Saint Heron’s library aims to foster a space where the wisdom and creativity of these “great minds” can thrive, supported by an infrastructure that champions preservation and accessibility. The library will not only serve as a place of significant works but also act as a catalyst for more conversations around artists, scholars and enthusiasts. Obsessed with the sudden shift in Cas' willingness to say insane romantic shit to dean in season 8. A couple of seasons ago, he would tell dean that they had a profound bond to his face. That everything he did, he did for Dean. Now? He's hesitating. He clenches his fists to avoid hugging Dean back in purgatory. He stutters and looks away before saying he stayed away from Dean to protect him. When asked what broke through heaven's brainwashing, he looks away and says he doesn't know. It's so interesting to me

#i think its a two hit combo#first of all Cas is dealing with immense guilt#over what he did to the angels AND what he did to dean#but also. i think season 8 is when cas starts to get Suspicious of his own feelings#he doesnt know hes in love. not yet#but he knows somethings wrong in that the strength of his emotions regarding dean arent just smth he can attribute to “a more profound bond#anymore#he can avoid thinking about it all he wants. but what he feels towards dean was able to get thru heavens brainwashing#and i think it scares him#spn#destiel#supernatural#castiel#dean winchester#cat spirals tag (X)

some advice for people entering their 20s:

-dont go to the emergency room with dental problems. go to the dentist

-bagged greens are cheaper than pre-made salads

-taco bell is NOT worth the money anymore. 1/4 cup mayo, 1/4 cup sour cream, 3 tblspoons pickled jalapenos+2tblspoons of the jar liquid, 2 tsp paprika 1 tsp cumin 1 tsp garlic powder 1 tsp onion powder salt+pepper. all in your blender. creamy jalapeno sauce

-dont quit your job unless you have a bunch of job interviews lined up immediately after

-use resources. food bank, unemployment, housing assistance, financial aid, etc. yes there will be paperwork. but Do It

-dont stay awake longer than 20 hours. you Will start to become impulsive and cranky. resting for 20 minutes is better than trying to stay awake

-for every 2 hours you spend looking up close at screens, spend 20 minutes looking at something far away from you. stretch your wrists a lot

-dont do that yoga stretch where you roll your head around your shoulders. youre grinding down the joints in your neck

-be nice to your friends, bullying them as a joke gets old. if you need a ride somewhere at least offer them gas money

-brush your teeth at any time of the day but especially before you sleep. dont snack in bed if you can help it. make your bed the Clean Teeth Zone. keep floss picks by your bed

-dont tell your boss youre adhd/autism/depression/suicidal. dont trust your coworkers with that. you NEVER know how people will take it and its none of their business

-train your pets to go to the front door when they hear a fire alarm

-get regular oil changes

inception is a decent movie but there's so much horror tragedy potential written into its premise and the implications of its worldbuilding and being able to see that and do nothing about it makes me feel deranged

dream technology was developed by the military "so soldiers could practice shooting, stabbing and strangling each other". the only way to escape a dream before it ends is by killing yourself or convincing someone to kill you. you can live entire lifetimes in a dream, only to wake up to the disorientation of realising that only hours have passed in the waking world. prolonged exposure to dream-sharing tech carries the high risk of inducing psychosis to the point that you can no longer tell the difference between dreams and reality. you can carry a "totem" that behaves differently in a dream to counter this, but if anyone else gets their hands on it and figures out how it works, it's game over. dreaming is so addictive that some people sacrifice their waking lives to keep dreaming for longer. people can be hired to break into your mind and take anything they want from it, down to your most intimate parts, and sell them for profit. if that's not paranoia-inducing enough, entering someone else's mind carries the risk of being hunted down and torn to pieces by manifestations of their own psyche in a subconscious act of self-defence that cannot be controlled, because what you are doing is invasive and violent. the premise of the film rests on a superrich man hiring a group of people to fundamentally alter a man's identity because inheriting his father's corporation has the potential to make him a BUSINESS COMPETITOR. the leader of said heist team is so haunted by the suicide of his wife that he (unintentionally) caused by violating her mind to the point of madness that he locks the rest of them into a labyrinth of his own guilt, stalked by the minotaur her vengeful ghost. oh, and on the right cocktail of drugs, you can't wake up from a nightmare, and will instead end up in pure unconstructed unreality, surrounded only by decaying structures built by those who inhabited it before you, whose intentions and regrets might still haunt the landscape like a malevolent physical presence.

and you still have to go to work in the morning!

is kind of a tragedy how little impact this movie had in the popular culture beyond the BOOOOOM sound effect and redefining the meaning of the word inception. youd think other people would have grabbed this premise and done more with it and it hasnt really happened. this and paprika were the two movies that did something with the idea and that was kind of it
