When women post this kind of content theyre doing their patriarchal duty of trying to groom other women into thinking "its normal and funny when your husband is a useless piece of shit".
That's the point of husband-complaining with zero intentions of leaving: they need to normalize it for themselves and others.
Other women laughing it off is supposed to be an emotional pressure release valve for the mistreatment so they can have the stamina to continue to endure it. And when we don't play our part: its a problem. Because you're getting treated like shit, there's no pressure release via others cosigning that its okay and all you're left with is the reality of the situation to deal with alone.
If I have to hear that man’s version of fast car one more fucking time I’m going to jail
Whenever I see a male cover on youtube, I just think to myself ‘why tf are they wasting our time with this’
Chapman's "Fast Car" ... listen, I live about 10km under a rock, so I didn't know the original. But when the cover was all over the place and the guy sang "somebody's gotta take care of him / so I left school and that's what I did" I knew instantly that No Man Wrote That.
“emasculating” is a euphemism for “demeaning in a way only women should have to suffer”
Whenever people look at me, a gnc lesbian with a buzzcut, no makeup, and unshaven body hair, and ask me my pronouns, all I hear is “I see you’re not being a woman correctly. Do you want me to pretend you’re not a woman?”
Everyone stand back I'm about to kick a hornets' nest
A fun thing about the kind of person who sees a post about how it's actually really fucked up that the default way for imperial core internet artists to produce merch is "outsource to services that pay pennies to workers somewhere in southeast asia to produce cheap trinkets with your designs on them" and decides to leave this kind of comment
Is that if you go to their blog it'll usually be full of posts talking about how generative AI users are irredeemably evil for using a service that exploits the intellectual work of widdle indie artists and pollutes the environment. Very fun kind of cognitive dissonance.
Using the evil slop machine to produce any kind of picture is a deeply morally reprehensible and exploitative act. Using the system of global imperialism to get acrylic charms with your drawings encased inside them made in a sweatshop somewhere in indonesia without having to pay anything close to a living wage for the people making them is the god-given right of any Artist and Creator™, and don't you dare criticize them for it, why are you pressuring small, independent creators?
Don't call them workers, bro. They're slaves. Some of them are child slaves.
When Nasreen Sheikh walks down a busy street, she doesn’t see the faces of the people walking by – she sees the clothes they wear and the su
Calling them workers is a euphemism that allows people to ignore what they are really doing: engaging in slavery in order to turn a profit. Words matter. The 8 year old clocking 20 hours of hard labor a day is not a worker, not an employee. She is a slave, and her torture and oppression is what brought you all the plastic junk you adorn your house with. Denying that won't make it go away.
r/NoStupidQuestions: If most women could realistically live to 80 and beyond, why does women's fertility decline so early?
We're only this successful as a species because we had older women, who had survived their reproductive years, using their time, energy and knowledge to help and safeguard, heal, organize, invent, teach, negotiate, plan... having a class of people with that amount of alent and wisdom, no longer tied to the high energy demands of reproduction, is wealth beyond measure when the day to day is about having enough berries and swallows of water to survive.
"Women live life on easy mode"
"Women live life on easy mode" says the man who abandoned his children and works an under-the-table job to avoid child support.
"Women live life on easy mode" says the boy who gets to attend school, while his sister has to stay home to cook and clean up after her male relatives.
"Women live life on easy mode" mumbles the man at a club trying to pick up women, while a drugged woman is being dragged out to the alley.
"Women live life on easy mode" says the unemployed man who spends all day looking at porn on the internet, while his mother gets ready to leave for her second job to afford their rent.
"Women live life on easy mode" says the man that harassed the only woman working in his field alongside his co-workers.
"Women live life on easy mode" states the boy who gets to wear tank tops and shorts during the summer while his sister has to cover herself head to toe.
"Women live life on easy mode" says the boy who gets to enjoy his childhood, while his younger sister gets sold off for marriage.
"Women live life on easy mode" says the man who pursues his hobbies and passions, while his wife gave up hers to raise their kids.
"Women live life on easy mode" cries the man who has to pay his ex-wife alimony after she moved for his career and gave up hers to raise their kids, leaving her with no support or financial means.
"Women live life on easy mode" says the man after returning home from his "visit" to a brothel full of trafficked women.
"Women live life on easy mode" say the men who live in a world that caters to them, takes them seriously and sees them as full people, and have the freedoms to do whatever they like.
I think one of the most insidious things about our current era of patriarchy is how much we are bombarded with women who appear to choose their own objectification, enjoying their own objectification and selling it as confidence and fun. The message being that any discomfort with patriarchy is prudish and unfeminine and underconfident. That this discomfort must come from our own ugliness and shame, something to hide and be insecure about, and that criticism of objectification is criticism of women ourselves. That we’re jealous and mean. Men are almost completely taken out of the picture- as executives, as photographers, as directors and consumers of our bodies and sexuality. The objectification of women is done by women, to women, and any repercussions will fall onto women. We are entirely self contained whilst men are free to watch from outside and consume our sexuality regardless.
Ok I need help. What is the quotation that goes like: “everything is boring for women. House work is boring. Sex is boring. Kids are boring. Marriage is boring. The world was not made for women.”
I cannot find it after extensive googling and it’s driving me up a wall.
Yallll I found it.
oh god the school shooter in bc was trans, this isn't going to end well
It was a school shooting, it was never gonna ‘end well’.
So, am I right in thinking that, in general, school shooting is okay, if one of the victims dared to misgender (read as "acknowledge the sex of") the school shooter?
pretty sure the maladjustment, entitlement, and depression/anxiety combo came first and transition was just the fashionable outlet, like the other 99.9% of youth who would have been nihilist angry emos in the 90s
"Women are inherently less violent than men" is in fact an anti-feminist position and should be more often treated as such???
Like. That's literally just radfem shit. That's literally just cult of domesticity shit. That's literally just wildly ahistorical and incorrect, too.
"Men commit around 90–95% of violent crimes, and most homicide offenders are male, although most homicide victims are also male. Women, however, are far more likely to be victims of sexual and domestic violence, so we have to do something about it. "
You: "holy shit, this is ahistorical and incorrect radfem bullshit anti feminist".
in my experience, when men say they’re more logical and less emotional than women, they literally just mean that they don’t experience empathy. even cognitively, they think that caring about other people without gaining anything in return is weakness. they’re glorified human husks and are encouraged to feel superior for it. ummmm
We truly will never be free because why is this most women’s response to another woman not shaving the hair they all naturally grow from their bodies? Acting as though it’s some alien sight. And what’s sad is I knew how these were gonna be before I even opened them. This visceral of a response over fucking armpit hair meanwhile men can look like literal werewolves and no one gives a fuck. Yet a post pubescent woman growing the hair (and I cannot stress this enough) that was intended to grow from her body has everyone ruffling their feathers. It’s truly mind boggling to me. Even beyond how misogynistic it is, it’s also just plain rude. To feel this comfortable making these comments on a woman who’s doing nothing but enjoying her life just because she’s not fitting the patriarchal standard to a tee.
Anyways this woman is beautiful and it’s insane how society has brainwashed women into seeing shaving, something so ridiculous and a general waste of time, as a requirement to be presentable. And to the point where you’re shunned for not doing so. But remember ladies, It’s a woman’s choice to shave/wax every inch of their body until they’re hairless. And if you critique this ritual YOU’RE the misogynist #choicefeminist 🤪
Everyone who talked about “running to the comments” should kill themselves
Like imagine being so sad you see a woman showing her body hair and getting excited to read the inevitable hate??
One of the most insidious examples of the erasure of transmasc and AFAB trans people in general is that when Roe v. Wade was overturned I saw about a million posts saying "trans people are going to be next!!" rather than an outpouring of love and sympathy for the entire *half* of the trans community that lost their rights to bodily autonomy that day
It’s misogyny op; when ppl say trans rights they mean men’s rights
Considering the fact that it's trans men being ignored in this situation, no, it's not about men's rights. It's transandrophobia.
…You’ve just completely misunderstood what I said
It's not misogyny, it's just a series of sex-based assumptions and discrimination based on our observable sex that doesn't affect the vocal majority of the trans community even though they're identifying as the sex impacted by misogyny. No one knows why this is happening as there has never been an easy way for humans to use their eyes and their brains to identify a stranger's sex. The current theory is that bigots are secretly lizard people whose infrared vision lets them see if you're packing.
i see two anime girls kissing and i feel nothing, this isnt a win for wlw, these things are barely human and they represent women as much as green M&M does
which says something about why autogynephiles relate to them so much
THIIIISSS omg. I really don't get the appeal.
When you look into this topic, you repeatedly see themes of dissociation and disembodiment; fetishizing lesbians, Asian women, and little girls; and paraphilias like autopedophilia. It’s very much a transracial Buffalo Bill situation in which men wish to escape themselves and project onto a fantasized version of the submissive racial-sexual Other. Asian women have discussed white men’s “Yellow Fever” issue for years, and the AGP-anime connection is just one of its more recent variations.

I think the place where so many of these “hyperfemininity but make it empowering” ideas fail is the assumption that men care about your interiority. Like “I present myself as a bimbo but I’m actually a full, self-aware, empowered person with thoughts and ideas”, yeah they don’t give a shit though. Every woman who has been made out as a bimbo or a sexpot or a Playboy bunny is a full entire person, with thoughts and experiences and opinions and feelings of her own. It’s not subverting anything to pretend that’s an innovation and that the new, ~empowered~ bimbo is separate from ye olde pinup girl. As long as they’re getting the catering and sexual gratification out of it, men aren’t gonna care about the personhood of the woman under the makeup. They never have.
