Isn't Hannibal problematic...
no, but i understand the confusion! it's a common misconception, but serial murder and cannibalism are okay in real life.

Let’s imagine for a minute. Imagine that a couple of years after the battle of Hogwarts, Harry Potter does. He dies while working and protecting innocent people. What makes it worse is that Ginny is pregnant with James Sirius. Years later, James Sirius goes to Hogwarts. And who happens to be the potions Professor? Draco Malfoy. James Sirius doesn’t know that Draco knew his father but soon enough, he finds out. Why? Because Draco is obsessed with him. He’s always talking shit about Harry to his son. He talks about all the times Harry ruined his life and bullied him. Then his fifth year at Hogwarts, James Sirius happens to finds Dracos office and just happens to find his pensieve. And he finds Dracos worst memory which happens to be the sectumsempra incident from their 6th year. James Sirius doesn’t know much about his father. But he sees Harry follow Draco to the bathroom. He sees Draco pull a wand on him and then Harry assaults him with dark magic. A terrible spell that makes him bleed all over the bathroom. Now pretend we didn’t read any of the books and all we know about Harry Potter is what Draco Malfoy says and his memory. You’d think Harry’s not a good person. Now I ask you, why do Snape stans hate James so much? Because you saw a single side of him from the biased memories of a man that plays victim and lies for a living? Because I hate Snape due to the books showing various sides to him. And each side is full of cruelty, being a bully, abusing children, and killing innocents. Just saying.
JUNE? what's next, July??? Heaven forbid, August??? When does the nonsense end!!!
i have received some ATROCIOUS news
Please STFU about September that's not a real word

Actual faith vs performative religion.
To shave your beard is a huge sacrifice for a devout Sikh. It is a sacrifice for the greater good, that many people will scoff at without understanding the amount of love it took, to give up part of your faith to serve the greater purpose of that faith. Bless them all.
More Beautiful After Being Broken
What this trite imagery misses out on is the fact that kintsukuroi requires a lot of work to repair a piece like that. It takes a lot of time, a lot of effort, a great deal of investment. Sometimes parts of the original are damaged beyond repair, and you have to instead painstakingly create entirely new ones. It’s still not the same. Maybe it’s something more beautiful. But it’s not the fact that it broke that makes it beautiful. It’s the work put into it. It’s the fact that people made the effort to salvage it, because it was worth salvaging, because it was important enough to salvage. It’s the care that makes the beauty. An apology can’t always fix what has been broken. That doesn’t mean it’s not irreparable, sometimes you can go on to rebuild and repair. But it won’t ever be the same as it was again.
I really appreciate this addition because I’ve always hated the “more beautiful for having been broken” thing. Being broken sucks and I hate all those tragic romantic sensitivities that try to make it what it’s not. These pieces are beautiful because they’re repaired with effort put in to making them shine.
That bowl is NOT more beautiful for having been broken. It’s more beautiful for having been very skillfully repaired.
I couldn’t sleep so I made this.
This is literally one of my favorite posts ever and every time it gets me. The little smile at the end? Groggnar’s sincerity and earnestness when he says “You’re gonna be okay.” I just. I don’t know how or why but this hits my feels every single time i see it. ty op
imo he was being super salty about that tendency guys have to blame their anatomy for their bad choices
it’s like “oh i don’t want to be a creepo but my dick has a mind of its own” “well here’s a scissors fix your life”
or maybe, you know, have some damn respect, and don’t pretend you don’t have a choice of whether to be nasty
i think people have a tendency to take jesus literally when he was actually throwing shade, or to take things in this really smarmy martyrish way when they’re actually pretty snippy
i mean “turn the other cheek” sounds like being a doormat until you picture how it would play out: someone smacks you, and you turn and go “do it again, go on, take a swing buddy, does that make you feel better, do you feel like a winner now?” cuz you know what 90% of the time they will get curled up shame toes and shuffle off
tl;dr: no jesus did not actually want you to take a spoon to your eyeballs for babe watching, he wanted you to take responsibility for how you treat people
All of the actions Jesus told his followers to perform are actually passive-aggressive actions meant to oppose and resist Jerusalem’s Roman colonizers. Like, turning the other cheek is actually a matter of forcing the Roman to either break proper slapping etiquette or to hit you properly- thereby treating you as an equal instead of someone he’s subjugating. If a debtor is taking all your possessions in court, you include the shirt off your back so his greed is causing you to commit public nudity. And when a soldier forces you to carry his equipment (as per the law of the time), you go the extra mile with him- literally carrying his bag beyond the distance that the law stipulates and therefore making the action illegal.
Context matters.
Jesus was a radical, rebellious, snarky twentysomething. Always remember that.
A Jesus post I’m here for.
Canon Jesus is always 100% better than current fanon Jesus
And I mean think about it. Jesus was a millenial. Two thousand years ago, sure, but he was a millenial. Never let bullshit “Christians” tell you otherwise.
I’m not religious but like yeah I get this.
canon jesus is so much better than fanon jesus and i stand by that
A canon character is finally my favorite and I don’t even like the book or religion.

OH GOD GUYS I PROMISE IT WAS A JOKE PLEASE UNDERSTAND THE SARCASM I AM SORRY FOR MY SINS
Snape’s worst memory is getting pantsed at school in front of people with a spell he created.
James worst memory is being killed by one of the darkest wizards in the world and knowing that his wife and son were next
Remus’ worst memory is NOT getting pantsed at school, despite the fact that it happened several times. His worst memory is turning into a blood thirsty monster once a month and tearing his body apart. His worst memory is dying and knowing he’s left his wife a widow and his son fatherless
Sirius’ worst memory is finding the bodies of his best friends and their mutilated son. His worst memory is spending 12 years in prison for a crime he didn’t commit. His worst memory is being tortured for those 12 years by his worst memories.
Please do not ever say Snape was a victim. He pretencious. He was cruel. He was pathetic. He was racist. But he was never a victim.
Hot take: the chapter is called Snape's Worst Memory not because he was being bullied by the marauders, but because it was the moment HE essentially ended his friendship with Lily Evans.
That sounds so pathetic lmfao. Everyone else’s worst memory is actual suffering and people being killed but his was losing Lily’s friendship?? Tragic.
I know! So much of the fandom has built this narrative of 'poor snape being bullied' but he's literally the architect of his own fate. Like we need to feel sorry for boo boo the pseudo-nazi or smth?
IM SCREAMING AHDKFHWKSKS. First of all, this took me out. Second, I love that you said “architect of his own fate” and “boo boo the pseudo nazi”. No printer, just facts!
Startin to get real tired of all this
look me in the eyes and tell me that sirius black and remus lupin weren’t madly in love.
do it.
i dare you.
i did you hoe
guys don’t mind her, she’s a snape stan

THE TRAINS HAVE CARTOON TAMAS ON THEM
Sad update everyone, Tama recently passed away… An estimated 3,000 people, including railway officials, attended Tama the cat’s funeral on Sunday, days after she died of heart failure aged 16. [x]
For those who haven’t read articles about it, the local shrine elevated her to a god. She’s now the Eternal Stationmaster and patron god of the station.
Beautiful.
Now I’m crying thanks
and a new cat was hired right?
yep! her name is Nitama (essentially ”second tama” or “tama II”) and she served under Tama as an apprentice before being appointed her deputy
she works very hard
Everytime this crosses my dash, I reblog. It is the law.
I’m crying at 11pm over train cats
Nitama, already now a mature cat (born 2010), has a protege named Yontama (fourth Tama, b. 2016). There is no information available for either the physical befellment or tragic self-disgrace which has removed Santama from contention.
^Nitama majestic, and below with Yontama
Yontama.
a legacy
okay but actually what happened to santama (or sun-tama-tama, which is her name because it’s a pun on santama) was that she was basically sent to train for the position in okayama and they liked her so much they refused to send her back
“Sun-tama-tama” (a pun off of “Santama”, lit. “third Tama”) was a calico cat sent for training in Okayama. Sun-tama-tama was considered as a candidate for Tama’s successor, but the Okayama Public Relations representative who had been caring for Sun-tama-tama refused to give the cat up writing, “I will not let go of this child, she will stay in Okayama.” [25]
As of September 2018, Sun-tama-tama is working as the stationmaster in Naka-ku, Okayama and appears occasionally on Tama’s Twitter account.
Every time I see this post there’s new info and it gets better
You are only allowed to scroll pass this after you pay tribute to the great Tama Station masters.
