The Zoldycks coming after Killua and Alluka aren’t a problem anymore and they’re spending time apart. Killua is feeling a bit aimless, he doesnt know what to do with his life now. He still feels the pain of looking over his shoulder for like 7 years straight and he’s feeling extra lonely without his travel buddy.
Before long, Killua and Gon meet up again and they go out for an adventure together ( just like old times uwu) and Killua is talking about this loneliness.
Rewatching HXH is great i forgot how many little fucking freaks are in this show.
I had some designs for older Gon/Killua from when i watched it the first time so i just put a new spin on them! because. i like them. and i want them to kiss.

Narratively the reason why his hair is like this though is because his lust for adventure has been tamed :) BECAUSE HE'S BEEN ADVENTURING THIS WHOLE TIME YIPEEEEE and also has seen the horrors of the world.
Otherwise, i tried to keep to the style he had as a child. I think this silhouette is just perfect for Gon and if it ain't broke, dont fix it.
Although i did try to keep to his original style, i wanted to make it clear that he is an adult. So i just tried to give him a little sexiness about him. Like the strap from the pocket around his big beautiful traveler legs. Maybe just his legs. Maybe because i mainly wanted to draw big legs.
And i gave him freckles. what are you gonna do about it, huh????
Killua: he's has been serving looks since he was a child i wanted to continue that vibe because he deserves it. Gave him Big Clunky Boots so that he can match Gon's height a little bit more hehe
His earrings are meant to emulate cat whiskers cuz he's a little cat boy.
And no self respecting cat boy should be out here without some sort of cute speckles on their face so Killua gets some body glitter because I SAID SO. WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO ABOUT IT HUH??!?!?
Kurapika: you'll always be famous to me Kurapika. i love you s'muchhh. I didn't deviate too much from his original design but I wanted to see how time has both healed him and tired him out. I like the idea of him keeping his eyes red all the time to show his pride for his heritage and to show how confident in his abilities he is. He has no more need for his funky chain spears anymore because he's taken care of the Phantom Troop business so he wears it at the bottom of a little hair thready thing idk what theyre called as a sign of triumph.
Also i gave him a tank top with a high collar because i want to show how much more open he is, and i gave him a little scruff because I deserve it.
Leorio: I didn't deviate from his original design much either. All of these designs are so good, i don't even need to change much to get a good point across. Of course he's a doctor now <3 <3 congratulations king <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 As such, he has his white doctor's coat with his name embroidered onto it, i tried to make it his hxh language name even though he would also have his prefix and last name printed but i couldn't find the translation for that so LITERALLY GET OFF MY BAAAACK DO YOU HAVE A PRROOBELELLMM??!?!?!??!?!
I also gave his glasses the loopies so that he can be a cool doctor about it.

I was a fool and i did not include an Alluka design in my original post this is crazy.
Anyway i was thinking about how it could possibly be that eventually Killua wont protect Alluka anymore (Alluka says that she wants to set killua free eventually but she just wants some time with him first) so i was thinking like “the Zoldycks just need to figure out that kind of weird shit they got going on in their personal lives, they should get therapy.
Also this is the only way i could think of for the Zoldycks to get even more insufferable than they are currently. Narcissists (albeit trying to get better) armed with therapy speak. It’s beautiful….

Tried to keep the bones of alluka’s outfit, but just made it more mature. I tried to use two different patterns with her, the beads and the crossing threads, to show her two sides.
Its been hinted that kikyo doesnt like her black hair (or at least likes the white hair more), and i think since i cant see any kind of scar or anything under her visor that she wears it to cover her eyes too. Also i think cuz in the past her outfit was Japanese inspired but in current day its more European that maybe shes trying to distance herself from her culture too. So post-therapy Kikyo is more comfortable with her eyes, hair color, and heritage.

formalities aside oh my gosh leon is so attractive doing ths lowkey ough. yk how he never wanted to be a baseball player in the first place but wanted to be a musician? yeah he'd probably EAT with stage presence but suck at singing HAHA
