Jason meeting Arkham Jason
Okay, reverse it. An inmate who's secretly a meta feels sick about what's happening to Robin, especially now that the Bat apparently thinks the kids dead and stopped looking for him.
The inmate knows he can send things away. He doesn't know where it ends up, but it has to be better, a chance he wouldn't have here...
He breaks into the cell, pushing down nausea at the sight of the second Robin hanging limply from barbed wire bindings. He prays to any power put there that the boy will end up somewhere he can get help before gently touching his arm. With a pop Jason Todd-Wayne disappears from his personal hell. A shot rings out and the meta inmates brains spray across the empty cell.
In another world, Jason Todd is taking the night off in his 'safe house' on the jersey shore, trying to trust nightwing to watch over his people and territory for the weekend. He's preparing a cup of chamomile, a light charcuterie board, and has a new romantasy book picked out.
A pop and crash has him moving, gun drawn, the sight of the unmoving body in the shattered remains of his coffee table making him freeze.
To see a kid being tortured in such an inhumane way...
A new Robin had appeared a while ago, clear that Batman who was longer looking for this one.
That or he thinks the kids dead...
The things about him though, is that he was able to teleport things. Send things to alternate dimension, it's a crazy ability, he knows. But he's kept shut because of how taxing it is depending on the size of the object he teleport.
He's never tried it on a human being before, but, he's willing to try. The way Robin's living right now, it was far worse than dying. If his ability doesn't work, then at least he'd be put out of his misery, but dear god he hopes it works...
The kid deserves some comfort in life after everything he's gone through.
And with that, he gets to it, breaking into the room.
He felt so nauseous, the smell being so pungent that it made your eyes sting, he had to stop himself from gagging or even throwing up.
He somehow made it, to where Robin was, and the sight...
Today Joker had decided to have Robin hanging from the ceiling with barbed wires.
He purservers despite the horrible scene in front of him and prays that Robin would end up somewhere that will be to him as he activates his powers.
And in the next second, Robin was gone.
But... A few seconds after Robin disappeared, one of the inmates that came in spotted him, and he knew nothing that came after, except for a bullet to his brains...
Jason sighs as he massages a a muscle, getting ready to relax and read a book he's been dying to read but never had the time to.
The reason why he's taking a break for the night?
Dick and the others kept badgering him that they'd look after Crime Alley and his people so that he should take a night off.
Jason of course scoffed at this, but their badgering was too much so he gave up.
He knows he should trust Dick, but he's just got the feeling that something was wrong.
But no. He needs to chillax and trust Dick. dick knows what he's doing, has been in this business for longer than him.
So he makes a cup of chamomile, prepared a light charcuterie board, and picks up his long awaited romantasy book as he gets comfy in his chair.
And just as he finishes a page, out of nowhere, a body appears out of thin air and crashes into his beloved tea and charcuterie board.
Jason internally sighs, he really couldn't take a break, could he? And immediately draws a gun from beside the chair.
What? You really think Jason wouldn't have a gun near him?
It was similar to Robin's suit, but with slight differences, and very dirtied to say the least.
Just what on earth is going on???
Jason movds the body to somewhere safer, comforter place, but still restrained- he isn't risking it in case it's a trap, alright?
But as he ties up the boy? Man? He notices all the scars, and predominantly, the J scar on his cheek.
At that, Jason could only imagine one sick thing that was possible of such atrocities...
He really doesn't like where this was going...
Anyways, he'll get his answers soon after the boy wakes up.
Deciding that it was safe to leave the boy alone, not wanting to try clean him up and risk further injuring him, Jason goes back to his living room and starts cleaning the mess. He mourns his night off that he could've spent reading his long awaited book, well, he still can while he waits for the boy to wake up.
Alas, it is what it is, and he mops the last of the spilt chamomile tea before heading back to where his 'guest'.
After finishing a chapter, his surprise visitor finally showed signs of waking up.
It was naked to the human eye, but Jason with all his training managed to pick up the slightest hitch of voice, signalling that he'd regained conscious.
Jason places a bookmark in his book, closes it and places it on the table next to him before crossing his legs, and leaning forward. Like one of those women investigator, his actions were far too elegant compared to how the stereotypical investigator would position their body.
"We both know you're awake, so why not save us both the trouble? And don't worry, I'm not going to hurt you. I just want some answers okay?" He tries to sound reassuring, but at the same time stern enough.
However, the boy stayed quiet, he did open his eyes thought.
"Now then, since you just popped out of thin air and are using a Robin suit that is different here, I'm going to assume you're from a different world?"
Look, Jason isn't the stupid brute everyone thinks he is okay? He's had time to think and reflect on what occured, of course it was weird. None of the Robin suits, not Dick's, not his, not Tim's, not Steph's, and definitely not Damian's, looked like what the boy was wearing.
And the fact that he just appeared from nowhere?
It just made the most sense.
"Look, don't worry about your identity, in your world, Dick was probably the first Robin right? Same here-"
At the mention of Dick's name, the boy looks up at Jason's eyes, in shock.
So, definitely a Robin from some other planet, cool.
That just begs the question of which Robin he was and from the few similarities he found with himself, he really really did not like where this was going, but he had to push through...
"I'm Jason Todd, the second Robin, and you?"
And wow, if the boy looked up at him in shock when he heard "Dick", then he looked up in horror and confusion.
Well, guess Jason knows who the boy was now...
"So, guess there's now two Jason's, huh?" He tries to joke, but the other Jason didn't laugh back, only tears rolled down silently, causing Jason to stand up in alarm.
This of course caused the other Jason to flinch, making Jason still.
Just what has he been though for him to act like that??
