not only is it the amber spyglass' 25th (!!) anniversary this year, it's also been a whole ten (10!!!) years since I shared my first midsummer day art here on tumblr. to honour the occasion, I decided to redraw that very first artwork — I was rather proud of it at the time, and it started a now decade-long tradition of making hdm art every june.

it's mostly a sentimental record for myself, but some of you have also been following me for quite a few of those years, which I deeply appreciate.
