Whenever I see people say that Prodigal Son is just like this or that show specifically because “a murderer works with the police to solve crimes” I know for a fact that they didn’t even try to actually watch the show because if you had you would know that Martin doesn’t help the police with shit (even performatively). His role in the story is to be a menace and a narcissistic abuser, he isn’t helping anyone with anything. They just say that he works with the police because that’s the tagline for the show to lure people in and that’s also what Malcolm thinks of himself, that he is nothing without his father because that’s what Martin does to him. The most Martin contributes is occasional niche facts and psychological torture. He is the physical representation of Malcolm’s childhood and active trauma, he isn’t helping anyone with anything especially not the police

more people need to realize and utilize how fucking INSANE spencer reid is. he killed someone for the first time like two weeks after he turned 24. he killed a guy that kidnapped and tortured him and then stole hard drugs off his dead body. then he continued to do said hard drugs for at least two months while working as an active field agent. he's so good at rambling that he actually managed to distract a serial killer from killing him once. this guy rocked up to his father, who he hadn’t seen in 18 years fyi, and accused him of molesting and murdering a toddler. he had anthrax poisoning once. all of this before he turned 30 btw. character of all time fr
