yes i think about this all the time!! what really gets me is that even though it’s obviously agonizing for him, he’s still able to leave daniel behind, but when he’s faced with the prospect of leaving sam behind, he can’t do it. he was fully prepared to die right there with her and my shipper heart can’t handle it😭😭😭😭
