bio-essentialism was bad when it said that autism is an inherently masculine condition and it's still bad when people act like male autism vs. female autism is a strict binary rooted in how women are naturally better at having cutesy autism or whatever
That is a fascinating way of framing the fact that autistic men get more free passes to act like assholes due to general male privilege, while autistic women are still expected to be cutesy people pleasers due to general expectations on women. Male privilege even within other oppressed identities, but make it women's fault.
the reason why every few years there are thought pieces on the panic of dropping male graduates and dropping male grades and dropping male attendance in colleges is bc universities know it drops the value of their product
yep, because in our male-centric world, any time women get into something, it becomes socially devalued, because apparently if women are doing it it must not be very hard/important. ref. biology, ref. nursing, ref. school teachers, ref. social sciences, ref. programming
it's "women's work". but it's the foundation of society, everything would stop dead in its tracks without us
yep, if you can’t be a high paying engineer w/o an engineering degree, but suddenly the engineering field is majority of women, the engineering industry becomes devalued (been shown before that pay drops across an industry if it switches from male dominated to female dominated), then suddenly an engineering degree isn’t so illustrious. Or whatever degree…medical, law, etc.
When women post this kind of content theyre doing their patriarchal duty of trying to groom other women into thinking "its normal and funny when your husband is a useless piece of shit".
That's the point of husband-complaining with zero intentions of leaving: they need to normalize it for themselves and others.
Other women laughing it off is supposed to be an emotional pressure release valve for the mistreatment so they can have the stamina to continue to endure it. And when we don't play our part: its a problem. Because you're getting treated like shit, there's no pressure release via others cosigning that its okay and all you're left with is the reality of the situation to deal with alone.
If I have to hear that man’s version of fast car one more fucking time I’m going to jail
Whenever I see a male cover on youtube, I just think to myself ‘why tf are they wasting our time with this’
Chapman's "Fast Car" ... listen, I live about 10km under a rock, so I didn't know the original. But when the cover was all over the place and the guy sang "somebody's gotta take care of him / so I left school and that's what I did" I knew instantly that No Man Wrote That.
“emasculating” is a euphemism for “demeaning in a way only women should have to suffer”
Whenever people look at me, a gnc lesbian with a buzzcut, no makeup, and unshaven body hair, and ask me my pronouns, all I hear is “I see you’re not being a woman correctly. Do you want me to pretend you’re not a woman?”
Everyone stand back I'm about to kick a hornets' nest
A fun thing about the kind of person who sees a post about how it's actually really fucked up that the default way for imperial core internet artists to produce merch is "outsource to services that pay pennies to workers somewhere in southeast asia to produce cheap trinkets with your designs on them" and decides to leave this kind of comment
Is that if you go to their blog it'll usually be full of posts talking about how generative AI users are irredeemably evil for using a service that exploits the intellectual work of widdle indie artists and pollutes the environment. Very fun kind of cognitive dissonance.
Using the evil slop machine to produce any kind of picture is a deeply morally reprehensible and exploitative act. Using the system of global imperialism to get acrylic charms with your drawings encased inside them made in a sweatshop somewhere in indonesia without having to pay anything close to a living wage for the people making them is the god-given right of any Artist and Creator™, and don't you dare criticize them for it, why are you pressuring small, independent creators?
Don't call them workers, bro. They're slaves. Some of them are child slaves.
When Nasreen Sheikh walks down a busy street, she doesn’t see the faces of the people walking by – she sees the clothes they wear and the su
Calling them workers is a euphemism that allows people to ignore what they are really doing: engaging in slavery in order to turn a profit. Words matter. The 8 year old clocking 20 hours of hard labor a day is not a worker, not an employee. She is a slave, and her torture and oppression is what brought you all the plastic junk you adorn your house with. Denying that won't make it go away.
r/NoStupidQuestions: If most women could realistically live to 80 and beyond, why does women's fertility decline so early?
We're only this successful as a species because we had older women, who had survived their reproductive years, using their time, energy and knowledge to help and safeguard, heal, organize, invent, teach, negotiate, plan... having a class of people with that amount of alent and wisdom, no longer tied to the high energy demands of reproduction, is wealth beyond measure when the day to day is about having enough berries and swallows of water to survive.
"Women live life on easy mode"
"Women live life on easy mode" says the man who abandoned his children and works an under-the-table job to avoid child support.
"Women live life on easy mode" says the boy who gets to attend school, while his sister has to stay home to cook and clean up after her male relatives.
"Women live life on easy mode" mumbles the man at a club trying to pick up women, while a drugged woman is being dragged out to the alley.
"Women live life on easy mode" says the unemployed man who spends all day looking at porn on the internet, while his mother gets ready to leave for her second job to afford their rent.

"Women live life on easy mode" says the man after returning home from his "visit" to a brothel full of trafficked women.
"Women live life on easy mode" say the men who live in a world that caters to them, takes them seriously and sees them as full people, and have the freedoms to do whatever they like.
I think one of the most insidious things about our current era of patriarchy is how much we are bombarded with women who appear to choose their own objectification, enjoying their own objectification and selling it as confidence and fun. The message being that any discomfort with patriarchy is prudish and unfeminine and underconfident. That this discomfort must come from our own ugliness and shame, something to hide and be insecure about, and that criticism of objectification is criticism of women ourselves. That we’re jealous and mean. Men are almost completely taken out of the picture- as executives, as photographers, as directors and consumers of our bodies and sexuality. The objectification of women is done by women, to women, and any repercussions will fall onto women. We are entirely self contained whilst men are free to watch from outside and consume our sexuality regardless.
Ok I need help. What is the quotation that goes like: “everything is boring for women. House work is boring. Sex is boring. Kids are boring. Marriage is boring. The world was not made for women.”
I cannot find it after extensive googling and it’s driving me up a wall.
Yallll I found it.
oh god the school shooter in bc was trans, this isn't going to end well
It was a school shooting, it was never gonna ‘end well’.
So, am I right in thinking that, in general, school shooting is okay, if one of the victims dared to misgender (read as "acknowledge the sex of") the school shooter?
pretty sure the maladjustment, entitlement, and depression/anxiety combo came first and transition was just the fashionable outlet, like the other 99.9% of youth who would have been nihilist angry emos in the 90s
"Women are inherently less violent than men" is in fact an anti-feminist position and should be more often treated as such???
Like. That's literally just radfem shit. That's literally just cult of domesticity shit. That's literally just wildly ahistorical and incorrect, too.
"Men commit around 90–95% of violent crimes, and most homicide offenders are male, although most homicide victims are also male. Women, however, are far more likely to be victims of sexual and domestic violence, so we have to do something about it. "
You: "holy shit, this is ahistorical and incorrect radfem bullshit anti feminist".
