Finished the Fungi SAL that I’ve been working on since last year. Feels good to have it complete. The ghost fungus on the last page has glow-in-the-dark thread.
Recently, my sister finished the last of a set of Stardew Valley Cross Stitch for me. Today the frame I had made for it was finished and I wanted to share it with everyone!
was that the bite of ‘87???
cross stitch of markiplier and fnaf by me!!
Stitching is done on “can i lick it?”
Tonight I’ll wash it and finish it in the pretty wooden hoop.
birdie with my first cross stitch!!
UPDATE:
it’s been framed!
I framed the rookie! I also brought him to the shop today! Not sure if he’ll sell, but he’ll at the very least draw people over to my space!
One of my absolute favorite pieces! ❤️ by fernandaffp on reddit
40%! Getting so close to halfway, and I've really gotten back into cross-stitch, probably because it was too hot to knit haha
Finished cross stitch broach pins. Ginger, Silver and Dark Ginger in two variations of kitties. Cross stitched on vinyl aida and backed onto felt with broach pins.
Finally finished my cross stitch chart!
Now I gotta wait to get the colors :/
An Incomplete List of Fonts I Would Like to Digitize Someday
All from the Antique Pattern Library
This twisty one
This pleasantly-flourished simple one. it's quirky.
I have no clue how one would include backstitching in a font, but it would look so good
This Art Deco set, from a pamphlet where it shares space with both the most stunning animal illustrations you've ever seen and also the world's most baffling, hideous borders
This one has a lowercase set, too. In a modern context this reads more as a retro game font than a cross-stitch one.
these would look INSANE stitched. more of a monogram font than one for sentences, but who cares. I could figure out some lowercases and this would absolutely COOK
Love the weight of this one. Gothic, fun, but not large enough to be unwieldy.
The first twisty font is better, I think. but if I had infinite time I'd do this one too
A very respectable twist on a classic sampler font. could get a lot of mileage out of this one
hot take but I think with a good lowercase set this one would also be good for a lot of things-- party in the capitals, but keep the lowercase legible.
a very respectable font. you could file your taxes with this one.
their bulbous forms entrance me. I REALLY like that 'H'
Another set that really should only be for monograms... but some part of me wants to believe I could make a proper font around these
LOVE the 'A', like the others. really dig that the original artist included a lowercase set, too
Bonus Monograms I like:
Blue Floral | Thick Line Red Floral | Right Angles
It's strawberry season!
being an everything crafter is great but also sucks. like i want to get my watercolors out but i need to put away my microcrochet first. i want to do some leatherwork but my oil paints are on the table. i want to whittle but i'm using the bucket i catch wood shavings in to hold my papermaking mush. i want to write my book but my hands are too busy knitting a sweater. i want to code another video game but i'm too busy studying nalebinding. do you see my problem. the problem is that i need more hands
I have that same problem. I want to work on my knitting but I have other crochet projects almost finished that I want to work on. I want to make new resin dice but I have walking sticks that need to be sanded and stained. I want to work on my writing but I have too many drawing ideas that I can’t get out of my head. I want to work on a new cross stitch but my patch shirt currently has half way project that I should finish first. I want to make a tapestry but I have too many blankets to finish. Too many wips and too many ideas
Totally forgot about the book binding too. Doesn’t help that I want to get into leather work and wood carving. I just want to do all of the crafts
