I still think it's so funny how james was like "oh! my sister is upset because she thinks I've had to whore myself out to men for money! well don't you worry, sister mine from the upper class in 1820s england who cares greatly for reputation and adherence, this is actually my gay lover because I am gay!" and thought that would reassure her

I don’t often post sketches but i’ve been reading The Resurrectionist by A Rae Dunlap and have become a little bit obsessed with these gay bodysnatchers!

it’s been so fun to read a story that really indulges in the history and moodiness of the beautiful city I call home! and the audiobook is really something to write home about; the narrator brings such a personality and dimensionality to his performance.

I definitely recommend this book if you like historical gays and macabre settings. and HIGHLY recommend listening to the audiobook amidst a cemetery wander if you’re able (bonus points if you can make your way to greyfriar’s or cuthbert’s).
