So saying that Nintendo’s depiction of the Gerudo is racist is still a lie.
2. Twinrova is technically two people since she consists of two people. Koume and Kotake. And no I don’t count Veran since she has enough differences that make me say she is not a Gerudo. Even if she is aligned with Twinrova to an extent and she’s definitely one of the most vile characters in the series. And also when I referred to the morally good male characters, I was referring to male characters overall in the franchise since Ganondorf is the only male Gerudo seen, and that’s mainly due to Nintendo being a bit lazy with them not introducing any other male Gerudo, not any racist agendas. That being said I will say that this is probably my weakest point, I’ll give you that.
3. My point is that when someone is depicted in a racist way, the racism angle is meant to denigrate them and make them look as bad as possible in multiple different ways from morally to intellectually, and all sorts of ways. Ganondorf is evil yes, but since he does have a few shreds of good, he isn’t all evil. Ganondorf is also shown to be intelligent and cunning. And since some of the writers at Nintendo wanted to explore Ganondorf’s complexities in both OOT and WW and they also wanted him to be a character who is cool as well, especially given all the times he’s seen aura farming, so because of all of that, clearly any racist connections made by those who claim that there is an agenda being pushed were unintentional. And while I do agree that if it’s unintentional it still deserves to be constructively criticized, even Nintendo themselves knew that using the cut designs would have been a bad idea which is why they were cut in the first place. And also Nintendo has actively explored bigotry before including at least 2 Zelda villains who are racist, those being Demise and Zant who actively look down on humanity.
So yeah, my point is that while I understand where some may be coming from (although others are definitely doing it for the sake of rage bait), I do not think Nintendo actively meant to have Ganondorf or the Gerudo in general be depicted in a racist way and that any racist connections made where unintended. Especially since Nintendo actually has explored bigotry before, including in the Zelda series.
Also if I did block him, it was because I prefer to filter out the toxicity and I prefer to be a bit more pragmatic in terms of media coverage, and if I’m being constantly bombarded with negativity over even things that can be disproven or at least mitigated to an extent by simply looking at the full context, it will lead to me thinking less of a fanbase. It’s why I hate the Mortal Kombat, and Smash Bros fanbases despite me liking both franchises.
Time for another round of Revealing the Rage Bait, and yes this is another one involving Ganondorf. And this time I’m covering the lie that the community spreads to try and make it seem like Ganondorf’s depictions are racist. This specific lie really makes me mad since

Monsters are a NATURAL and IMPORTANT part of Hyrule's ecosystem and in my heart Ganondorf feels close kinship with them and they with him. He can grant them more power through his Triforce/Secret Stone/Magic because he is Very Talented he did not create them out of thin air 😤
I genuinely think people forget that when Ganondorf isn't around or giving orders monsters in hyrule just kinda chill?
Where did the bublins come from?
Little fellas are pure and natural and ride off to get into shenagins after TP.
Botw and Totk has these guys setting up camps with other monsters and just cohabitated spaces and share resources.
Plus even in Zelda 1 there are monsters that aren’t interested in serving Ganon. I guess the ones that are hostile are just that loyal to him for one reason or another. Maybe fear, respect, genuine loyalty, or some combination of the three.
Some more artworks that I have done, including
Mephiles as the Black Arms Leader, as well as Mephiles if he had a Super form
Super Infinite
And the Sonic version of Ganondorf and Beast Ganon
Real talk, I don't get why people seem to think Ganondorf being the final boss of TP is like, a twist or shoe-horned into the story at Zant's expense. Zant talks about how he was only able to usurp Midna and invade Hyrule because of power granted to him by someone else pretty early on, and they don't even try to hide the fact that it was Ganondorf. There's plenty of foreshadowing building up to the midpoint reveal that Ganondorf was sent to the Twilight Realm after a botched execution and people thought he wasn't gonna be relevant to the rest of the story after that scene?
It really feels like something that was probably an opinion some famous internet critic gave and then a bunch of other people started parroting it as their own. Like, I even watched a let's play where one person was going in blind and their co-host already knew the story and the one who knew was making snitty remarks about it being lame that they cast Zant aside and "forced" Ganondorf into the story and the other person very earnestly responded that they like Ganondorf and are glad they get to have more of him.
Like, say you got your way and Ganondorf wasn't the final boss of TP. How does that make TP better? Did you want the game to be shorter? Did you want less content? Do you actually not like the final dungeon or final boss sequence and wish they'd been cut? Or do you like those parts of the game just fine, you just wish that somehow it was all more of Zant at the end instead of Ganondorf? Would that have added anything to the narrative? Did it actually feel like his story was concluded too early and we somehow missed out on further character development that would've made a more satisfying ending?
Would you have preferred Zant do the thing where the new villain defeats the old villain to show how much more powerful he is (because that trope is only ever met with universal acclaim). Or would you have preferred that Ganondorf be excised from the story entirely and Zant was the only villain and the story was completely straightforward with no surprises and no deeper plot to uncover about where Zant's power came from and nothing more to his character than being creepy and menacing?
Honestly, if anything Zant's the only one of Zelda's many villains who got Hijacked by Ganon where it actually felt like part of a character arc or a theme the story was trying to convey. I think excluding Vaati, pretty much every other antagonist this happens to was a minion of Ganon's whose motive the entire time was to resurrect or otherwise serve him, and they didn't really have any other personal ambitions or character development beyond that. With Zant, it really felt like they meant for his story to be a sort of parable or cautionary tale.
Like, they had the whole backstory about the Dark Interlopers starting a war, trying to claim more power than they were entitled to, and how that didn't end well for them. Then we learn that Zant actually could've been king but was rejected specifically because the Twilit people could tell he only wanted it for the prestige and his ambitions would have fucked them all over just like their ancestors. Then Zant is butthurt he didn't get what he thinks he's entitled to, and then along comes Ganondorf offering him the power he craves, which he then uses exactly the way his people feared he would. Then *shockingly* it turns out the guy who gave Zant all that power was just using him to serve his own agenda and once he had no further need of him he hung him out to dry. But then the same thing more or less happens to Ganondorf himself at the end. He thought he was entitled to power as well, and he really thought he was the shit while he had it. But in the end, he was abandoned by the Trifoce that had enabled him, and died to a 5 ft tall twunk.
Zant doesn't get "upstaged" by Ganondorf because they wanted to pad out the game or artificially raise the stakes by introducing a Man Behind the Man or shoe-horn in a popular character. What happens to Zant is the natural conclusion to a story about the perils of greed and ambition and how truly pathetic power-hungry tyrants really are deep down.

A redesign I made for the three takes I made for Infinite. One before he got the Phantom Ruby, the second when he has it, and the third is when he gains his new powers through those lenses. The main design difference is the cape I gave him for something extra.
With the return of Infinite in The Chaotix Casefiles, I decided to sketch him with his new black aura described in the audios, also removing the Phantom Ruby since he doesn’t have it anymore.
starting to hear more and more people say they "wouldn't know what to do without chatgpt", and in my head I tell them without chatgpt, they would probably be using their own brains as god intended

The Legend of Zelda is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, and Caleb Ricks has kicked off the festivities with a Ganondorf build tha
Looks like Ganondorf is getting not 1, but 2 Lego sets this year. Hey wait a minute, imagine if this also leads up to Ganondorf becoming playable in AOI as he should have been, as well as other bits of merchandise involving the Demon King, could this be The Year of Ganondorf.
Yk what since I didn’t do anything cool for the 40th anniversary (didn’t know it was happening lol), why do you like the Legend of Zelda/when did you get into it?
I saw Ocarina of Time casually at my mom’s friend’s house and I played around with it a little bit, I then got my own version of the game on the N64, and I got more and more invested in the series ever since.
This is my take on Ganondorf’s Castle to go along with my designs for Zelda and Link, I posted this for the Zelda 40th Anniversary, and there will likely be more for this franchise this year especially due to how significant the franchise is for me and this milestone for the Zelda series.
Text:
Long, long ago, before time ever was, Null drifted in the void of nothingness. This was a pleasant place for Null. The void needed only Null. All was well and in its right order. Until the goddesses came and created the world, stealing away Null's peaceful void. Null relentlessly tore at the fabric of the world, but the goddesses' servants always repaired it… Until now. Now Null can return things to how they were meant to be-back to nothingness. It is time—time to return all to the void. Back to the state in which Null prospers!
Null was such an amazing concept and nobody talks about them because they're all too busy masturbating to TOTK Ganondorf
While I do like Ganondorf more, I agree that Null deserves WAY more attention than it gets, it’s the biggest, most evil, and most influential baddie in the series, yet it doesn’t get any attention at all and Demise gets way more attention despite having less interesting lore.
If any of you ever wondered what Ganondorf would look like if he ever had the chance to regain the ability to change back from his blue moblin form, well I have my own idea, but what do the rest of you guys think?
