Hidden object games are a fascinating demonstration of the arbitrariness of genre as a marketing tool because sometimes a game with "hidden object" on the cover is basically a digital version of Where's Waldo, and sometimes a game with "hidden object" on the cover is a full-featured point and click adventure game that just doesn't call itself that because its target audience is your middle-aged mom and the phrase "adventure game" doesn't sell for that demographic, and there's absolutely no way to predict from looking at the promotional material which of those it's going to be.
And then every few years the games industry goes "ADVENTURE GAMES ARE DEAD AND HAVE BEEN SINCE THE 90S AND NO ONE HAS MADE ONE IN YEARS! LOOK AT WHAT A STRANGE RETURN TO FORM OUTLIER THIS ONE THING WE'RE RELEASING IS."
Yeah, it's long been my contention that the preponderance of evidence suggests point and click adventure games never really "died" – they just became persona non grata with the gaming industry's promotional apparatus because because their player demographics started to skew strongly female for various reasons, and to this day the industry remains allergic to acknowledging that women play games.
that goddamned anti-vaping commercial keeps coming on every day and all that goes through my mind when hearing 'formaldehyde' is this fucker
Just finished the 9 Clues HOPA duology
The only 9 clues tumblr post in existence 💔
But I don't blame Helen cuz the snake mayor dude was weird asf. He couldn't make it more cartoonishly obvious that he was the villain all along. And Owen was just some dude on vacation (Not exactly)
the concept of bruce having never held any one of his kids when they were a baby 💔
3 beautiful divas 👑
Bonus!
FORCE GHOST ANAKIN WATCHING OVER AHSOKA AND LOOKING SO PROUD OF HER I’M GOING TO CRY
friendly reminder they were only 19 and 14 respectively, when the clone wars started
I hate when people make tragedy all about romantic love. WHAT ABOUT TRAGIC SIBLINGS? TRAGIC FRIENDSHIPS? TRAGIC FAMILIES?
anakin still watching over ahsoka even as a force ghost makes so much sense that’s so in character like THAT’S anakin skywalker that recorded 2000 holos for ahsoka in his free time that’s the anakin that trained her to survive even himself
I want a fic where the batkids call bruce mom. Whether its a joke, or because he acts more like a mom than a dad, or because mpreg and somehow he gave birth to them. Give me all the mom!bruce fics or the tags to search on ao3.
Imagine if you will that Bruce steers into the rumour of him birthing the Robins in order to cover up for doing things outside the League or to explain long absences or when one of the kids has to take on the cowl for long period of time.
Hal and Barry are at the Watchtower when Bats comes in, looking like sit and the next thing they know, they're holding back the cowl while Bruce throws up (I can practically hear Pedro Pascal's "hold my hair" line from The Bubble when I think of this scene) and they think, shit he's pregnant again because they have seen this interview but in reality, Bruce has escaped the Manor to come to work when he has a really bad stomach virus. When Diana comes back to the Watchtower, she finds a passed out Batman and Hal and Barry asking the computer what to do, "I can't deliver a baby" wails Barry while Diana needs to sit down because she's just popped a rib.
Commissioner Gordon getting mad when Batman doesn't respond to the signal and asking him where the hell he went for two weeks and Batman just moves aside to reveal a new Robin, either Jason or Steph or Tim, who waves a little and Gordon is like "ohhh, um, congrats". Then dialing up Mrs Gordon and asking her to find a card or something.
Clark swings by the Manor because Dick has been covering for Batman for two weeks which would be OK but the other League Members are beginning to notice - he said good morning to Hal and Oliver. Clark is of course worried but finds Bruce at home, laid up on the couch with a broken leg. He actually had a skiing accident this time but tells Clark that he can't tell them what actually happened, to make something up. Clark immediately blanks when asked and blurts out that Batman has gotten pregnant again and they won't see him for a few weeks. Then Clark is overheard on the phone talking to Lois about newborn Jon, telling her that he's doing the nightfeeds when he gets home and "you get some sleep, honey". Bruce is not present so the League makes assumptions. They're in the middle of some fight and Batman is "busy with a case" and they actually could have used him so Oliver just yells at Clark "to keep it in his pants next time".
Bruce meeting with the League's HR Department - I know they have one, I heard it in a dream - and the HR manager is talking about annual leave but Bruce doesn't get the necessary amount of time off to deal with Bruce Wayne-centric things or sonething to do with the kids. And then Damian pops up and he's knocking on HR's door and asking for a few weeks maternity leave. HR doesn't question it because that's a lawsuit waiting to happen.
Gothamites aren't 100% sure the Bat is human. They definitely think he's built different, I mean the guy gets battered on a daily basis and have you seen him move? Definitely something different there. It's semi confirmed by the Robins, or so the papers think.
Reporter: How did you become Robin?
Jason: I don't know? The natural way?
Years later, reporter: How did you become Robin?
Damian, offended by the idea: I'm Batman's son.
Gotham takes that as confirmation that Batman isn't human, that Batman fathered his Robins and they are his young. Because none of those little fuckers are 100% human. And when Batman is asked about it, he just looks confused and when a reporter apologises he just shakes his head, "No, it's just, I'm actually their mother." The reporter just blinks as Batman continues, "I gave birth to each and every Robin."

“Mom!”
“What?”
“Mom!”
Bruce raised an eyebrow but didn’t look away from his laptop. “What?”
“MOM!”
“WHAT?” Bruce shouted back, finally closing his laptop after figuring out he wasn’t going to get any more work done for the day.
Bruce peaked his head out of his study and sighed when he saw Tim motioning for him to follow him. “Tim I swear if someone’s bleeding out again-“
“Ugh no! Will you let that go already?” Tim rolled his eyes and tugged on Bruce’s arms, dragging him into the kitchen.
“Can I eat this?” Tim opened the fridge and pointed at a box of sushi in the fridge.
“What? No, that’s yours brother’s.” Bruce shook his head, wondering if this was all that Tim called him for.
“Yeah… but it’s been in here for an hour. I don’t think Dick’s coming back for it Dad.” Tim said, hands reaching for the box, licking his lips like a cartoon villain.
Bruce lightly smacked Tim’s hands away and closed the fridge. “Stop that. You know Dick would kill you. Go find something else to eat.”
“But there’s nothing!” Tim whined, dramatically throwing himself on a counter and dragging his upper half around like a child. “Can I order sushi then?”
“No, especially after you and Stephanie misappropriated your bank account for that prank last week? That’s funny, make a sandwich.” Bruce chuckled softly, ruffling Tim’s already messy hair and stopping himself from bursting out laughing as Tim grumbled and tried to slap his hand away.
Bruce left the kitchen with Tim still trying to bargain. “If you eat the sushi I’ll tell your brother it was you!” Bruce called out, his only response and offended and betrayed shout of ‘Mom’.
Bruce Wayne is his children's mother. He carried and birthed each and every one of those babies. How do I know this? Look at this panel, look at this reciept.
This is how a mother stands.
Funniest thing is that man doesn't even know to this day how much he excudes maternal energy in cowl when he needs to because no one helped him realise
"MOM" Nightwings voice screamed through the Watchtower as the Justice League was having a debrief meeting of the last mission
And soon enough Nightwing, in all his black and blue glory stromped into the meeting room with Robin right behind him
"mom tell Robin to stop being annoying" Nightwing demanded, acting more like a child than the adult vigilante that he was
"no mom tell Nightwing to stop being a stubborn asshole" Robin stomped his foot
"language" Batman growled at the younger vigilante (side kick actually but who's keeping track of it)
Batman then sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose before looking back to at his sons
"what are you two arguing about now?"
Nightwing opened his mouth but before he could say anything Robin cut him off
"he's not letting me go on patrols with him anymore"
"because I don't want to be stuck as your baby sitter"
"i can handle myself just fine!"
"says a kid that slipped and almost fell to his death just last week"
"i was doing perfectly fine before you started your yap session, your annoying voice distracted me"
Nightwing gasped, clearly offended
"how dare you, my voice is perfectly fine"
As the two argued Batman was clearly losing his patiance, it wasn't long before he eventually lost it
"QUIET!" Batman yelled making both Robin and Nightwing immediately stop fighting and straighten their backs "both of you stop arguing and go back to the cave, we'll continue that conversation there. Do I make myself clear?"
"yes mom sorry mom" both of the birds said at the same time and immediately left the meeting room, probably to go to the zeta tubes
When they were gone Batman turned his attention back to the Justice League
"now where were we?"
The other heroes couldn't do anything else other than stare in disbelief on what just happened in front of them
