I made a lil recap design based on the animated Eurovision hearts I posted last month and wanted to play around with it, so here's a top 20 of this year's entries! Honestly, despite this covering over half of this year's entries, I still love all these songs and can't wait to see them on the Liverpool stage. Thoughts on both the design and how much you hate my music taste are super appreciated.

This result is interesting to me. Normally after Sanremo the twitter fandom have got themselves to about 50% Yes (regardless of whether they've indeed Heard It or not) and are usually coalescing around one or two front runners.
We've definitely heard at least 15 of the potential songs competing in ESC 2023.
I've also seen two channels that I follow doing 'have you heard it yet?' engagements on insta (although I've got no idea if anyone is doing it on twitter so maybe there are more, idk, idk if i even want to know). It is nice to think that maybe I've started something that people find a useful way of assessing the selection season?

This season is really starting to shape up.
Inspired by the recent rumours of Universal rebuying PortAventura, here's how I imagine the Polynesian area could look after a Jurassic World retheme. The current Tutuki Splash boat ride remains with a new theming package, while the SeaOdyssey building and adjoining restaurant make way for a clone of Beijing's dark ride. One of the show locations remains while the bird show arena becomes a very different type of aviary, complete with a play area and the entrance to a Vekoma flying coaster! A few other details include a Hammond's restaurant where the canoes currently sit and a revamp to the shops and stalls just out of frame up by SesamoAventura.

You guys have orange juice at least, right? Grapefruit juice? In the US, Lemonade is a juice, like orange juice, but made with lemons instead of oranges. You can buy “fresh squeezed lemonade” at many restaurants and fast food venues. Typically it’s diluted a bit with sugar water, so the sour flavor of the raw lemon juice isn’t so overpowering.
In the south, it’s very common for people buy whole lemons and make their own lemonade at home using a citrus juicer.
In Germany, you’d ask for “Limonade” and yeah, you may get a Sprite or a Fanta; it’ll always be a fizzy nonalcoholic drink and usually come in lemon, lime, orange flavor. Only in healthfood or hipster establishments would it ever be an actual juice drink.
As a fan of homemade rosewater lemonade, I am twitching at the thought of sickly sweet carbonated beverages that taste like they were invented by someone who may have been in the same room as a citrus fruit once but can’t remember what it actually tastes like being called lemonade.

This is so epically disturbing. Lemonade is such an integral part of spring and summertime. I just … this breaks my brain and my heart. The cultural references too. Just, all the American shows that reference lemonade and people in other countries are thinking Sprite? There’s a reason kids do freshly squeezed lemonade stands. You can’t buy it like that from a store. And there’s nothing quite like screwing it up and getting the sugar ratio wrong. And parents grinning through the too sour or too sweet mess and praising your efforts. Lemonade Is a Thing.

2 parts straight lemon juice. From a lemon. Zest the peel into it for extra lemony flavor.

In New Zealand, if you wanted lemonade, you would ask for Lemon Juice. Not everybody had it, but it was there. Otherwise, asking for Lemonade would get you sprite.
How is it okay that, apparently, everywhere else in the world if you ask for a specific thing, it’s a total crap shoot as to what you’re actually gonna get?

Hi. Brit here. I’ve always known 3 types of Lemonade: that shitty cheap Sprite-esque stuff, Lemon Juice, Sugar and Carbonated water (what I usually think of) and Still Lemonade, which is what everyone’s describing here (and the only one I can drink. fuck fizzy drinks)
