had a dream last night where there was some new superman media (movie? Show? Idk) where he and Lois had kids and stuff, like usual. But Clark started being a stay at home dad so Lois could put more effort into her journalistic career. It was awesome, but Clark still had the urge to write articles or something like that and so he decided to start a parenting blog and it BLEW. UP. He didn't put his name on anything but people matched it with his writing style in the Daily Planet and figured out that Clark Kent was the one behind this parenting blog, and so the rest of the plot was him trying to keep up with making blog posts about parenting realities without accidentally revealing that he's superman
guys im trying to write a sapphic relationship and i need help any and every suggestion and idea regarding the following would be helpful:
-the process of coming out -thoughts/feelings/experiences on dating someone who is not out publicly/to their family -IF you had someone help you realize your sexuality how did that happen -general timeframe of figuring stuff out

BARBIE LEGACY CHALLENGE PART 1
LETS GO GAMERS ok so I've attempted this one before and just did. not. get into it, BUT we're trying again!
RECENT ARFID WIN
very recent literally happened like 5 minutes ago GUYS I TRIED MARINARA WITH MY MOZZARELLA STICK AND IT WAS OK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have struggled with tomato based things aside from straight up ketchup (and even then) for YEARS. the only way I'd eat any non ketchup tomato sauce is on pizza but I still prefer really light on the sauce. Guys this is huge and I'm so proud of myself :DDDDD
Hey so just a reminder that most people are at the very least neutral to the idea of trying new foods.
If you’re default response to trying a new and unfamiliar food is anxiety and/or fear google ARFID. There are resources available that can help you. You aren’t dramatic or picky you are mentally ill and need help
YES YES YES Please PLEASE go look at symptoms at least and if you're feeling frisky, LOOK AT THE DIAGNOSTIC CRITERIA IN THE DSM-5!!!!!!
Especially if you are someone who has dealt with this since childhood and are a fully grown adult now!!!! ARFID wasn't a diagnosis you could get until 2013!!! For context, I've been experiencing symptoms since i was ~4, which was FOUR YEARS before that!!! Now, it's a much more known thing, so PLEASE do some research!!!
For me, I had struggled for years because no matter how badly I wanted to try new foods or eat normally I literally couldn't. I'd take one bite and be gagging and start sobbing. Finding out that there is a psychiatric diagnosis that explains why that happened was so relieving. If you are struggling like that please look into it, because there are few feelings that can be as relieving as knowing what's going on in your head.
Just a few more things: - ARFID stands for Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder -It is an Eating Disorder that is NOT caused by issues with Body Image -One of the somewhat common symptoms is experiencing anxiety or panic attacks around certain foods -If you have diagnoses like Anxiety, OCD, Autism or ADHD, you are more likely to have ARFID. -If you experienced something traumatic related to food (i.e. food poisoning, choking, etc.) you may have developed ARFID.
If you suspect that you or someone you know has ARFID, here are some simple resources that can help you figure things out:
(link 1: DSM-5 disorder comparison (aka how the diagnosis differs from the older version, which was exclusively for infancy and early childhood)) (link 2: Cleveland Clinic ARFID page (aka symptoms, causes, diagnosis, and treatment info))
Learn more about this mental health condition that affects your food intake.
Hopefully this helps out!!!!!
Something that is unavoidable for me as a person with Arfid is going places and then someone offering me their food. And because it’s obviously not my safe food I don’t wanna eat it but now they think I don’t like them because I didn’t want to eat their food.
Food being a primary way in which humans bond and express emotions is horrible for people with eating disorders.
Spin the wheel. That's who's trying to kill you.
Spin the wheel again. That’s who’s trying to protect you.
(If you have zero idea about the name you got, spin until you see someone you recognize.)
Are you safe?
Absolutely not. I'm dead. 100% dead.
I might stay alive, but it'll be a really close thing.
I'll take some hits, for certain, but I should be okay in the end.
A few attacks might get through, but nothing concerning.
The attacker might be able to get in one lucky hit. If that.
I am the opposite of worried. I'm 100% safe.
…Look. I've tried picturing this. But I honestly don't know how to answer.
(Six months ago, I did a version of this poll with about five hundred options on the spinner wheel. For this one, I more than doubled it.)
Concept: West Virginia based Drag Queen named Cunty Roads (or alternatively rodes for more pun action).
RECENT ARFID WINS 2!!!
Thought I would do another one of these because lord knows we need more positivity out here!
I MADE MY OWN GRANOLA!! I tried out my friend's recipe and it came out perfect! Having access and control over the ingredients has been so fantastic for this :')
I ATE AND ENJOYED SAUCY PASTA(S)!! I was able to eat tortellini in a butter sauce and it was amazing! I also tried fettuccini alfredo at a resturant and while i didn't fully finish it i was most of it and I'm so proud of myself! I also tried a recipe for a one pan pasta where you cook the pasta in chicken stock/broth and then add cream to it to make a sauce! I ate it and enjoyed it the first time but the second time I made it I was not doing so good mentally that day and so I wasn't able to eat it, but I'm planning on trying again soon!!!
I was able to eat in an uncomfortable environment AND I didn't let one bad thing stop me!! I went with my husband and some friends to a japanese resturant after working pretty much all day, I was not doing well BUT I smelled their miso and while I wasn't able to try it the smell (while unplesant) didn't make me gag!!! I ended up getting chicken tempura, and it came with veggies. I had some of the onion because its basically an onion ring, and when someone told me one of the other ones was potato i took a bite. I realized it was sweet potato, and i did have a small panic attack BUT I was able to go back to eating my chicken and i finished that part of the meal!!! It was really tasty too :)
Just to remind you guys struggling with ARFID, there is never progress without hardship, and so while a couple of these things had bad things that happened, it's still a win, because I didn't let those things stop me from still trying, and a lot of times that's half the battle.
HANG IN THERE AND KEEP TRYING GUYS <3
A good rule of thumb for AI is "would you trust a trained pigeon to do this?"
"We trained a pigeon to recognise cancerous cell clusters and somehow they're really good at it" okay great, that's something that could plausibly be a thing.
"We trained a pigeon to recognise good CV:s and left it in charge of sorting through all our job applications" uh perhaps consider not doing that.
the thing so many people don't understand is that the reason wikipedia is generally not accepted as a source has nothing to do with accuracy. wikipedia is (generally) extremely accurate! the reason wikipedia isn't allowed as a source for school is because it's a summary of other sources. wikipedia has correct information, but it gets that information from OTHER places, which are either primary or secondary sources, which lends them credibility that wikipedia technically lacks.
so yes, wikipedia is a GREAT resource to learn new things! but if you want in depth, specific, and creditable sources, don't use wikipedia! use wikipedia's cited sources!!
