I saw this when running newpipe. But wait, it gets deeper. I clicked on the details buttons and it said as of today, we have 83 days left until Google rolls out this new requirement for apps inside and outside of the google play store. If any developer disagrees with their new terms and fees, they will be blocked!

I'll share some of the info below:

Looks like they're trying to nuke the remaining privacy and freedoms we have left on the internet.

What to do?

-Get your developer friends to not comply to their new guides

- Sign the open letter on the site and take action by checking out the full resources list on their website as well!

To summarize, this is all daunting especially when you feel all alone with unfair and inhumane regulations comming out faster than improvements but we got this working together!

it's because their definition of "man" is "gender oppressor" and their definition of "woman" is "gender victim" but they also believe that identifying as a gender is what makes you that gender, so it leads to the bizarre conclusion that the second a trans man comes out he must instantly have cis male privilege. Maybe he even had male privilege before he came out, on account of his blue-flavored soul and alpha vibes. Trfs, like terfs, define themselves as women because they are oppressed as women, so the idea of someone they see as a man experiencing women's oppression is a threat to their identity.

"Acknowledging that many trans men have female sex organs is misgendering" is a statement that only makes sense if you believe that men can't have female sex organs. Which is obviously transphobic, but these bozos don't see transphobia or misogyny that affects trans men as worth talking about, on account of trans men's overwhelming male privilege.

All this leads to such baffling statements as "abortion laws affect trans women worse than they affect trans men" or "trans men talking about their reproductive organs is twerf rhetoric" or "tmes love asserting themselves as more of a woman than you". It's what TMA means. In their minds being a woman is defined by suffering for being one.

All this is to say, somewhere along the line "transfeminists" forgot that gender and sex are different things that can affect people in complex ways because they want to be America's next top victim more than they want to have an honest conversation about gender.

tbh I think the TMA/TME binary does more harm to conversations around transmisogyny than good, because the concept of “transmisogyny-exempt” people in general completely downplays/undermines transmisogyny’s role as an overarching form of structural oppression that impacts our entire society and everyone within it

When you say “only this specific group is affected by transmisogyny, and everyone else on the planet is exempt from ever being affected by it” it turns transmisogyny and transmisogynistic oppression from the massive, deeply ingrained systemic force that it actually is, into like. A Cool Kids Club

In conversations about racism, we are talking about how racism/racist bases impact everything and everybody everywhere all the time. In conversations about antiblackness, we are talking about how antiblackness/antiblack bases impact everything and everybody everywhere all the time. Because that is how systemic oppression works. You cannot be “exempt” from a social poison that is so deeply rooted in all of our communities.

The same goes for transmisogyny. You cannot be an overarching oppressive societal force while only affecting a handful of people. There are primary targets, obviously, but the phrasing of “affected” and “exempt” very clearly posit that people can just… opt out of the whole thing? And just not be affected by in ANY way/shape/form? Which is just blatantly untrue.

.It’s SYSTEMIC oppression that means it’s part of the SYSTEM because it is INGRAINED INTO IT. If you are a MEMBER OF SOCIETY that means you are PARTICIPATING IN THE SYSTEM and you are therefore AFFECTED BY THINGS THAT ARE SYSTEMIC. just by default. Even if you’re not a direct target, you are still affected. That’s literally the whole point

The conversation shouldn’t be about who is and who isn’t affected by transmisogyny. That is going to get us nowhere; it’s been getting us nowhere. The conversation should be focusing on how deeply transmisogyny (and the various ways in which transphobia intersects with misogyny in general) is ingrained into literally every single facet of our society as a whole, how it bleeds through in our day to day lives, how it manifests in the most insidious ways and negatively influences everyone.

Small progress update on bonus episodes

Hello. I apologize for the lack of content.

Lately I've been working on the two bonus episodes for chapter 2, so I haven't worked on chapter 3 very much... Here's a another preview.

There's all sorts of additional things like new textbox design and multiple sprites...

The progress on the bonus episodes right now is roughly this much:

I tried a different video editing style for both of them and draw a lot of assets. It looks nice, but it ended up being very time consuming, which is why they're taking so long, so I don't think I'll do it again for future bonus episodes.

had a dream I was watching/playing a fangan that made Tetro look like Winnie the Pooh

I don't remember much, but there was so much torture, a lot of it reading as "the creator's barely disguised fetish". The deaths (gory as hell) were all random for your playthrough. It had little to do with the rules of Danganronpa, it was more like Saw actually. The motives were random and unfair like "random character, mutilate yourself in a gratuitous way or you're going to explode xDD".

The gameplay was genuinely so good though. It was all in first person in a 3d environment, the graphics were very rough and simple. Combined with the UI it sort of looked like Minecraft? Or Doom? Except for the DR style sprites. Really challenging and hardcore in just the perfect way. Super unpredictable, you never knew who's going to die -- like I said, it was all random who, when, and how. Great atmosphere, similar appeal to Fear and Hunger.

My favourite section though was where you were in some sort of lilac coloured heaven(?) as an angel or something, I think we were on a quest to find someone and convince them not to do something horrible? There was no violence, just fun platforming and pretty environments. A breather between the horrors. The vibe was similar to the short section in Alice Madness Returns where it was just card castles floating in the clear sky right before Queensland. Unfortunately the creator was outed as a massive creep and eventually people realised the edginess was actually way too much, so even though the game was enjoyable it left a bad taste in your mouth when playing it again. :(
