If there's one thing I've learned from horror movies: it's that you DON'T TRAVEL. You travel, you die. Or get severely fucked up. Case in point: Hostel. Do I really have to explain? Doesn't the movie open with dudes, in Amsterdam, having sex with hookers? Yeah..I'm pretty sure they die. Case in point: The Hills Have Eyes. Family thinks they're going for a nice, relaxing camping trip. Teenage daughter ends up sodomized by a mutant. Yeah.. Case in point: Human Centipede. These chicks go to like, Denmark and yeah. The list could go on. So..we have this horror/suspense story waiting to happen. Collectively. As a planet. It's called Mars One. The powers that be are going to choose 24 volunteers who are of "sound mind" to colonize MARS. They're going to travel. To MARS. Sounds all cool, right? Here's the thing, once they get there, they can't leave. Ever. Does no one else think this sounds like a horror movie? Does anyone else think this is going to end kind of fuckeduply? I'm working on a story. About this plot. A fiction. Feedback? What do we all think about Mars One, in general? At some point, I'd like to do a podcast about this idea.
