So I looked up why and how this happened, and it turns out Weird Al hired a company called Birdhouse Skateboards to provide some “skate/punk” extras for the video. Birdhouse Skateboards is a company started by Tony Hawk, so not only did Weird Al end up putting Tony Hawk in his video without realizing it, he actually hired Tony Hawk’s company without realizing it! And then Tony Hawk just decided to go along as one of the extras himself.

BTW, he’d already won like 40 contests already, some of them international skateboarding contests. So it’s not like Weird Al cast some unknown skateboarder who ended up becoming World Famous Skateboarder, he was already well known and was running his own Skateboarding company.

Explaining homestuck isn't hard and doesn't take ten thousand paragraphs to do y'all just don't know how to summarize things.

Homestuck is a webcomic where there is a multiplayer video game called Sburb which is a standard component of reality itself. Sburb, when played, destroys your original universe and transports you to a liminal place called a Land where the goal is to create a new universe and reality. Because all the realities are made by previous players of the video game, there's a large cast that follows multiple timelines/realities. Because all of this is also a video game, there are some bugs/hacks/glitches. Much of the later plot of Homestuck revolves around trying to glitch reality in a way to kill an unkillable glitched final boss to save and fix the timelines/realities which were all glitched to being unplayable/unwinnable because of it. There are a variety of mediums in which the story is told and the guy from Undertale did a lot of the music for it.

We know the perils of naming things as a GM. You might be too mundane: Bob, the bronze dragon of the southern coast. You might be too archaic: what do you mean the party can’t remember the archmage Zenithisces Miramandovion Shorfodorf?

We have tales of the GMs who created the legendary sword of Jeo’m Amah by mistake, or panic-named two people the same thing (shout out to Skinny Greg and Stocky Greg). But yesterday I think I ran into one that was my own dang fault.

Idea: say names out loud. Say them many times. If they are too fun to say, there will be problems. Do not by any means name your terrible monster “Klong” even if you want him to be a King Kong reference.
