After being struck down with Odysseus' arrow, he thought nothing else awaited him besides darkness. He started sinking in it, while choking on water of Styx. The only thing he saw was a slight light, that hit and blinded him every time some souls made some space for it. Never ending attempt to swim up in order to take a breath, but he never could. He's never reached the surface, Antinous had to always fight with himself not to close his eyes - endless battle with his body not to die again, breathless. Always on the edge, being not aware he was already dead.
