TRAUMA: WEAK HERO CLASS I & II
𓊔pov: whether you're there during the brawl or they come to you after the fact, cleaning the boys' wounds after a fight is practically one of your love languages
𓊔warning/tags: talks of injury, talks of past trauma, overall warm and sweet fluff (i can't think of anything else, so if there is, please let me know!)
𓊔author's note: Completely obsessed with Weak Hero, so I had to make something for the iconic trio of Class I (before everything went downhill, Beomseok is a sensitive topic for me because I lowkey love him loll😪) and the groups from Class II. More to come! Enjoy my lovies!!! xoxo, gyucheolgirly😉

insists that he's fine when he's clearly not, groaning each time he would get up or move
you would have to physically sit him down beside you with the first aid kit because he will not ask for help (even if he desperately needs it)
while you're cleaning his wounds, he stays quiet the whole time, simply watching your movements
not in a weird way, but in a way that shows he's memorizing every small detail about you (how close both of you are, how gently and caring you are with him)
lowkey fascinated with how careful you are with him
if he's not watching you, then he's mentally replaying the fight, his eyes often glazed over in thought
slightly flinches when you first touch him, but then quickly relaxes
his skin is always surprisingly cold
when you dab at a cut on his cheekbone, he doesn't make a sound, but you feel a small, sharp intake of breath against your hand
will try to take the cotten swab form you so he can clean his wounds himself
you gently push his hand away
he’ll be taken aback for a moment before melting into your touch
when you scold him, "You could've gotten seriously hurt." he just blinks away and says "But I didn't..." (which makes you more upset but you never take it out on him)
after you’re done, he'll softly say "Thank you."
will almost instantly go back to his books, but subtly reaches out and holds your hand
doesn't initiate affection often, but this is one of the times where he leans into you, and you reciprocate it
will bring you something small (like a drink or snack) later on without saying why
you both know it’s another way of him showing how grateful he is for you
surprisingly more compliant with you now
understands that if he doesn’t heal, he can’t protect the people he cares for
will sit on his desk, legs swinging slightly, watching you work with a tired but softened expression
more efficient and more scarred
doesn’t just have cuts, he has deep bruises
there are times where he’s emotionally harder to reach
during these times, you have to talk firmly and eventually he listens
when you confront him about his injuries (again), he initially deflects with logic, “It’s just physics.”
will reach out and lightly tap your chin to make you look at him (does this to show that he’s still living and breathing)
tries to downplay the pain
doesn’t flinch anymore when you clean his wounds
his eyes stay on you: heavy, but present
when you’re especially gentle, his breathing changes slightly
if your fingers brush against a bruised area, his hand lifts to grip your sleeve
he sits beside you in a comfortable silence afterwards
pretends it doesn't hurt and makes jokes the entire time, "Wow, are you trying to kill me with that antiseptic?"
the moment you accidentally press too hard, he hisses and immediately goes quiet
used to being the protector, so being the one who's hurt and vulnerable feels foreign to him
watches your expression more than anything; your reactions matter more to him than the pain
if you look worried, he'll soften instantly, "Hey, I'm okay. Really."
casually throws his arm around you while you're cleaning him up like it's nothing
his hands are usually bruised and swollen
so he rests them heavily on your knees as you work
will whimper dramatically when you clean his wounds, not because it actually hurts that much, but because he loves the way you get concerned and blow on his cut to cool it down
the longer you tend to his injuries, his voice becomes quieter and quieter
absolutely melts when you're finished (full puppy energy)
might rest his head on your should "Just for a moment."
if you get upset, he'll gently grab your wrist and reassure you, "I'll be more careful. Promise." (you both know he won't fully keep it)
he'll catch the stray tear with his thumb and apologize honestly
ends up pulling you onto his lap or onto the sofa with him
he'll fall asleep almost isntantly once he knows you're safe and nearby, his head heavy on your shoulder
not used to someone caring for him like this
his emotional wounds are deeper than the physical ones
treats the first aid kit like it's a countdown to you leaving him
he's stiff and awkward at first (incredibly twitchy)
keeps saying "You don't have to do this," but doesn't actually stop you
watches you with this quiet, almost disbelieving expression (like he's waiting for you to get annoyed and leave)
you're gentle, and he gets quieter and quieter
if you softly ask, "Does this hurt?" he'll hesitate before answering honestly (which is a big deal to him)
every time the gauze touches his skin, he flinches out of reflex from being handled roughly in the past
you move very slowly, narrating what you're doing so you don't startle him
apologizes randomly, "Sorry... for worrying you." even if he did nothing wrong
you find yourself having to stop cleaning just to hold his face in your hands and make him look at you
you reassure him, "I care about you, that's why I'm here." he'll look away because it hits too hard
after, he lingers in the doorway when you pack up
doesn't want to leave and doesn't know how to ask to stay with you
you initiate something small (holding his hand, brushing his hair out of his face), he freezes and very carefully leans into your touch
asks if you can stay "Just for five more mintues." to watch a show or sit in silence
needs the physical proof that he hasn't driven you away
high energy and restless, can’t sit still for more than thirty seconds
tries to control the mood first, already smiling and talking, “You should see the other guy.”
it’s an automatic defense mechanism
when you don’t and quietly say his name, his smile falters
keeps trying to show his cool moves from the fight while tending to his wounds (you have to literally grab his wrist and pin it to the table to get him to stop moving)
you touch his face to tilt it toward the light, and he freezes because of how gentle you’re being
his eyes flicker between yours like he’s trying to read your emotions
will go bright red and stammer, suddenly very aware of how close you are
tries to keep joking while you clean his injury, but it comes out softer and slower, “…you’re kinda scary like this, you know?”
when it stings badly, his hand instinctively grabs your wrist to ground himself and he doesn’t let go right away
if you scold him, he doesn’t argue; he just exhales and looks away with a tightened jaw
after you finish, there’s a rare, quiet moment where he doesn’t move, “Stay a bit…”
walks you home after, even if he’s clearly in pain
will hold and flex his hand, giving you a huge, toothy grin
boasts about how he “didn’t even feel it,” then immediately wince when you poke the bandage to mess with him
used to being the one doing the protecting, so being mothered makes him feel itchy
doesn’t sugarcoat anything, very matter-of-fact, “It’s deep. I’ll need stitches if it opens more.”
but he comes to you anyway (which is the important part)
won’t pull away from you either
sits down without being told and rolls up his sleeve/adjusts himself so you can work more easily
grumbles under his breath the whole time, complaining that “it’s just a scratch” and that you’re “making a big deal out of nothing”
already thinking about efficiency
when you clean the wound, he doesn’t flinch, but his jaw tightens
likes watching you, tracking your expressions and making sure you’re not overwhelmed
when he’s not watching you, he’ll look everywhere but at you, at the ceiling, the floor, or the wall to hide the fact that he’s blushing
if you get frustrated or worried, he steps in to quietly reassure you, “I’ve had worse.”
when you scold him, he just nods and accepts it fully with no excuses
afterward, he checks your hands, “You got blood on you,” and cleans it off gently, returning the care without making it a big deal
if you tell him to be more careful because you “can’t stand seeing him hurt,” he’ll go quiet, simply humming and muttering as a response
but for the rest of the week, he'll noticeably be less reckless
feels guilty that he wasn’t useful enough to prevent the fight in the first place
the moment you see him, he’s already apologizing, “I didn’t mean for it to get like that…”
shoulders slightly hunched, like he’s bracing for disappointment
when you guide him to sit, he obeys instantly with no resistance
flinches before you even touch him from habit
you narrate everything softly, and he nods every time
while you’re cleaning a scrape on his forehead, he might get a bit teary-eyed, relieved that he has someone to care for him
the first time you ask, “Does this hurt?” and genuinely wait for his answer, he hesitates… then nods (honestly is big for him)
his eyes stay on your hands the whole time
tries to help you, handing you the tape and the ointment before you even ask for it
very gentle, almost afraid his own injuries bother you
needs constant verbal reassurance that he did a good job in the fight that caused these injuries
looks down quickly, blinking a little too fast when you praise him
if you wipe away blood from near his lip or cheek, he’ll freeze
any extreme level of closeness is unfamiliar, but he likes it coming from you and doesn’t pull away
doesn’t get up right away once you’ve finished, “Can I… stay here a bit?”
he relaxes for the first time that night when you say yes
will promise to work out harder so you don’t have to waste so many bandages next time
