There is no happily ever after
After sinking out of the living space, Roman headed back to his room. An incredible place once filled with imagination, now has lost its shine. Roman was having an identity crisis and mental breakdown, after finding out he was no longer the hero of the story. Feeling unloved and hurt, he sat on his bed, quietly shedding tears as they fall from his face. Trying his best not to make a sound, so that no one will hear and come to him worried. He didn't want to worry them, and didn't want their pity. He was afraid. Afraid that he might burden them. So he sat there, crying alone, not asking for help.
After sometime,he heard a knock. He quickly wiped away his tears, as Patton said "Hey, Kiddo. Dinner is ready, are you coming down?" Trying to fix the tone of his voice back to normal, he said "I'll be down in a minute, Padre." He heard Patton's footsteps walk away after he said that, and he sat up then fixed his apperance so that nobody will suspect a thing. Roman then made his way down stairs, finding the others sitting at the table about to start eating. The dinner was quiet, for their was a bit of tension coming from Virgil. Virgil has yet to accept the fact that Janus now is accepted by Thomas and the others. At sometime while they were eating, Patton had noticed that Roman's smile that night didn't seem so genuine. "Something wrong, Roman?", he murmured. Suddenly their attention went to Roman. Roman was feeling conflicted, whether he should or shouldn't tell them. "I'm doing fine, Pat.", he said showing a smile. He was just about finished, so he put his plate on the sink and went back to his room.
Logan quickly followed after. Once he was in his room, he noticed a novel he failed to return to Roman. So he went to Roman's room, to return the book. He knocked on the door. Once Roman heard the knock, he regained his composture to simply open the door. "May I come in?" Logan gently said as Roman opened the door. Then Roman quickly motioned Logan to come in, and closed the door afterwards.
"I just came to return your book. The story was actually enjoyable and intriguing, although it was quite unrealistic." He said in calm but joyous way for he had really enjoyed the book. "Could you imagine us having such an ability? I mean mind reading will offer so many benefits. It will be easier for us to solve our problems", he added. "If you could read my mind, you'd be in tears.", Roman whispered under his breathe but Logan still managed to hear it. "Roman, Look at me", he said while looking directly at Roman. "I'm not an idiot. And I heard what happened. I understand that might have hurt...no, i know that hurts. But even the hero isn't perfect in the story, no one is.", Logan said smiling at Roman. However, that brought him to tears and made him say "Lo, I'm not even the hero...I'm not even his hero."
Part 2, coming soon? I dont know this is just getting long...
