Ever since Iâve started looking at lifting blogs, Iâve noticed that people make a lot of broad generalizations about a storeâs security. Like, theyâll say that this store NEVER EVER checks their cameras and that store has inattentive employees. But that wonât be the same for every location. Some walmarts have real hard-asses for LP, but mine has hardly any.
My point is, every store location will be in some way different from the others. What you see on tumblr wonât be true for every single location, and you should take that into account when you lift.
Thatâs not to say any advice you see is invalid though!!

I've been working at Ulta for 5 years , I know the tricks! Some pointers- They tag all perfume with square rfids under the barcode sticker, but most expensive prestige shit has rectangular security tags on the sides of boxes that'll beep , especially urban/Smashbox/Lorac palettes and advanced skincare (Murad, dermalogica, etc) . However, we're literally told never to check a customer's bag - even if they beep. Just keep walking, or turn around with a confused face after u buy something small

Does anyone have tips for lifting pills? I need allergy medicine and multivitamins. Will they rattle too much?
My advice is donât do it. Stealing pills, even OTC stuff us pretty serious. If youâre going to do it anyways, find a grocery store with minimal cameras. I have one that has cameras on the medicine aisle only and the rest of the store is camera free. Iâm pretty sure most new bottles of pills have cotton balls so they donât rattle.

At my grocery store I put the pills under my purse so if I get caught I act like I forgot that they're there but I've never gotten caught lol
