Sex-negatives, censors and prudes are always saying that kinksters "can't tell the difference between fantasy and reality" and it's always so revealing to me when they say this because it's like no, that's your problem.

I write fiction that has explicitly nonconsensual sexual elements occurring between fictional characters. This is actually fine, because these characters are not real. They do not exist. These events didn't (and in some cases literally couldn't) occur in reality. If a character in my story appears to be experiencing trauma or pain, that is only because I am an evocative writer.

I have no interest in engaging in or being subjected to any of the acts that I depict in these stories in real life. I've been sexual assaulted twice, and that's more than enough for one lifetime.

I also regularly participate in VRChat hunts, which are basically immersive horror LARPs. I engage as both a prey who regularly gets torn to pieces, and as a physical incarnation of the Big Bad Wolf from folklore, who enjoys eating people. It may surprise you to learn that I do not want to eat people in real life.

Once I was feeding some ducks from a bag of birdseed I brought with me, and this woman next to me looked so confused and asked what I was feeding them

When I said it was birdseed she just went “oh- can they actually eat that? Is that safe?”

I didnt know how to respond like, at all, so I just pointed at the duck and said “bird”
