I made a few dragon friendos for some of my friends during the last few months! They’ll be flying off to join them soon, but for now they’re snuggling by the fire with a few good books. #crochet #crafts #dragons https://www.instagram.com/p/CKUOm22lG3T/?igshid=1f06rt4k6kqo7
I finished my gloves last week and forgot to share them! How dare I. And yes, wearing gloves in this weather is really too hot. #knitting (at Bristol, United Kingdom) https://www.instagram.com/p/CDt0iAnHHQj/?igshid=168obm8sqjyqm
So you want to make something with scales too? Well you're in the right place!
GUYS I’VE FOUND A VERY IMPORTANT WEBSITE FOR PEOPLE WHO CAN KNIT WITHOUT INJURING THEMSELVES!!!!
DRAGON KNITTING!!!
@rannadylin if you’re into that
@tinsnip ?
@systlin
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Does ANYONE know of a lace shawl pattern (knit or crochet) that looks like ACTUAL wings?
Because ‘angel wing shawl’ is apparently a type of pattern or shawl so it’s giving me nothing, and bird wing turned up the same?
Sea Dragon Shawl by Ambah O'Brien on ravelry is a winged Shawl that creates breaks to give you a dragon wing feel. It’s pretty adjustable as far as size is considered and it’s rather awesome spread out. I Knit this in lace weight held double, but you can knit is held singly, you’d just need some math for guage and size. It’s also garter stitch save for the ‘bones’ which are stockinette. Knit the below pic in 2015 for @striving-artist it took 20 hours to complete max and blocked like a dream.

and its amazing and people compliment it all the damn time!
As it happens, there are a couple.Â
This one is like ‘angel wings’. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/be-my-angel
This one is more pointed. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/edvige
This sweater has ‘wings’ on the back. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/alatus
Here’s a butterfly. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/just-a-butterfly
I include this one, not because it looks like wings, but because it’s beautiful. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/wingspan-2
With a little change, this could be wings. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/little-perfect-one
Definitely dragon wings. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/dragons-rest-shawl
Fair isle wings. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/give-it-wings
More dragon wings. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/dragon-wings-shawl-3
Double knit wings, very fancy. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/25-winged-triangle-shawl
Another fair isle chart. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/angel-wings-chart
More double knit wings. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/forest-dragon-wings-mkal
Now go and knit!
This: Wings of Peace Shawl by Renate Haeckler is a free download pattern! It’s worsted-weight, so it won’t take forever to knit. Unfortunately, it’s also entirely uncharted? If you like written lace patterns and feathers, this is a great one.
I love literally every single one of you and never expected to get so many responses. I cant wait to go through all of these 💖

@thesecondsealwrites
I want these so much. *gives them to all her characters*
I made another thing! This is Garry from the rpg horror game Ib, and I am just stupidly happy with how his hair turned out; I am terrible at hair. I might try to make Ib or Mary at some point soon, but I haven’t decided yet… Thanks to Vilma Ilona for the base pattern (Sherlock)!
I don't think my first attempt at crochet turned out too badly... What do you guys think? Would anyone be interested in buying one? Thanks again to Lucy Collin for the pattern!
So, this week, I thought I’d give myself a challenge! Before last week, I have never used crochet before, and I am absolutely THRILLED by the end result!
Say hello to Totoro!
Thank you so much to Lucy Collin/LucyRavenscar for posting the pattern on Ravelry!
Mmmmm….Celtic knots + free knitting patterns = delicious. Here are some of my favorites from Ravelry:
Celtic Myths (also available in fingering weight) // Nennir // Traveling Cable Hand Warmers // Durrow // Traveling Stitch Legwarmers // Celtic Cable Slouchy
*heart eyes*
Nennir was a good project for my first cowl. Those leg warmers though, yowzah!
I…have actually contemplated knitting those legwarmers.
Any month is always a good month for Celtic knots, but if you really need an excuse, it’s March, so knock yourself out!
These look like great fun to try out!
I made one of these for a friend some time ago, as a surprise present, and enjoyed the challenge so much that I decided to make another! That’s right folks, I made a John Watson jumper (as seen in the Study in Pink episode of Sherlock)! It took me a while, but I can definitely say that it’s nice and toasty - it was pretty cold outside during this photo shoot.
It’s not quite on etsy yet, but it will be soon! When it is, I will post a link.
I have officially uploaded the jumper on etsy! If anyone would like to look, you can find it here.

Examples of some of the scarves I've made, all of which are on sale now on my etsy page; Hazelknit.
@angry-muggle-lord's commission of a Doctor Watson scarf from Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, a 12' Doctor Who Scarf, and a personal project of a Newt Scamander Hufflepuff scarf (though extra long).

It's official! I have items on my etsy page! Yay! I have 5 items up at the moment, but I will probably be selling more at a later date.
Sorry for the state of the page, it's still a work in progress, but I will be updating it soon.
Side project for a friend; a Bloody Stupid Johnson hat (inspired by a character of the same name in Terry Pratchett’s novels)! I’ve made one once before, but it’s always a fun challenge. If you’d like to have a go yourself, you can find the pattern here.
Hello all, and welcome to my page of knitwear, knit craft and general project display for all my wool made menagerie! On this page I will be showing you all what I like to make, commissions to curiosities, and the items I use in their crafting. Wool, felt, cotton and all, I hope to show you one of the things I love to do. I thought I’d start on my current project, a commission for @angry-muggle-lord, a scarf made with thick Aran wool. I look forward to sharing more with you all! Hazelknit
Meant to post it here first, but a phone is a fickle thing…
