How often do you recommend watering succulents? A brief google has suggested everything from every 3 days to once every 2 weeks...

Depends where you live and what type of succulent you have! In general you should let the soil dry out completely before watering again, you can check this by using a tootpick or a stick to check if the soil is dry all the way down. If soil sticks to the wood it’s still too wet (like with a cake). Another way to determine if your plant needs water is to just check the leaves. If they’re limp or thin then they would like a drink :)
