Sooo... I think my cat saved me yesterday?
A bit of background, I swear it'll make sense.
My kitty is a little tortie fluff, she's very... Special. She doesn't like to push things out of shelves because of the noise (did it once when she was a kitten, scared herself) unless it's her last resort when trying to get my attention. She also doesn't like to howl (?). Don't get me wrong, she can and will meow to the top of her little lungs if she can, but anything louder than that? Only when I have to bathe her.
We usually oversleep on weekends because my alarm is off. She will and has used me as a springboard if I don't stand up quickly enough to give her her food after the alarm has gone off, but yesterday was a Sunday, I had a flare up on Saturday, and was feeling very poorly when I went to bed, but hey, sleep is good, it usually makes me feel better.
I woke up at dawn with my cat loafed near my face. She never does that! She hasn't liked to sleep near my head since she was a kitten! So, weird. I was still tired, feeling still bad and somewhat short of breath though. Not unusual, it sometimes happens when my shoulders subluxate when I'm sleeping.
She notices I'm awake, chirps, stretches, gets out of the room, and starts meowing.
"Nope" I think, "I'm not getting out of bed."
She starts meowing louder, and suddenly starts howling. As if she was getting a sudden bath in the hallway.
I take my phone, it's 3 am, think "you're not getting food this early", and back to sleep I go.
And then, she starts throwing things. That makes me try to stand up.
I say "try" because everything starts shaking and I can't even sit. Maybe she was trying to warn me of a sudden earthquake? We had a few in the last weeks and she is a really good early detection system. But no, it's just me.
She has come back, is looking at me and is chirping.
I stand up, sway a little, and go see what damage she has done. It's just the one notepad I have on the counter that she had been taking up the table and dropping off until I decided to move.
She doesn't even go to her bowl, but makes me follow her around our flat. Gets mad when I try to sit down on the sofa, and comes running from her litter box meowing up a storm when I lay down in my bed again.
She's very insistent that I stay moving and awake and only relaxed when I went to have a shower.
I don't know what to think. She was particularly affectionate yesterday, and I do have heart problems. Did she hear something? Was she that agitated because she was worried something was going to happen to me? Was something happening to me?
If so, thank you little bug. You're getting more treats today. I hope I don't have to make you worry like this again.
