For whom does the Dodge Charger charge?
Okay! Let’s talk about Charlottesville. Specifically the deaths in Charlottesville that occurred during what will henceforth be known as the ‘Dodge Charger Incident’.
Honestly, out of all of the false-victim signalling that BLM and antifa have done over the years, I think this one takes the cake. Yes, someone died and some were injured. Yes, that’s a sad thing. But to take those pieces of information in isolation would be to continue on the ‘hands up, don’t shoot’ disconnect from reality.
Just one look at the headlines that have been plastered everywhere since Saturday would have you believe that some random Nazi just plowed into a group of protestors with malicious intention. This is #fakenews.
Now, almost all news sources have been using this video, or a very similar angle, to show this incident:
Basically, what happened from the front. This angle shows the car ramming forward and hitting another car, before backing up, and then screaming and running.
Interestingly, some news sources have been have been playing this video… Which purports to be ‘drone footage’ of the ‘car ramming’ taking place. Except this couldn’t possibly be the correct footage as that’s not a green/grey Dodge Charger hitting the crowd. that’s some sort of red mini-van. Hence, more #fakenews.
Here’s what really happened:
The car had been surrounded as it was trying to leave the area.
The car suffered extraordinary amounts of damage at the hands of the violent protestors surrounding it.
The car backed up before driving forward several times (as through trying to get out) but was constantly surrounded.
Where’ the proof? You may ask? Voila:
You can clearly see there are dudes with bats and other weapons beating on the car.
Repeat: THE PROTESTORS SURROUNDING THE CAR WERE ARMED
And the car was being beaten on all sides BEFORE the incident took place.
Look at the damage to that front window. You can clearly see what would have caused that kind of damage.

Now, here’s where it gets even more interesting. A twitter user noted that footage from the back of the car just prior to the incident showed a protestor swinging a bat at the car immediately before it accelerated.
The twitter user calls this a “swing/thump/VROOM” sequence. That the driver had been trying to make his way out when it was surrounded again, and that final strike (after the car been getting beaten ruthlessly) may have prompted an escape or fear acceleration that resulted in the death.
At the end of the day: If you were in a similar position, and an armed mob was surrounding your car and beating it to a pulp with the intentions, perhaps, of breaking in and doing the same to you – What would you do? Would you be thinking rationally? Would you even be able to see through your destroyed window enough to know if there was anyone in your way?
The only reason no-one cares about asking these questions is because the dude was likely associated with the white nationalist crowd. Nothing he could have done, save for sit there and wait for the protestors to have broken in and beaten him, would be acceptable. Even then, had the protestors dragged him out of the car, and one of them broken their nail while trying to rip the dude’s throat out – We’ probably be hearing about that.
Oh well, I’m not here to be philosophical. Just to call out a(nother) very clear lie.
Does anyone else find it super strange that there was a craigslist ad looking for protestors and photographers around the time of the UTR rally/counterprotest? Yeah, it was for NC and the event was in VA – But that’s only a short drive. 4 hours, to be exact.
