Obsessions: Harry Potter, Star Wars, Marvel (SPIDER-MAN)
I am currently writing chapters (for all the series) in bulk hence the lack of updates
I'm writing slowly but writing all the same
Okay here's my hot take- ron leaving Harry and Hermione in book 7 is more than enough to ruin ronmione for me. The death eaters are supposed to be wizard Nazis right - Hermione is the only muggleborn of the group and throughout the entire series has been dealing with blood purity in a way Harry and Ron can not relate to. As a black person I can't imagine my friends and I going on a quest to defeat the KKK and my friend/longtime crush abandons us. I UNDERSTAND the locket, the horcrux, and how it affects people, Ron's frustrations, him worrying about his family, missing his home, starving, I understand all of that, okay. I'm just saying, personally, I could never forgive that. I can understand it, maybe someday we could be friends again, but to continue on and marry him and have children. Are you fucking insane? Was Hermione angry at him when he returned? Yes. Was it nearly enough, given not only the abandonment but also the immediate danger of him exposing their location with his apparition, or even just him getting caught and legitimized (whatever the tense of legilimency is), and all of their information being stolen out of his mind? No bitch. And this is just another showing of JKR not being socially conscious enough to write a character who experiences discrimination, but especially discrimination that can result in death or worse. Everyone acknowledges that Hermione was at a different risk as the only girl; she was at a different risk for being the only Muggleborn. There's a reason why they chose to torture Hermione and not Ron or Harry in Malfoy Manor.Â
Now let me be clear, I'm not saying anyone's a bad person for shipping ronmione, I'm not saying the Ron is a bad person, I'm just saying that the choice for both of them to end up together is questionable at best.
Iâm back, a lot of shit happened where I couldnât get into my accounts but weâre back and weâre back with content. Specifically for Harry Potter and the Necromancer -my re-write of the series (starting from POA)- I have the entirety of POA outlined and ready to be written and book 4 is in the works.
For those that donât know, the story will essentially follow American transfer student Willow Blake who is *surprise surprise* a Necromancer - very dangerous very scary very unnerving for wizarding society - and how she influences the story (Iâm telling you now a lot of plot shit is going to change but yk the prophecy stays the same- donât worry bout it
Iâm going to try a flesh out side characters ( the other kids in Harryâs year from all the houses, Cedric, Cho, the slytherin parents, teachers, etc) so if youâre into that, check it out.
Harry x willow, wolfstar for sure, not sure about the other ships weâll see as we go (strong and realistic golden trio friendship- theyâre 13 letâs be real).
OH WAIT- a few months ago Iâve already wrote 5 chapters hindsight 20/20 these chapters are not my best work-especially as Iâve taken/taking a writing class recently- and I just much prefer the version I have now. So those will be deleted and the story will start fresh. Iâm looking to delete and start posting soon
so yeah thatâs the update; ALSO thank yâall so much for the love, such a nice suprise to see so many likes, follows and reblogs thank you thank you thank you I hope to keep yâall satisfied.

Sirius gets super excited and all of a sudden there's a massive dog doing that excited leaned back stance dogs do, shaking its tail, practically vibrating with excitement. Peter makes a really good joke while the Marauders are studying in the library and Sirius falls out his chair laughing, then there's a dog barking excitedly which the rest of the Marauders need to hide from Madam Pince.
Out of fear or anxiety Peter pops into a rat. The Marauders are preparing a prank and they're standing in the middle of the hallway just waiting for the prank to go into motion when they hear McGonagall coming around the corner only for her to find three out of the four boys standing in a semi-circleâŚaround a ratâŚweird. James is trying to hype up Peter to ask the girl he has a crush on only for Peter to turn the second that he sees her out of straight up social anxiety. The boys send an absurd amount of time carrying around rat form-Peter in their bags or pockets to make sure he doesnât get trampled on.
Scaring James is not allowed. This was discovered when ,you know, for some harmless fun Sirius decides to scare James and Remus upon entering the dorm only for James to turn into Prongs and ram Remus into the ground. It took two hours for the boys to: calm James enough to stop running around/tearing up the room, calm him enough to turn back into a human, and clean up the mess. James was very apologetic towards Remus who just sat on the floor for the past hour hoping not to get trampled and knocked on his ass again.
Sometime I forget how much I know about Harry Potter (it is one of my oldest hyperfixations)
Like I'm going through youtube looking for a new video essay to watch and I found one and itâs a very long video discussing all the problems in Harry Potter. And as a Harry Potter fan and a Marauders fan etc etc I can confidently say there are a bunch of issues with the books. From not-so-subtle racism and stereotyping, ableism, to stupid worldbuilding choices, to plot holes etc etc this story is not perfect at all (and as a like quadruple minority I am not okay with it at all and the dozens of headcanons and rewrite that fix the issues listed above(or at the very least fucking address them cause what-) are the ONLY reason why I put up with it. )
But I have consumed so much Pottermore/Wizarding World articles, and read so many extra books like Fantastic Beasts and Quidditch Through the Ages and engaged so much with the fandom that like the plot holes mean nothing to me. Like I was reading through the comments and some said smth like Oh Mould on the Wold is a wizarding village and Iâm like no technically Hogsmead is like the only all wizarding village in britain and there is another comment where they are like âa phoenix only gives one feather and that doesnât make sense given how many wands must have phoenix feathersâ and its like no not really when you consider that phoenix wands are very rare and that the whole one feather per phoenix thing isnât actually true its just that Fawkes specifically only ever gave two feathers making those two feathers and Fawkes very uniqueâŚ.
BUT LIKE to people who havenât dedicated their entire life to reforming this fuck ass story in their head that like what? Idk man itâs just nothing tells reminds me that Iâve spent so much of my life in this fandom like internacting with normal people who donât have everything fucking memorized, analyzed, and reformed in their head.Â
(That said though like the way (some of)Â this fandom has developed to have space for minority groups to acknowledge the issues in the story and to rewrite the story to make it more inclusive is my favorite thing)
Yk who i've become weirdly emotionally attached to through fanfiction?
âŚLucius and Narcissa Malfoy.
Like that is mama and papa. I blame The Unexpected Malfoy, Like Brothers and The Missing Sister but I just love them so much. Like I can not tolerate purely evil, unrelenting blood purist Malfoys anymore. I need nuance. I need some form of remorse. I need morally grey. I need family first.
I need Draco first.Â
(This is my way of asking for recs on more fics that have grey or good Narcissa and Lucius. I love them so much.)
I ALSO CANT STAND WHEN LUCIUS DIES! FUCK-
God fanfiction is so crazy why am I emotionally attached to good father figure Lucius Malfoy-
Ugh I love complex MalfoysÂ
(i also love strong friendships between the slytherins in general anyway i'm done thanks for listening)
I love haikyu so much. Like it is my favorite anime. Character development, loveable relatable characters, no plot armor in the best way possible, emotional and comedic moments, great animation (90% of the time (we all have our off days shut up)), rewarding payoffs- just everything I could ask for honestly. Just so much fun.
The only anime I can sit and watch like watch watch. Love it so damn much I went ahead and read the manga cause I could fucking wait for the newest seasons/movie to come out. I remember sitting in my fucking Spanish class trying to hold back tears during the Nekoma game AND when Hinata got sick. Like that doesnât happen to me, Iâm not a cry type person but this show perpetually has me fucked up.
I just fucking love that show so much.
(This is my way of letting yall know to expect more haikyu content because I have lots of ideas Iâve just been holding onto throughout the years. Please please please with a cherry on top send in any ideas yall have whether you want me to expand on them or just to share- let me know.)

There is overlap in these traits but when it comes to their thing, their niche.
James Sirius is the artist (in every sense and medium)
Albus Severus is the academic
Lily Luna is the athlete
James was the kid to draw on the walls. His paint hand prints were everywhere. Used the pots and pans as a drum set until Harry bought him one of his own and set it up in an extra room. The room quickly became filled with loads of instruments, so many that they eventually expanded the interior of the room. The room had instruments, paints, markers, canvases, posters, fake walls to be spray painted on, a recording area, shelves to be filled with vinyls, sketchbooks, and journals. He writes novels, short stories, and poems. He knits and crochets (Molly for sure taught him). He creates and paints pottery. Anything creative James has a hand in it.
Albus Severus who is so incredibly book smart. Starts reading absurdly young. Cares so much about learning about all there is to know that Ravenclaw is a genuine consideration of where he should be placed. Spent almost all his time growing up outside looking to the stairs for Astronomy studies. Loves to be babysat by Neville because Neville has an amazing greenhouse and is always willing to explain what every plant is, its properties and how it's used most frequently. And then in the muggle world (because Iâm a firm believer that Harry makes his kids go to muggle school) number one student, the one kids go to whenever the teacher is busy. Doesnât really have a best subject but he likes Math and Science the most.Â
Lily Luna does every sport, every damn one. In her pre-k some girl is talking about gymnastics and Lily is like âI want to do thatâ and Harry is already used to giving into his kids creative endeavors so he immediately signs her up and she is a natural. Then it just expands, she is on almost every single team that her school offers. Swim, track, cross-country, volleyball, skating (ice and you know regular skateboarding), snowboarding, softball, american football, soccer, every single sport. From the age of 4 every single week the entire Potter family is at some sort of competition or showcase to support the baby of the family. Quidditch isnât even a question, girl is one of the -if not the- most successful Chaser to come out of Hogwarts.
All of them are very successful in their fields, the Potters have several display cases of trophies, ribbons and plaques with all their names. And while they are all talented in parts of each other's fields, its very select you know? James is a chaser and Albus is a seeker, and considered two of the best of this era in Hogwarts. Albus sketches the plants that he discusses in his notes, and Lily has been known to doodle on her essays. And Lily and James are considered some of the best of their years. All of them are very powerful and talented but they dominate- no competition- in their respective fields.
Thinking about Fleamont adoptingâŚbasically any and every child in need of guidance.
Very âWe may not know each other but if you ever need help, Iâm here.â energy.
Like people always talk about Euphemia being everyone's mother and I agree 100% but Monty??
Donât play with him.
Theyâre in Diagon Alley and a sales associate is being really just underhanded while talking to Remus and all of a sudden Remus just feels two massive heavy hands on his shoulders and Monty just starts tearing into worker, making incredibly specific but accurate reads into who they are as a person until they look like theyâre going to cry. Once he feels satisfied he just steers Remus away, bringing him back to the others, not even bringing up the interaction that they just had.
Theyâre all at Slughorn's party and some high member of a subsect of the ministry makes a comment about how impressive it is that Mary and Lily are so talented given their âbackgroundsâ and Fleamont is just like, âWhat do you mean by that?â The person sputters some incomprehensible nonsense before excusing themselves hurriedly. The second theyâre gone Fleamont turns to the girls telling them that if the situation is safe to do so that they should never let people speak to them in such a manner, âWhen that happens and no one says anything, they grow comfortable. Never let them be comfortable.â Even though he speaks softly as to not be overheard by god knows who, his tone carries enough weight for the message to stick with the girls for the rest of their lives.Â
James would come and complain how his friends are being treated; how Sirius is crushed under expectations, how Remus (despite being the most competent person his knows) may never get a job, how Lily and Mary are always spoken down to, how Marlene and Dorcas get treated like shit by half the school since going public and how everything just isnât right.Â
And Fleamont would listen, he would listen as his son goes on and on about the injustices of the world and how he canât understand, why and how? Fleamont feels a little crushed as he hears his son's voice crack as he asks his father for answers that Fleamont knows he canât give. He and Euphemia tried their best to raise their son to be aware of the issues of the world. And he was aware, he just didnât know. There are some things that one just has to witness to truly comprehend.
And so Fleamont is honest. âWhy? Well, wizarding kind has built itself off of expectations, rules, standards that are meant to uplift our kind and keep us safe. And so that is, what many believe, to be the root of the issues you present. Sirius has so many, too many, expectations placed on him because his family fears the unknown of abandoning the expectations, rules and standards that their ancestors placed however many years ago. Wizards decided centuries ago that werewolves were dangerous and have kept that standard. They also set the standard that old magic, family magic, is superior therefore muggleborns get treated as if they are inferior. The entire standard of old magic comes from the idea of magic being passed down parent to child parent to child through ânaturalâ births and so Marlene and Dorcas may never be treated in a far manner, for where you and I see a happy healthy couple, others see opportunities for magical improvement through magical marriages -and children- ending.â
Cue James adamantly stating how everything his father said is bullshit with no backing. Fleamont calms James down enough to explain to that as high society pureblood men, they have an obligation to those around them to speak up in places that those with less standing arenât able to.Â
Fleamont is an absolute menace in Wizengamot. The Potter family is a gray family, but when it comes to social matters, that man is on the dark family's necks.Â
A dark family will propose a new law and give a long winded speech -that is just fear mongering at its finest- only for Monty to speak up at the end to swiftly rebuke every single point that they brought up.Â
Why? Because he refuses to allow people to turn the world that his son and his children-in-arms live in into a world of fear.Â
Something I like to think about is like black Hermione and desi Harry not letting Draco breathe.
Like if he even huffs at them its just me with âIS IT CAUSE IM BLACK/BROWN?!â and every damn time it makes Draco sweat.
Blaise will sometimes chime in with âYeah, bro stop being racist, I know Iâm your token black friend but-â and Draco just looks mortified.
Everyone knows that Draco isnât racist, the way heâs sent people to hospital wing for the shit they say about Blaise and Pansy is enough evidence, but it's funny to see how the wind immediately leaves his sails as his eyes widen astronomically.
Jegulily but likeâŚok stick with me. So Lily and Regulus are like friend of a friends through Snape. So like itting in the library together, walking to the Great Hall together but like Severus is always between Lily and Regulus so their just bickering over him and heâs just like â...enough.â And over the years they grow to tolerate each other and become legitimate friends but they still bicker. And it becomes a situation where flirty friends who fight but like don't ever insinuate that they're flirting because then they'll both just stare at you until you're uncomfortable and you leave.Â
MEANWHILE James is still flirting heavily with Lily and like he has his eye on Regulus too but like way more lowkey yk. And heâs a little jealous of Regulus and a little jealous of Lily. Maybe Lily and Regulus have kissed before and gone to Slughorn's parties together, you know, completely platonically no sir, not a date date. But as the years pass James pulls himself together and starts to know Lily as Lily and not just the girl of his dreams and Lily starts to think that heâs not all that bad. James and Lily start dating and Regulus is fine with it, you know. And like genuinely fine with it, mainly because⌠he was here before James and heâll be here after James.
Bro genuinely doesnât think that theyâll last, places a bet with Severus that they wonât last till ChristmasâŚ.
Chritstmas passes and broâs eye is twitching. And it's not like Lily would ever throw Regulus to the side like that's her friend. And Regulus has always kind of talked shit about James, like any good friend does about their friend's partner. But Lily never thought that Regulus may legitimately like her.
She tells James as much, that no her and Regulus were never together or anything of the such and that sheâd really appreciate it if the two of them could get along. James, trying to be a good boyfriend, agrees and starts acknowledging Regulus more frequently than before. (What boyfriend hasnât tried to at least win over their girlfriend's best friends, and he sure as hell isnât going to win over Severus so he might as well try with Regulus).Â
Cue snippy remarks and blank stares on Regulusâs behalf. Regulus has a long list of reasons to not like James Potter including but not limited to: dating my friend (who he most definitely doesnât have feelings for) despite the fact that he was rejected for several years and lowkey taking over his position as Siriusâs brother.
In every relationship that Regulus cares about it seems that it's destined that the other person has some connection to James Potter. It doesnât matter that heâs rebuilt his connection to Sirius and it doesn't matter that Lily stays by his side, Regulus canât help but be a little peeved whenever James is brought up.
Days pass and despite Regulus refusing to give James the time of day, the boy refuses to stop yapping his ear off about whatever is on his mind. Maybe his favorite food was served in the Great Hall, maybe he aced his Transfiguration exam, maybe heâs really pleased with his Quidditch teams performance, it doesnât matter James is going to tell Regulus. To Jamesâ credit he does always ask for Regulusâ opinion or thoughts, it's not his fault that Regulus doesn't respond.
Regulus has witnessed for years how persistent James could be but now with the efforts being toward him, he just doesnât know how to act. Initially the plan was to ignore it, ignore him until he gave up, crawling back to Lily to whine about how rude Regulus was treating him. But it has been just over two weeks and the man refuses to back down. Not a day has gone by without James spending at least five minutes having a one-sided conversation with Regulus. Lily is frequently there to witness them, smiling softly looking between the boys waiting for Regulus to crack and respond with anything.Â
But she isnât there all the time, actually she isnât there most of the time. James continues to go up to Regulus, out of his own volition. He has done more than enough to qualify as âtryingâ.Â
And that is what gets Regulus, that is what starts the small fractures in his frosty attitude. After a certain point he realizes James isnât talking to him out of obligation, if that were the case he would have given up a week ago, heâs talking to him to get to know him. Because James knows that he is going to have to share Lily with Regulus. Both of them have been very clear that Regulus is not leaving her life anytime soon, just as Lily doesnât expect him to stop hanging around his friends either.Â
James and Regulus form a friend of a friend relationship through Lily. Severus refuses to be around James (their beef has settled enough for him to not take Lilyâs relationship with James as a personal affront but he will not be in the same space as James if he can help it). So now its James, Lily and Regulus walking around Hogwarts together bickering. James and Regulus arguing about Quidditch and what type of wizarding dessert is the best and other niche pureblood nonsense that Lily doesnât care about.Â
Lily and Regulus' non-flirting never really went away, cause why should it? Its not flirting and its gotten to the point where James has picked up on the rhythm and flow of the non-flirting and has joined in himself. The first time he added to the non-flirting Regulus choked aggressively and Lily had to reassure James through her laughter that no, he didnât fuck up, actually he did perfectly and he should continue to do so.
Lily picked up on the underlying crush that the boys were developing for each other almost immediately and seeing James and Regulus grow to be...friends helped her accept that she herself held feelings for both boys as well.
She talked to James first given that heâs her boyfriend. The conversation was flustering undoubtedly but very honest as Lily refused to leave anything unspoken and risk room for miscommunication. Then Lily went to Regulus, James wanted to come with but Lily was scared that Regulus wouldnât be willing to be as open with James as he was with her. Regulus was taken aback and initially in denial about the whole thing, but Lily refused to leave until he could look her in the eye and confidently say that he didnât love her.Â
Ok so Matt uses his senses (and other information that heâs gathered) to tell if people are lying⌠but doesnât that fall into the same trap of a polygraph test? Like- what is the logic here? Cause right now in my head heâs just a glorified polygraph test (lovingly) but like it doesnât feel like Matt to dictate whether or not someone is telling the truth (and potentially a criminal that heâs gonna beat the shit out of) based of an incredibly accurate polygraph test. Because polygraph tests measure your pulse, sweat etc etc to judge whether or not you're lying but its not 100%, dykwim? Idk Iâm reading some comics and it's hitting me that Iâve never actually sat down and thought about the mechanics of his abilities.
Idk maybe im missing something please let me know if I am-
the black family tree is actually making me tweak out
like- i was looking at it and say arcturus black is arthur weasleys grandfather and sat here like "that can't be right" đŚ SURE ENOUGH IT WAS A DIFFERENT ARCTURUS BLACK- like dawg there are trillions of stars PICK A DIFFERENT NAME
(i do acknowledge like different in canon and out of canon reasons for this but its such bs cause i genuinely sat her for like 2 minutes like nah this cant be)
ALSO (according to the tree im looking at) both arcturus blacks were alive at the same time....cut the cameras
The Cruor family, known for their smooth dark skin, black curls and hazel eyes should have been one of the most, if not the most, respected family across the magical globe. And they would be if not for the sharp canines that were exposed with every charming smile given.Â
Yes, the Cruor family was noble and ancient in the most literal sense, several members being older than most wizarding families, a feat impressive to even other vampiric families. But the name went largely unknown outside of the vampiric community and the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures.Â
So, when Philip Cruor was told by his wife, Imani Cruor, that not only Gethsemane Prickle, but also Albus Dumbledore, were at the Cruor Estates gate, his eye gave an involuntary twitch.
Gethsemane Prickle wasnât a frequent visitor of the Cruor Estate (why Prickle wouldnât visit one of the most prominent families in her department, Philip could never understand) and Albus Dumbledore was a frequent visitor of the Estate.Â
An unwanted visitor but a visitor all the same.
black vampires in harry potter, thoughts?
also the tags are for characters that i plan to be incredibly important
First things first I dont fuck with the approximated ages of this generation. I just- no. Like the math isnât mathing for me, so in my head this is how it goes. I think Victorie is the eldest of the entire generation, I think she was born in 1998. That is not canonical but I like it so much more yk. I like to think that sheâs older than Teddy by a couple months. I donât think she was a planned baby (much like Teddy) but yk. Bill and Fleur were young and dumb and shit happens idk. I just donât like theâŚlet's say canonical implications of Teddy and Tori dating at such a young age, AND if Tori is born sometime during the war it's a little moral boost or whatever, this is what we're fighting for type shit, much like Teddy. (But this will also play into a headcanon that ill get into later in this post about like politics, social standings yadda yadda, so stay tuned)
I like to think that wizard genetics are weird, right. So in the case of the topic for this post, Victorie Weasley, this would mean that Tori and all of her siblings have Veela traits despite being like what an eighth (im dumb and bad at math so dont bully me if thats wrong) Veela. I like to think that Tori is the most Veela-like; where all of her siblings have the classic red Weasley hair she was born platinum blonde and just in general looks way more like her great-grandmother than anyone else in the family.
I think that she is kind of deemed precious by the entire family, I mean she was born in such a moment of darkness and provided so much hope for regrowth after the war and that never left.
That girl was spoiled, heavily.
I mean the first grandbaby and sheâs a girl. Molly adores her like no other and definitely hovers a lot.
I think Tori being born is a major part in fixing the relationship between Molly and Fleur.
ALSO imagine being Tori and learning the lore behind your mother and your grandmothers relationship before your birth. I feel like most people have a point where after youve grown up, maybe when youâre a teenager or an young adult, where you get to know like the family drama; imagine just ONE (because the weasleys have other shit to that i can get into later) piece of your family drama/lore is that your grandmother used to have beef with your mom and straight up used to hate her. Like the grandmother that you adore used to talk shit about your mom. (Thatâs not an uncommon thing at all, I know that something that people go through but its still crazy yk)
You know that trend where its people photos as adults and then as kids with the Megan song where its like âKnowin' nothin' in life, but I gotta get rich ¡ You could check the throwback pics, I been that bitchâ THAT IS TORI
I like to think that Tori and Teddy grew up like two peas in a pod. If they went more than like three days without each other when they would finally be reunited -especially as little toddlers- they were so dramatic, refusing to be more than 5 steps from each other.
I like to think George is the one who gave Victorie the nickname Tori and she just loved it so much that after the age of like eight she stopped answering to her full name unless her mom or grandmother (on her mothers side) was the one calling her.
Tori and Teddy are like the heads of the Next Gen. Way before they even became a couple they were the older cousins, they were respected and looked up to by the rest of the Next Gen, their just a power duo.
(I think Tori has like a two to three year distance between her and Dominique, and then I think that Dominique is kind of like the eldest of all the kids. So basically the next gen is Tori and Teddy, no kids born for the next 3 years, then Dominique then everyone else)
Tori and Dominique both grew up heavily in Veela culture. I canât remember if Iâve said it on the blog or just thought about it alot but I think that they both were sent to Beauxbaton for a couple years for the equivalent of muggle elementary and then transferred to Hogwarts.
I think Tori ( because she is so Veela-like) perhaps got bullied and harassed. Iâve seen a lot of people dive into the implications of being Veela or part-Veela so I wonât get into it too much but Idefinitely think that she had her fair share of just straight bullying.Â
Now a little bit of a switch up but stick with me. Imagine with me, that the Weasley family is a fallen noble house (maybe even ancient).
The house fell maybe during the first war or a little prior due to blood supremacy; they were clipped out the pureblood scene when they were just a little too loud.Â
Now the house has fallen and post-secondary wars the Wizarding World in Europe is trying to rebuild itself.Â
Tori (in my head) would take advantage of that.Â
Listen, we've seen the Weasley family kind of get treated like shit because of their relationship with muggleborns and their financial situation and their lack of political influence. In theory if they were to rebuild the house there would be no better time than postsecondary war.
But I don't think that they do. Molly and Arthur are happy just to be with their family. All of the Weasley siblings we know of , except for Percy, are (for lack of a better word) free spirited non-socially conforming people yk. Bill is a curse-breaker, Charlie works with fucking dragons, the twins opened a joke shop and Ginny is a quidditch icon. I doubt they give a fuck about social status in the sense of regaining former political power. Especially because they all seem to have had it kind of easy. I mean yes we know they get comments about their finances and whatever but likeâŚWeasleys are tough as shit, they'll just beat the shit out of you and call it a day.
Percy though is an exception, Percy did want to be in the Ministry. He was attempting to climb the ranks but I think after the warâŚafter Fredâs death, he does not care, at least for the next few years.
I think Tori does care. I can see a world where Tori is getting harassed because she is part-Veela and I mean lets be real there must still be Death eater sympathisers at Hogwarts and Ican only imagine he fucking target the next gen had on their backs. I don't think that it's an issue for the other kids because well they have each other to rely on and the older cousins aka Tori and Teddy who as the eldest set the standard of like hey we are not meant to be fucked with.Â
I think Tori and Teddy both faced heavy harassment for being half-blood and fought back. I think the two of them were perpetually in detention simply because they refused to sit there and take it.
I think Tori is bitter because of course this harassment isnât just little kid petty ignorant bullshit, this expands into the grander political/social scene. Her family is beloved by half the Wizarding community sure, but they are seen as Harry Potter's sidekicks. The other half would kill them if they could get away with it.Â
I think Tori looks around and sees that yes the war is over but ignorant purebloods still hold power. They still have their elite clubs and balls and still shoot down laws that could make change, I mean yeah a lot of people died or went to Azkaban but that was just Death Eaters, they are plenty of blood supremacists that couldnât be convicted because well they havenât done anything. They just refuse to let half-breeds into any important position of power *shrugs* voting against something isnât illegal.
In theory the Weasley House could be great and as the eldest Tori is in a position to make it great.Â
Tori Weasley looks at the snobby pureblood society and decides I am going to get in there and change it for the better or die trying.
Give me Tori Weasley who in her 5th year walks into Flitwick's office for her consultation on her future career paths with notebooks filled with information on Wizengamot, all the pureblood families, pureblood customs, etiquette, niche traditions, clubs, events, everything. Information on every level and subsection of the Ministry.Â
Tori Weasley who works her ass off to be the top student of her year, before because she simply was competitive but as she gets older she is intentionally trying to stomp on every highly-tutored pureblood who thinks they have an advantage. She wants to be the best with no room for discussion and she is.
Give me Percy Weasley who is watching his niece grow up to be a mini him. She always had his tendencies even when she was at Beauxbaton, obsessed with rules and wanting to know everything. She looked up to him. But now, Christmas of her 6th year, 16 year old Tori was like looking in a slightly distorted mirror. She rallied her cousins and siblings, yelling at them if they were too loud or bumped into her, messing up what she was writing.
Percy warned Tori of greed and ambition and how blinding it could be. But Tori just had to respectfully shut him down. Greed? Ambition? Yes, yes she could admit she could find satisfaction in always being right but at the end of the day this wasnât about her, this wasnât for her.
This was for the family.
Tori didnât want a position of power for herself.
She wants to rebuild the House of Weasley into a respectable name, politically, socially, and financially. She wanted to form allies with other like minded Houses like the Abbots, and wanted to formally politically oppose blood supremacy.Â
She wanted their seat back in Wizengamot.
As the eldest she had much to gain from this, yes, she would be the head of the family⌠but sheâs always been the head of the family. She gave the generation before her something to fight for during the war, she gave them something to live for after the war, she gave her generation a reputation to use for when they were at Hogwarts so that their years could be easier. And she would be giving all of her success to the next generation as well.
Tori is greedy and ambitious, yes, I mean you definitely wonât see her handing over the position as Head of the family to just anyone but so long as it benefits the familyâŚ
She starts her plan the second that she leaves HogwartsI think Tori is someone who becomes incredibly famous because of her efforts. I mean incredibly intelligent, beautiful, witty, and well known through coming from families that fought in both wars, I think she is set up to become a media darling.Â
Photos of her arguing passionately in Wizengamot make it on the front page and that is where she gets her start.Â
I think she grows into a name that is so well known that before she gets a seat in Wizengamot sheâs already building connections.
I like to think that Tori is incredibly successful, that she reestablishes the House of Weasley and garners more respect for the House of Prewett. Tori is making political moves shutting down underhanded oppression and advocating for different communities. Tori is at every event, every ball, every club. And I mean even the ones whose crowds are primarily made up of blood supremacists. Why does she go? Because you never know what youâll overhear. Why is she even invited? Because her name is too big in the Wizarding World to not be invited.Â
I think Tori Weasley is the youngest member of Wizengaot ever, becoming the official representative of the family and taking up the seat for the family at age 22.
I think everyone is incredibly proud but I think Arthur is the most proud. I think he never held a passion for politics or House matters but I would imagine that he is old enough to remember what it was like when the Weasley name was respected and we know that he lived through the disrespect that the Ministry put them through after the first war.Â
I imagine a seat in Wizengamot pre-first war used to be a symbol of status and respect because you have to fight your way to be an option to fill the seat and you have to be elected by your fellow Wizengamot members to actually take up the seat. Losing your seat in Wizengamot must feel devastating so to see it be regained, not only is personally satisfactory but also feels like a symbol of true progress.
(lemme know if yall want my opinions or headcanons on literally any character of any era because I have many, also if yall want elaboration on anything)
who are yalls snape fancasts, because (major respect for alan rickman) but i mean we all know that all the adults in the movie were way older than they should have been yk. Ive seen Kento Yamazaki (alice from alice in borderland, idk the venn diagram of a.i.b fans and hp fan but there you go) and I love that but id love more of an idea of who yall picture so lemme know
I think what I dislike most about snape is that he could be such a great teacher/mentor but he just isn't. Like we know from Half-Blood Prince that not only does he understand the material of potions as it exists but he actually knows how to improve it, to make it better. This could be the equivalent of learning multiple ways to get the same answer in math, like- Theres a scene in Prisoner (i think) where neville adds too much of an ingredient and fucks up the potion. That could be a really good teaching moment if snape just wasnt an assehole âoh you added too much of this, well class, whenever this happens you're going to want to add more of this and that to counteract it.â HOW DIFFICULT WOULD THAT BE- Because of the amount of fandom content i consume I donât hate Snape, this fandom has really made me consider him as a person. But like I will never get over the fact that in the canon heâs just a straight up bully. Like dawg is SUCH a fucking missed opportunity. Imagine if maybe in books 1 & 2 there's a misunderstanding where he thinks Harry is a little piece of shit but then he slowly grows to realize that harryâs life actually kind sucks. And he never really likes harry but he isnât a god awful person to Harry and his friends for no damn reason. And I think this wouldnât bother me if he wasnât meant to have a redemption arch. Like if it was just snape sucks even though heâs on the right side that would be fine, great example of shitty people can still make good choices, but thatâs not the intention, the intention is that we just excuse all of his behavior and it just doesnt fucking work like that. I think maybe its cause im a student but there is nothing worse than a teacher who willingly doesnt teach, expects you to do well, blames you if you dont, even though they didnt fucking teach you and just put the information on the board without explanation, and then publicly shames you not only for academics but also your personal life/ appearance. I have a lot of respect for writers in the fandom for making him a more fleshed out character, the older ive gotten the more i understand him (i too am quite the bitch). But Snape as a teacher and an adult in these kids lives is my confront character
