The vast majority of conservatives think of themselves as underdogs being repressed by the government/the elite, and they value personal freedom (specifically their personal freedom, they don’t care about other people). The will almost always agree with leftist points if you can find a way to blame the problem on their vague enemies (useful, since rich people are the root of most problems), and tie it back to their ability to say fuck everyone else. NEVER appeal to science, theory, logic, or human goodness. Make it seem as if you are a paranoid lunatic who trusts no one. They love it.

Your NPCs all sound the same, and it isn't because you can't do voices

The party talks to someone you didn't prep. You panic, you give them a name, and from that moment on that character is a wall you do improv against.

The problem isn't your acting. It's that you never decided anything about them. Four decisions, about fifteen seconds, and they're a person:

WANT. What they want in the next ten minutes. Not a life goal, because a life goal gives you nothing to play. "Wants to close up early" gives you a whole scene: they're impatient, they cut the party off, they'll trade information for speed.

WOUND. The thing they won't say. You never have to reveal it. It exists so that when a player asks the wrong question, the character deflects, and deflection is the single most human thing an NPC can do.

TELL. One body habit and one speech habit. Not an accent. "Never takes his gloves off." "Says no first, then negotiates." Players imitate these back at you, which is how you know an NPC landed. And unlike an accent, you can't forget how you did it last time.

LEVERAGE. What would flip them. Most GMs skip this one, and it's the one that turns an NPC from scenery into a puzzle. If the party works out the price, they get the help.

You can roll these, write them, or steal them. The point is that four small decisions beat one big improvisation every single time.

Goths aren't "true to seed" in the sense that the biological offspring of two goths do not necessarily grow up to be goth, though inheriting the inclination for it from both parents increases the odds significantly. That is not how goths naturally reproduce.

The process is actually quite sophisticated, and requires the presence of a full-grown goth to trigger it. A pupal-stage proto-goth, at this point completely indistinguishable from any other small human child, only needs to encounter a mature specimen once - and while the initial imprinting that ensues will only take seconds, the incubation period often takes more than a decade, even several.

The first visible step of the transformation is triggered when the dormant goth suddenly gains awareness that they have free will and can do whatever they want with their appearance. While the progress may be gradual, or seem like the transformation happened all at once overnight, the initial seed was planted years ago. And now, in full bloom, a fully-fledged mature adult goth may finally be happy.

And that's why it's important to sometimes look goth as fuck in the grocery store. You might be seen by small child who had previously hoped to die before adulthood because everything they've heard about becoming a grownup is just pure misery, who will then consequently think to themselves "actually nevermind, that's what I want to be when I grow up."
