Check out this transformation 😱 Brenda Nyce , sent me these results saying she had metal trim attached to her counters. Since, I've received questions on this...here ya go. She said she primed and painted right over the metal trim, then did an epoxy coat to seal. Swipe to see the before picture. I think she gave this kitchen a beautiful vintage style makeover. Those cabinets are unrecognizable, and I adore that backsplash! Thanks for watching my videos, Brenda, and sharing your experience with everyone. I've been practicing making different types of #pasta . Such an easy thing to make, so few ingredients, and so tasty when it's fresh.... yet it took me this long to give it a try. What have I been doing 🤦‍♀️. I made a crab stuffed ravioli the other night, and we had stuffed meatballs a different day , and shrimp on another... Hey Savage Squad!!! This is by far....THE BEST makeover I have done yet. As far as painting tables and countertops go, this is the one to watch. I wish I had tried this sooner and I am hoping to help those of you looking for an easy, affordable solution to ugly countertops or surfaces. I am literally going to redo my counters to look like this table. That was my very FIRST attempt using that technique, and I think its safe to say its pretty fail proof. Meet " Sketch ", the newest member of our family. He is a tiny little bob-tailed kitten, with the sweetest snuggles. Legend is still warming up to a new male in his territory, but he seems curious. I think within a few days, these two will be the best of friends. We were looking for a companion for our sweet Legend, and my sister came to the rescue. She drive him all the way down from another state. It was a surprise to the kids, and they got to pick out his name. I loooove the name Sketch, and it's quite appropriate since I am always sketching new projects. Today's supper, aka...late lunch/pre dinner 😜, because we will be hungry again in a few hours lol. But today was a very busy day. Pressure-washing the #driveway and #sidewalk was tackled by the hubby, while I worked on #painting our #MasterBedroom. We worked non-stop until late afternoon. And then I whipped us up this delicious meal by @blueapron. I needed something I didn't have to think about, and they do all the thinking and you just follow the directions and create delicious meals. This table is finally finished and In the curing phase. I added one last layer of clear #epoxy to give it that #wow factor. And well .... WOW! It came out so stunning. Definitely my favorite piece so far. I am doing a full video on 2 different techniques that can be done to achieve this look. 1) Hand Painted 2) Epoxy Pour . I did it both ways and can find pros and cons in each, depending on what supplies or time you may have. Epoxy pour is a little more expensive but way easier and faster. And the Hand Painted way is cheaper and more forgiving, but takes a little longer. 100 Days of DIY's Day 23 : Marble Table Makeover . Yesterday, we mounted our tv and did some random cleaning and chores. And I didn't think you'd be interested in a post about that. 100 Days of DIY Day 21 : DIY Lazy Suzan . I need a few #lazysusans , but I couldn't find the sizes I wanted, so of course, I'm making them. You can use screws with these kits, but I'm opting for #gorillaglue . I'm using this round #platter #tray thingy that I found at #targetdollarspot , and some surface protectors, as well. This one came out super cute! I have to custom cut another piece to fit inside my spice cabinet... because I'm tired of searching frantically in the middle of cooking a meal, and what I need has been shoved to the back. I figure this would be a good solution to that problem. 100 Days of DIY's Day 19: Stenciled Candles . As I continue to work on several projects at once, I'm mostly trying to fill that weird plant ledge space I showed you the other day. Here is one of the many projects, for that space , that I'm working on. I used a #stencil, that I've had for years, but I think I purchased it at hobby lobby with the 40% off coupon, of course 😉.
