You know, transandrophobic arguments begin to make a lot more sense when you realise that these people view trans women as Inherently Different to cis women, and that they will Never Pass as such, thus being subjected to Eternal Torment; and that they view trans men as Inherently The Same to cis men, and that they will Always Pass as such, thus being subjected to Immediate And Eternal Privilege.
And by makes sense, I mean it shows an incredibly big transmisogynistic (and just transphobic in general) bias that these people have yet to unpack. Idk, I think positioning trans women as permanently "clockable" or whatever is a little... Not as progressive as you think... But maybe that's just me.
Reblogging from a fem perspective, and this is quite true. Because we are women, they hate us. They hold the same entrenched beliefs as other forms of misogyny, and they feel like our mere existence is an affront to cis womens' existence.
At the same time...
Because they think that transmasc people are men, they think that they have privilege over women in society. Which is not true, because those very same people are the ones that also brand trans men as women, and try and pull them down for living as men.
They either hate you because you're a woman, or they hate you because you hate women enough to hate men who often share the same experiences.
Solidarity is medicine. Love ya brethren, sistersouls, yondergenders, faunafolk, pluralpeeps and more ^^
Iris out.
as a trans girl, i think we should kill transandrophobes. they make me so angry. we should be protecting our brothers, not bullying them. this shit doesn't help anyone except for the people who want us divided.
as a trans guy, i think we should eliminate transmisogynists as well!! LOVE YOU TRANS SISTERRSS!! ๐๐ ๐ณ๏ธโโง๏ธ๐ณ๏ธโโง๏ธ๐ณ๏ธโโง๏ธ๐ณ๏ธโโง๏ธ๐ณ๏ธโโง๏ธ we should all love each other and be happy . DONT YOU THINK I FORGOT ABOUT YOU INTERSEX AND NONBINARY FOLK!!!!!! ๐๐๐๐
TME/TMA are probably some of the worst terms ive ever seen parts of the queer community adopt. Not because of their meaning, but the way they are used to divide transmascs and transfems while also generally disrespecting anyone outside the binary. Same for AMAB/AFAB. Almost all trans people are simply trying to be seen for their own specific struggles. We need to learn to understand others and allow ourselves to be understood, not make huge generalizations about entire parts of the queer community and argue over who has it "worse," because oppression can come in very specific forms that vary on an individual level. Especially with this discourse being primarily online, I think it is so important that we simply do not engage with people who aren't willing to see any other perspective.
Intersexism is people genuinely believe that AGAB/ASAB means "a [X] at birth" (ex: "a female at birth") that's. No. That's not what that means.
The way that AGAB/ASAB language has been so heavily bastardized and changed to now being honestly completely incoherent in 90% of contexts is so baffling to me. There is a difference between assigned gender, biological sex characteristics, a socially imposed gender/sex, and your gender and sexual identity, all of which can coincide or contradict with each other in nuanced, individual ways. You weren't a "female" at birth, you were assigned that sexual label in order to categorize you into a gender that will be imposed onto you, whether that's consistent or inconsistent.
The fact that this was said by an intersex creator is baffling.
Edit: they made a Tiktok saying transfem's experience more oppression than transmascs yeah they're cooked.
Let intersex people keep our fucking language to ourselves.
Let people who had their gender forced at birth keep their language to themselves.
She begs you to use SIB/SIG (Socially Imposed Boy/Girl) for how one was raised from birth.

it's usually morally correct to make fun of the usa but whenever i hear british people do it it feels kinda tone deaf. idk if we have the high ground here guys. its like your mom making fun of your mental illness like ma'am where do you think i got it from.
if you ONLY associate "men" or "masculinity" with negative stuff, then youre not gonna be a good ally to trans masc people. while some transmascs can experience gender euphoria from being associated with the negative parts of masculinity, its not really the best way to give them that. "wow, youre really a man cause <negative male stereotype>" might be funny and stuff, but imagine telling a transfem "wow, youre really a woman cause <negative female stereotype>". while it could give someone gender euphoria but its still a product of bigotry.
if you want to be a better ally to trans men and transmascs, you should probably try to appreciate good qualities of men and masculine people in general.
if a trans man needs to hide the fact that he's trans in order to access any form of male privilege, i simply do not believe that is real privilege. i will, and never will, accept that the closet is a privilege. any queer person can go into the closet to access "privilege," and it's dumb when you all try to argue that bs too. are you not tired of making the exact same arguments about recycled queer groups every 5-10 years? nothing is ever new except the New Queer Enemy really IS privileged and evil this time, we promise!

Do not let their memories die. Do not let them fade away. Say their names.
For some reason, any time I see people who say that they "hate men" almost always turns out that their hatred only impacts already marginalized man. Like, they will playfully say that they hate white cis guys, sure. But they won't bully them, they probably won't send them death threats. Idk it's irks me, just say you're bigoted but only in one direction .
"i hate men" oh that's cool. so you're upset at how the patriarchal structures of modern societies define "the Correct Gender" to be one single group, that group being a special class of people that not only must be born with very specific sex characteristics, a certain skin tone, a certain sexuality, and no disabilities of any kind, but also must maintain a certain gender and expectations that surround that gender, must never become disabled, must never belong to a wide community, and must be abusive towards the people around them? and that when many people do not or cannot fall into this group, they are outcast and deemed unworthy, with each undesirable trait by the patriarchal society being a negative social "point" against them? and how in order to break down this oppressive structure, those oppressed by it must fight to claim their rightful place as equals?
oh? no? you just think black men are violent perpetrators of abuse and trans men are whiny fake transes who should shut up and know their place? ok
Knowing that trans women of color started the movement in the united states and were literally immediately erased and excluded from what they started is the most deeply jading knowledge.
It is the original sin of the so-called queer community and it damns it from the cradle.
Without Stonewall, without the efforts of Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera, the LGBTQ Community wouldnโt be where it is today. Donโt forget the roots, donโt forget the catalyst.
and then TERFs wanna be like, โhmm well the LGBT community existed before Stonewall!โ
but likeโฆBecky, of course LGBTQ+ people existed before Stonewall. Weโve all existed since the beginning of time. But the movement got a shock to its senses, a jump-start, a rocket-into-space when that glass shattered via Marsha P. Johnson, and when Sylvia Rivera was up on-stage protesting guess who was on the sidelines heckling her?
The same fuckers who wonโt ever reblog or acknowledge this
My apologies to the original poster as I photo captured this post to add to the thread-I reposted this last year for pride and expect to repost it every year I have left-itโs our history people.
Marsha P. Johnson allegedly died of suicide in 1992, and her death was never investigated. Even I, a mere prole, could catch theย โshe was murderedโ vibes from the circumstances surrounding the discovery of her body.
Without a trans black woman, LGBT+ rights would not exist. Never forget. Neverย โpay it no mindโ.
if youโve ever associated queerness with Israel because of your illogical negative stance towards lgbtq+ people then youโre an idiot and you should go fuck yourself <3
queer Palestinians exist and theyโre getting murdered by Israel
Lebanese queers exist and theyโre getting murdered by Israel
queerness exists everywhere and itโs not fucking invented by Israel. If you genuinely think it is, please go to Google and do some research, your uneducated ignorant ass could really use it!
