You know what’s some crazy $hit?
This fabulous bitch
She makes a shit ton of poses (like 16,000 or some crazy nonsense). I used this lovely lady to draw so much as a teen. Whether it was some nerdy pose for my Mary Sue as fuck OCs
or for full on fight sequences
or for tragic deaths of my OCs in the arms of a totally OOC main protagonist.
this chick hooked me up.
And with the wildest, craziest stuff that you could see in your head but had no way or resources to reasonably draw like
or this
or this
DUDE! INASNE SHIT!! So I was using her for a pose reference and decided, you know what, I owe this chick some cash. Lemme dole it out for her. BUT then, I looked and saw she only has 286 fucking patrons!! This chick gives out free shit and spends countless hours arranging these shoots and setting this stuff up.
I’ll fork up the cash, SenshiStock. You’re worth it.
Check out this amazing woman’s stuff, and get knowledged: https://www.deviantart.com/senshistock

What I liked about Bucky and Sam’s various conflicts in episode 2 was that no one was really the villain. They disagreed, and had somewhat dubious and irrational thought processes (particularly Bucky re: the shield and projecting his own issues onto Sam), but both of their feelings and actions were human, valid and understandable, and were portrayed as such.
Bucky views the shield as the last part of Steve Rogers they have left; and in his eyes, Sam took Steve’s legacy and Steve’s last wishes and tossed them aside, letting it inadvertently fall into the hands of someone who is undeserving of it. He’s still mourning Steve, and trying to find his own self-worth beyond what Steve thought of him, and both the shield and Steve’s decisions being respected play a huge role in that. His perspective is largely understandable and very human.
But what Bucky doesn’t really understand because of his background is the racial aspect that exists for Sam, which never existed for Steve. For Bucky, this whole argument is equivalent to whether you clear out your dead husband’s closet so you can move on, or preserve all his clothes out of respect for his memory. It’s whether you sell the business your family has had for generations when your parents die because you want to lead your own life and make your own choices, or you keep it running regardless because you don’t want to destroy their legacy.
For Sam, it’s so much more than this. He has a deeply complex relationship with patriotism, the government, his own status as a hero, and everything the shield represents that is firmly based on race and his own experience as a black man. As a white man (from the 40′s no less), Bucky simply does not understand Sam’s dilemma. He’s come straight from the Jim Crow era of utterly pervasive, explicit, normalised racism; bypassed the entire Civil Right movement and decades of conversations about race; and landed in an era with a recent black president and nuanced conversation about microagressions, racial profiling and systemic racism. He’s going to need to put some work in to really understand the depths of Sam’s reservations of the shield; but if he does that, he will eventually recognise the true weight and consequences of the shield for Sam, and why he felt he had to give it up. Sam only ever made choices that were best for both himself and Steve’s legacy, and once Bucky gets out of his head he’ll see that too.
Moving onto Isaiah, again, both sides of their disagreement are completely understandable.
With the exception of a brief conversation with Rhodey, Sam is very much alone grappling with the concept of being a black superhero. And on top of that, they’re dealing with a group of mysteriously enhanced individuals, and a government owned Captain America. Why would Bucky not tell him about a black governmental super soldier, something highly relevant to all parts of their situation? Had he known of the existence of Isaiah, he likely would never have given the shield away, and he likely wouldn’t have been taking on contracts for the very government that treated Isaiah this way.
But at the same time, Bucky has lived the life Isaiah describes; constant fighting, control, capture, imprisonment, torture and experimentation. He knows that all he wants now, as an old soldier finally granted freedom, is peace and the chance to move on and rebuild his life. Why would he deny Isaiah that goal by making his existence known? Why would he put this man who has suffered so much in even more danger and turmoil? Why would he risk him being recaptured, or his family endangered, or his fragile peace shattered? Bucky didn’t tell Steve because he knew the knowledge that a man’s life had been ruined in the pursuit of a replacement him would break him. And if he didn’t tell Steve, why on earth would he tell Sam, a man he barely knows, and has little to no contact with, especially when he didn’t actually know that Sam was conflicted about the shield and thinking of giving it up? Why would he tell anyone when the result would undoubtedly by dire and dangerous for Isaiah, who has been through enough?
Anyway, I guess my point is that this was a lesson in how to have your main characters disagree without actually pitting them against each other or vilifying one of them, and most importantly, without forcing the audience to chose sides or fight amongst themselves. You can portray conflicting perspectives of characters and overly emotional/irrational thought processes while still respecting those feelings as valid, and it was expertly done here. I think anyone vilifying one or the other or demanding apologies after this episode is really missing the point. This is not the show to watch if you want two-dimensional, morally flawless characters who always feel the “right” things - this is a show about profoundly human heroes.
#ok damn bc this entire post is not only correct #it also reads as a perfect indictment of everything the mcu did wrong with civil war (tags from @xcziel)
I hadn’t even considered that, but you’re completely correct. Malcolm Spellman’s writing and handling of conflict between the main characters is pretty much the antithesis of how M&M and the Russo’s handled it in Civil War. Where Malcolm’s intent is to show how conflict is a necessary step in reconciling different perspectives and building a relationship (”if we hash out our issues we can actually figure out where the other person is coming from and overcome our differences”), Civil War was conflict for conflict’s sake.
Civil War just never put the effort into exploring the motivations or feelings of any of the characters, especially everyone who wasn’t Tony or Steve. Even Tony’s motivations were confusing and hypocritical - his side could (?) have been understandable, if we had actually seen the devastation in Sokovia and Lagos in any detail, and we saw him experience guilt for his role in the creation of Ultron and WMD’s. Instead, he just deflected the problem onto everyone else and took zero responsibility, and I will never understand why the Russo’s chose to depict one of their main characters so unsympathetically in a story where you are supposed to be torn between two ‘valid’ viewpoints. While Sam and Bucky’s viewpoints are both understandable in TFATWS, Civil War’s conflict basically boiled down to “Let the government own superheroes, stop them actually helping people and imprison them for life without trial vs …don’t do that”. We were told, repeatedly, that these were both perfectly reasonable perspectives. But they just… aren’t, and we weren’t given enough emotional insight into the character’s decisions to justify them.
The Accords and the actual consequences of them are barely mentioned after the start of the movie. It’s unclear whether some of the characters in the airport scene even know about them, let alone understand the full extent of what would happen to them if they pass. Some of the choices made (particularly Natasha’s) were so wildly OOC and hypocritical, it was like they had never actually seen a Marvel movie before. Most characters just felt like chess pieces to moved around a big fight scenes, rather than fully fleshed out individuals.
This is mainly, in my opinion, because the conflict between them was never character driven or even story driven - it was profit driven. They wanted to copy the Batman v Superman concept because people were excited by it, and they saw dollar signs.
“ …After they [Warner Bros.] announced ‘Batman v Superman,’ [Kevin Feige] said, ‘you guys are absolutely right.’ We needed to do something challenging with the material or we were going to start to lose the audience,” Russo said.
The entire “Which team are you?” and “Pick a side!” marketing has resulted in intense fandom toxicity and infighting which remains to this day, five years later. And it really did feel like the marketing stunts were planned first, and then a movie was written to fit around them, rather than the other way round. The conflict felt hollow and forced, because it was.
all these along with comments are great points and spot on 👏 I also feel like when steve handed sam the shield that moment bucky agreed cause he knows sam is a good man not the perfect soldier that do what govt want and not be there puppet. sam has flaws as every men out there but he is a good man at heart. the new cap is a govt puppet. throughout the whole episode 2 all he talks about is the govt and they own that and they do this etc nothing from his own mouth or mind. hes their perfect soldier and they can use that to get to the public and people.
and civil war movie it could have been more into depth if the russo brothers know how to handle that type of conflict. all they did was hype up the battle between two sides and let fans pin against each other trying to justify whose right and whose wrong 😑

summary: As the unofficial healer for the Avengers, you pride yourself on the ability to mend heroes with the touch of your hand. Only, your gift comes at a heavy price — one you keep secret from your friends —and when Bucky asks you to do the impossible, they’ll discover why your gift is called a sacrifice, too. pairing: bucky x healer!reader word count: 10k warnings: canon level violence
As a child, you were told it was a gift; placed upon a pedestal above the quaint suffering of a rural town and removed of your innocence for the good of strangers. You’d been made to be revered – honored – for the touch that could mend the broken.
It began with a cut upon your father’s finger – a slip of a kitchen knife that had left a small bead of blood in its wake. Curious eyes glanced up at your father as he hissed at the sting of it and you’d reach forward to place your infant hand upon the cut, a grip so mall it barely wrapped around his finger. He stilled as a soft glow began to emit from your palm. When you removed your hand and began to cry, your father was stunned to find his skin perfectly intact – no trace of a scar in its place.
They told you it was a gift, celebrated you as if you were a blessing from Heaven itself. But they were cruel in their rejoice, selfish in their praise. They had not considered your gift was not a gift at all – but a sacrifice.
Like energy, pain could not be destroyed— but it could be absorbed. It could be transferred. Your father’s cut had not simply disappeared, but instead manifested on the finger of an infant for a few short moments before it faded into your skin; laid to rest amongst a sea of foreign injuries that did not belong to you.

There is a reason for this though!
The original tweet summarizes it pretty well. Fanfic tends to be popular among certain types of neurodivergent people (aka people most likely to read excessively as a child, and have burnout as an adult) for the same reasons that we tend to hyperfixate–neurochemical signaling (I hope I’m using that phrase correctly). What I mean is, for people who are really dependent on changes in dopamine/serotonin/neurotransmitter levels, who have low levels or wonky neural reward systems (perhaps the most common types of neurodivergence)…people like us rely on dependable external sources of those neurochemicals. In order to function, we spend a lot of our free time trying to level out our brain chemistry using things that can reliably bring us a steady stream of joyful moments (rewards) without costing too much of the mental effort that is already in short supply.
significantly: the investment of reading has to be balanced with a steady “return on investment”–and this return has to start fairly quickly. because again, we don’t have a lot of attention/energy to invest on tiring things. we have perpetual “low batteries” in that regard.
that doesn’t mean these stories are “simple,” or that they lack complexity or value–only that the reward has to come in short regular intervals, and it has to have a low “upfront cost.” these stories are only “easy” to read in the sense that the effort we put into them is rewarded in a timely manner. which is why fanfic stories are so perfectly formulated for neurodivergent readers–they are often beautifully written, but skip a lot of the upfront costs (of introducing new characters, of world-building, of getting the audience emotionally connected to the story elements).
the nature of fanfiction is that the reader has a pre-existing relationship with this world and these characters. that–combined with the shorter average length of fics–means that fan fics very quickly start rewarding the reader in a way that traditional fiction struggles to. that’s not a bad thing! and maybe it’s something more traditionally published writers should be paying attention to.
Fanfic, as a genre, has been uniquely helpful and accessible to many neurodivergent readers who would otherwise struggle to immerse themselves in stories. I’m glad so many of you have found a way to love and enjoy reading again! The important thing is that you are spending time inside stories you love–the way those stories are published or presented to the world is just one detail. The fact that you find joy in the process of reading (or listening!) to stories–that is what matters.
fictional kiss things that end me
being unable to open their eyes for a few moments afterward
one small kiss, pulling away for an instant, then devouring each other
pressing their foreheads together while kissing
speaking normally, then after the kiss their voice is hoarse
guys furrowing their brow when kissing passionately
staring at the other’s lips, trying not to kiss them, before giving in
running their thumb over the other’s lips
when they lean forward a fraction as if to kiss the other person, then realize they shouldn’t and pull back to stop themselves
ripping the other away - “no we shouldn’t” - but when they kiss them again they moan and hold them close
one sliding their hand into the other’s hair slowly
their entire body freezing for a second when their love kisses them
accidentally being forced inches apart from each other, staring at each other’s lips, and just before they kiss someone pulls them back apart
when one stops the kiss to whisper “I’m sorry, are you sure you-” and they answer by kissing them more
a hoarse whisper “kiss me”
then licks their lips and says “please”
Also:
following the kiss with a series of kisses up to suckle an earlobe
following the kiss with a series of kisses down the neck
lightly running the very tip of the tongue around the outline of the lips with darting touches before actually kissing
raking a hand through the hair and getting a good handful to pull the other person closer (before or during the kiss)
starting with a kiss meant to be gentle, ending up in devout passion
softly moaning into the kiss
smiling just before or during the kiss
kissing tears away
kissing at laughlines/crow’s feet/frownlines
kissing pouty lips
lightly running fingers up along the neck while kissing
bringing up the hands to cup the other person’s face while kissing
slowly letting their fingers twine together while kissing softly
a huge smile on face(s) when the kiss ends
a gentle “i love you” whispered after a soft kiss, followed immediately by a stronger kiss
…. I like fictional kisses, mk?
also: •jawline kisses •when someone kisses the other person’s hand(s) •shoulder kisses •cheek kisses •when one person’s face is scrunched up, and the other one kisses their lips/nose/forehead •that thing where someone turns into an unexpected kiss, like there were turning around and the other person was just super close •accidental kisses that turn into a giggling fit •kissing eyelids to show reverence •top of head kisses •when one person says “move away if you don’t want this” and the other person moves in for the kiss •height difference kisses where one person has to bend do wn and the other is on their tippy toes •kisses where one person is sitting in the other’s lap •awkward fumbling kisses where their both so excited that it’s sloppy and teeth clash •kisses where a person punctuates every word with a chaste kiss •kisses meant to distract the other person from whatever they were intently doing •KISSES
breaking the kiss to say something, staying so close that you’re murmuring into each other’s mouths
moving around while kissing, stumbling over things, pushing each other back against the wall/onto the bed
hands in each others’ hair
kissing so desperately that their whole body curves into the other person’s
throwing their arms around the other person, holding them close while they kiss
hands on the other person’s back, fingertips pressing under their top, drawing gentle circles against that small strip of bare skin that make them break the kiss with a gasp
lazy morning kisses before they’ve even opened their eyes, still mumbling half-incoherently, not wanting to wake up
routine kisses where the other person presents their cheek/forehead for the hello/goodbye kiss without even looking up from what they’re doing
there is not a single role chris pratt does that jack black couldn’t do better

THE TRAINS HAVE CARTOON TAMAS ON THEM
Sad update everyone, Tama recently passed away… An estimated 3,000 people, including railway officials, attended Tama the cat’s funeral on Sunday, days after she died of heart failure aged 16. [x]
For those who haven’t read articles about it, the local shrine elevated her to a god. She’s now the Eternal Stationmaster and patron god of the station.
Beautiful.
Now I’m crying thanks
and a new cat was hired right?
yep! her name is Nitama (essentially ”second tama” or “tama II”) and she served under Tama as an apprentice before being appointed her deputy
she works very hard
Everytime this crosses my dash, I reblog. It is the law.
I’m crying at 11pm over train cats
Nitama, already now a mature cat (born 2010), has a protege named Yontama (fourth Tama, b. 2016). There is no information available for either the physical befellment or tragic self-disgrace which has removed Santama from contention.
^Nitama majestic, and below with Yontama
Yontama.
a legacy
okay but actually what happened to santama (or sun-tama-tama, which is her name because it’s a pun on santama) was that she was basically sent to train for the position in okayama and they liked her so much they refused to send her back
“Sun-tama-tama” (a pun off of “Santama”, lit. “third Tama”) was a calico cat sent for training in Okayama. Sun-tama-tama was considered as a candidate for Tama’s successor, but the Okayama Public Relations representative who had been caring for Sun-tama-tama refused to give the cat up writing, “I will not let go of this child, she will stay in Okayama.” [25]
As of September 2018, Sun-tama-tama is working as the stationmaster in Naka-ku, Okayama and appears occasionally on Tama’s Twitter account.
Every time I see this post there’s new info and it gets better
You are only allowed to scroll pass this after you pay tribute to the great Tama Station masters.
The shrine of Tama Daimyōjin (Great gracious deity Tama), next to the Kishi station where she worked.
Nitama presenting her yearly offerings to Tama Daimyōjin on the anniversary of Tama’s Death, June 23 (The offerings are presented by the company president, as Nitama is a cat and thus can’t hold the offerings herself) (Not pictured, but also present, Yontama)
you cannot pass without reblogging guys. i’m sorry, i don’t make the rules.
You can’t not reblog a goddess. It’s just what’s so. :)
A new piece I’ve been working on these past few days!
Not a mug this time, but you’ll be seeing them pretty soon! Can’t wait for you to tell me what you think!
Happy weekend! 🍃🌳⚔️💚
Also while I'm at it, here a thought I've been mulling in my head: bucky has touch aversion and the reader is a very physically affectionate person. She's the only one he can stand to touch him 🥺💕
THIS IS A BIT LONG AND I WILL NOT APOLOGISE BECAUSE I WAS INSPIRED
Drabble requests are open!
For many people, touch is something completely natural, something they don't even think about. They don't ponder over shaking hands before a meeting, or hugging their friends in greeting, or kissing their loved one.
For Bucky though, touch was something he instinctively shied away from. He preferred sitting at the kitchen island instead of the dining table, where anyone's knee or foot or shoulder could bump with him. On missions, he usually worked alone, from a distance, with only his rifle to keep him company, while the rest of the team is just a buzz in his ear, and on the way back home, he'd keep to himself in the back of the jet.
This is so cute i love it so much???!!!!!!!
How to feel like a princess
Write letters in cursuve, seal them with wax. Calligraphic pens are always an asset.
Read books outside or next to natural light. Read anything your heart desires, as long as it rests within paper bound in cover.
Always lift your pinkie finger from your cup. Practice this regardless of your drinks container, but a china cup of tea is the most fit for a princess.
Learn how to play chess. You needn't be the winner, you only must be a modest player.
Be kind to animals and talk to them. Whether it be a white rabbit, a bluebird, or just a butterfly landing on a nearby flower bush, you can be their friend.
Daydream and hope. What you want is so close, dear. As long as you believe it is.
Smell the roses you pass as you walk. Smile as if the aroma has lifted away all of your worries and sorrows.
Light lovely candles, and always be the one to blow them out. Matches are preferred, but if you must use a lighter, remember to lift it with grace.
Swoon over statues. Be enchanted by their beauty. Touch the chiseled or marble face and gaze at their eyes, wonder what their story would have been if theyvwere of flesh and bone.
When you look in your full length mirror and love what you see, twirl along your bedroom floor, let your hair, skirt and/or loose jewlery bounce and glide with you.
Explore quaint places like bookstores, bakeries, and antique shops marvel at everything you see.
Always, always, always use self care beauty products. Clear skin, plump lips and shiny hair can go a long way for your confidence.
honestly do yourself a favor and don’t buy apple products. their warranties are a scam, their accessories are shoddy, their repair prices are predatory for the sole purpose of forcing you to buy thousand dollar replacements. the literal only advantage they had was software, and with so many shiny usable windows 10 & android products on the market, that edge is gone.
i used exclusively apple products for 20 years. it took a lot of convincing for me to consider switching: windows had some serious catching up to do. But they did catch up, remarkably so, and apple has been lagging for years. windows 10 laptops are accessible & just as fun & easy to use, there are so many brands, and they come with actual warranties. buy electronics that are designed to be repaired not replaced.
apple is predatory and proprietary and needs to get soundly fucked
WHY DO I FEEL THIS SO HARD? Like I want an all consuming passionate love but how the fuck do I find that?
I loved this quote but – I also just want to say, as someone who’s been in a relationship for 7 years, the all consuming passion naturally fades, and what you have left is devotion and commitment. Not as fervent nor as hot, but comfort and familiarity can be just as wonderful.
You don’t exactly wake up in the morning with your heart in your throat, scrambling for your phone to see if they’ve text you– but your chest does hurt just a little bit when they’re sipping morning coffee and look beautiful next to the open window.
And sometimes when those hand on throat heart in throat thing does come up again, it still hurts in all the most excellent way and feels that much better – that much more comforting than the first time in a way you can’t quite figure out.
