holy shit! this project has been over a year in the making and i am delighted to finally be able to share it with all of you!!
this colourful cast belongs to the D&D podcast Arklands, in which one character’s backstory follows the journey laid out by the 22 major arcana archetypes (in the traditional order, with justice at no.8 and strength at no.11, rather than the rider-waite-smith layout). i was commissioned by the podcast’s developer to create a set to represent that journey!
needless to say, 22 cards is a pretty big undertaking, but i’m so pleased with how it turned out! of course, it’s largely in part to the characters themselves, so i urge all of you to go and listen to the podcast!!
