Green Love Letter by Masa-San, Fujino, Kanagawa, Japan
The abuse you went through was not something you deserved, it wasn't punishment, it wasn't karma, it wasn't fate, it wasn't meant to be, you didn't manifest it, you didn't invite it. It was abuse. Even if people say you placed yourself in that situation, you still didn't deserve it, it was still wrong for others to abuse you and neglect you. It wasn't your fault. It was your abusers' fault.
yesterday my therapist said this to me: “Of course you have some choices in relationships. But abuse will never be your choice or your fault. You aren’t responsible for any kind of abuse.”
when you see your little kitty walking toward you at a leisurely pace and say "hi baby!" bc you're excited to see her and she starts trotting a little bit faster 'cause she's excited to see you too. that's what life is all about i think
But what about how she says “mrrrow” just as she starts her lil trot?

You are just as deserving as recovery and healing as everyone else.
I recently saw someone talking about how one day you'll be grateful for the trauma you went through since it made you who you are today.
And I just want to say that you don't need to be grateful for your trauma. You don't need to give your trauma credit for who you are today. You’re who you are today because of you. You deserve the credit. You’re the one who’s made all the growth and made it this far. Please don’t forget that.
Just because something has become a regular occurrence or otherwise seems “normal” to you doesn’t make it any less traumatic or your feelings about it any less valid.
