I also think that the strength gap is at least partially manufactured women would in fact be stronger overall if little girls were encouraged to do physically taxing games and activities and eat their fill while they’re growing vs having to constantly diet and be sedentary indoors (or god forbid do intense cardio while under-eating). hi this tag is making me insane. OCD treatment and recovery are notoriously difficult because you have to give up all of your comforts and accommodations you've created, to actually lay the beast bare. i often say "the only way out of OCD is through" but i think this tag is far more evocative of what it actually feels like to find the strength within you to face recovery.

Anyone genuinely going “you should warn trans women about the risks of hrt* and tell them to think it over” is a transmisogynist. They are reifying the patriarchal views because they rather you spend ten years debating it or kill yourself than be a trans woman. That’s why you shouldn’t entertain them. They don’t care about you, they just want to maintain the status quo. I hope they’re at least getting a check from the state department for their effort, it’s more pathetic if they’re doing this out of genuine ideological belief.

*Occasionally this statement as diy hrt, it’s the same canard with better deniability. Whenever someone says something like this you need to think to yourself, is this supporting the dominant ideological position or opposing it? If the former you should be much more critical of it.
