I find it extremely funny that Genesis hasn’t met Zack and doesn’t interact with most of SOLDIER due to the extremely likely fact that he’s too busy rereading his favorite books in his downtime and doing enough literary analysis on them that an entire fan club formed around it at one point. He seems like one of those extroverted theater kids only to turn out that he’s actually a reclusive nerd who writes 10k analysis posts daily on Loveless and gets mad at people who misinterpret his favorite media’s deeper themes. He’s literally playing with touys. Genesis would have killed it on tumblr

I think too many people forget that, for all of his alien modifications, Sephiroth IS human and IS subject to the nuances of human tragedy. Both of his biological parents were human. He was born from a human mother. Jenova was grafted into him, but Sephiroth's capacity for compassion is indicative of his true human heart. He only really goes full alien after he emotionally/psychologically rejects his own humanity. But it doesn't erase what he is on a fundamental physical and biological level.

Sephiroth was human.

Sephiroth IS human.

#Sephiroth HAS to be human because that means he can be saved #and if he can't be saved #then how can we (or cloud) know that anyone (or he) can be saved?
