i wonder how many people have to die before governments take global warming seriously or do we all just get to burn to death
i say this as someone who has access to air conditioning and who deals with- in comparison- much less dangerous heat waves. people are already dying in the global south despite having the lowest carbon footprint on earth. people in india are either currently at wet bulb temperatures or will soon meet and surpass them. and what are we doing about it? drill baby drill?
mudkips in a pond
paintings of my cat Noodle over the years
his wife has filled THEIR house with ANTIQUES. to AVOID DAMAGING HER VALUABLES i fuck him on the floor
I think when a child is traumatised instead of making them develop mental issues and other disorders that an abuser can exploit, they should get like a cool magic sword or the ability to turn into a dragon
Into The Light
i am some sort of fey creature and my cat is the human who i have arbitrarily decided is my favorite human.
i live, to him, an unfathomably long life
i have access to powers and locations that he cannot access independently; he needs my help to navigate the world i've brought him to
i simply found him outside and abducted him one day
there are many cats in the world, but this one is the best and my most favorite. why? because he was available to abduct that morning and for very little other reason.
i have a much greater understanding of this world than him, but he has unshakable confidence in his ability to figure it out and i find that really cute
the power dynamic is fundamentally unbalanced, but i let him have a little audacity. a little combativeness and sass. as a treat.
some humans are needlessly cruel to cats or take them in for a short time before neglecting or abandoning them. but i have chosen to love and guard this one with my life. because i think he's neat.
he is very well-treated and has pretty much everything he could possibly want or need, but he is my prisoner.
Chappell Roan was right. it is like a hundred ninety nine degrees
And no one is even doing it with me
*sighs sadly* doing it with me…
remade my pokemon liminal dungeon piece because i am excited for the backrooms movie yay!
there are places in the world today that are experiencing 40°C for the first time in recorded history. of course there's no way to know whether chucking billionaires into volcanos will appease the sun god but i feel we're doing the scientific method a disservice if we don't at least try
I am doing whatever the opposite of locked in is .
I am locked out. I am in the parking lot. The rain is coming.
“Do it scared” “do it alone” are all great tips, but my biggest takeaway from therapy is do it messy. This is especially true if you’re getting out of a burnout, which I experience often. Literally just do it messy. You don’t need to pick the perfect trail to walk, the perfect playlist to listen to, whatever the fuck it is. You don’t need to have a meticulous to do list and wake up at the exact time you planned and drink the exact amount of water you planned to drink. Like the biggest thing for people like me to remember is sometimes it’s okay to do it messy. Put on a random yt workout and just get it done in sweats. Do 5 minutes of a daunting task and go from there. Sometimes just getting up is a win during intense burnouts or depressive funks. Literally just do it messy.
